    the amount of time it took to get that moth in a position that I liked was incredibly long... probably spent longer on that one thing than it took to set it up add fur and render...

    I'm working on a nature picture. One of those places you can find here on the west coast of Norway. Small marshes at the bottom of cliff faces.  

    On the other side of the cliff, it goes downward to an other marsh.

    Rocks, grass and terrain is made by me, and trees are by HowieFarkes.

    I love your use of grasses with the water and terrain, the shaders of the terrain, as well as the use of Howie's tall-trunk trees. The mix of colors looks really nice.

    Norway, eh? Could also pass for some places I've seen in Upper Michigan.

    A couple Carrara renders I made for the Aug 9 - Aug 22 PC Inspiration Contest. I like to try and fly the Carrara flag in those, but don't always have time to create anything so these were just quickies; I think from concept to posting for both renders was about 2 hours total.

    Using the Fountain Collection for Iray https://www.daz3d.com/fountain-collection-for-iray. I like using props in odd ways, so I combined one of the fountains with a building texture from FilterForge and put some of PhilW's Night and Day City https://www.daz3d.com/night-and-day-city in the background with one of the included signs on top.

    This one used the Vintage Style Safe https://www.daz3d.com/vintage-style-safe.

    I should add that these are the first renders that I used the new LightX plugin lights. I am really loving them. laugh

    testing distance fog (atmosphere tab) jointly with hdri:

    1- without fog, hdri only

    2- same settings but with brown reddish fog

    3 - with dark blue fog

    Just messing around with Lukas in Carrara. Octane shaders are pretty raw. But the shaders for Carrara's native render work fine. Here I attached screenshot of my settings for his skin.

    Misty,  Reminiscent of a Robert Heinlein book... think it was "Friday"??... couldn't find right cover for "Friday"... perhaps my memory from many years ago is bad or my paperback had diff cover... there are more than one version.

    Ohh... Could it be "I Will Fear No Evil" which looks similar, diff background and pose a bit diff without Vyusur's magic touch. Check out the pic for it HERE.

    Likely read all his Books, first one in grade school being "Citizen of This Galaxy".  Same as with all of Asimov's books. Also a lot about Dragons.  Sci-Fi and Fantasy... cool... same as for Steven King's books.
