Will not work for me, I get failer to load script in log file... Window7 daz 4.9
Exactly which version of DS - Help>About Daz Studio? I suspect you are using an older release, the script needs a fairly recent version in order to run (encrypted and binary scripts won't run in a version of DS older than the one they were saved from).
Ok, I bought this, and had a go last night. It is a truly great product! Revolutionary. That said, I am having trouble figuring out if you are able to add your own overlays, i.e. freckles...I am afraid the freckles will lose their appeal if the pattern is noticeable. Can someone tell me which parts of this product, if any, are user extensible?

So far, it seems that everything that I've tried that has a numbered template has worked, though the process of creating your own templates can be a little laborious to set up. Technically, all you need to do is copy the .pngs for an option and increasing the number by 1, then go to the templates in the runtime folder and copy one of the existing templates, rename it to match your png, and make the mods you want. Ideally, you'd then want to redo the pngs so the image would match the new effect you've created, but it's not strictly necessary as long as you know what the effect is supposed to be. That said, there are llimitations due to the script's design... I was hoping to be able to create tanlines for a wristwatch and "sunglass shadow" on the face, for example, but I haven't found a way to alter anything except the torso map in the Tan Builder. At least, not any way that takes less time than just going in and repainting the skin texture maps manually.

Oh and did you move the visibility sliders all the way up on the blotches? Its set to 50% by default I think. I just noticed that myself last night, so maybe moving that up to 100% would help (apologies if you already tried that)
Yep slider was at 100% it was also applied more than once. The skin is one built using SB3, the character is just a dial spin.
Rita I did render, the dark arms and legs only show in preview not on render.
After some fiddling and experimenting it seems that you have to do the blend before you do the blotches etc, otherwise the blend won't show on render.
It is best to follow the tabs in the order they are arranged at. Colour blending is part of the base skin options, which should be done before any other details are added. Multiply colour blend shouldn't give any issues but if you use the blend option on normal, that will erase any details underneath since normal applies a solid colour overlay.

Can you send me your log file please. Also are you sure only one version of Studio is running in your task manager processing list? Sometimes when you force quite Studio that instance is still in memory when you reload Studio.

RIght now all tan options use a universal face mask sInce the focus was on body options. If you want you can edit the face mask in the tanlines texture folder. Limbs cannot be done since arms and legs use the same universal map called Tanlimbs.jpg. This was done to cut the tan application speed in half. It just took way too long when dedicated maps were assigned to arms and to legs as well.

How can I get the entire SB3 window to show? I'm using Windows 7 64-Bit, DAZ Studio version 4.9.3.166. I cannot view all the buttons. This is all I can see:
1280 x 800. I'm on a desktop and have a monitor that is capable of higher resolution, but then I'd have a hard time seeing the DAZ Studio interface. The fonts are small enough for my old eyes as it is. If the resolution is the problem, is there any way you can make the window sizable?
So... if I can't raise the resolution, there's no way to use the script? Can you make that area scroll as the Screen Optimizer does? I'd really like to be able to use this.
We will see what can be done on the script. But we cannot make any promises.
Thank you! I really want to be able to use this, especially at a size I can read ;) I'm wondering if this is the problem that the other folks on the Mac (?) are having where they can't get to the buttons... thinking I read about that problem...

Good to know. I was kinda going though things in order. Its enough for me to get lost in for sure.
I am getting "Unable tp locate file" on many of the modifications. What did I do wrong? Veins, Nails, eybrows etc.
I get this too, what is the fix?
Can SB3 be used to modify existing skins?
