Pay-for stuff is fine, but I probably don't have time for a conversion ... your right. I'll look into it, though. Thanks. :D
I need Optometrist tools created for a kid's book. Anybody know where I can find some, or able to create some, for me?
Any more specific...I'm guessing you need more than an eye chart?

Lol ... yes. A bit more than an eye chart. It's for a kid's book. The child has to go to the eye doctor and get glasses. Here are some pics the author sent me from a visit to her ophthalmologist's office:
Here's the rendered version of the Eye Scope. Anyone know what this device is actually called?
Wow! OK ... I'm sold. I'll need to buy these in parts ... but they are mine! ... lol
Are the textures to be included?
I believe it may be termed a "direct ophthalmoscope":

HTH (^_^)n

Yes, the textures will be included. I'm only using five textures on it and three of those are common recycled textures I use in many of my products. The other two are extracts from the images you posted above. And just so you know, creating the mesh took about 2 hours, the texturing took another 2 and 0 in research.
Someone posted a link to a Turbo Squid model for the major optic equipment in the other forum. At the price of $80, that's cheaper then I quoted you. However, it doesn't have the table and mounting arms, which I could make if needed.
@ M F M - Thanks for the info and link. Yep, it's a ophthalmoscope. I am sure I could have done a search to find it, but I had already put too much time in on this.
BTW- I am sure this model is not accurate. I assume there would be a light on the back side, but I had no references to go by (without more searching).
I need two things with this current book cover project. First, I need a dilapidated old cabin. Something like this: http://kaga.wsulibs.wsu.edu/cdm4/item_viewer.php?CISOROOT=/avery&CISOPTR=810&CISOBOX=1&REC=18
Second, I need to figure out how to create a dancing couple made totally out of blowing leaves. Any ideas?
I'm working in DS3. I found an ideal cabin, but it's for vue: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/details.php?item_id=64807
the dancing couple you could use Look At My Hair there is a way to export as instanced geometry and let you replace the hair with leaves..

That doesn't work in DS3, does it?

hmmm don't think so..
As far as the cabin goes. Is there a way to convert a vue freebie to a usable Daz/Poser object?
static prop? export as *.obj then import into DAZ or Poser
static prop? export as *.obj then import into DAZ or Poser
But I don't have vue, so what opens it other than vue?

its free oh wait, probably can't do an export..
ok E-on Software is entirely too picky...
so a cabin, something like this?
Sort of, but it needs to look abandoned an being taken over by the elements & surrounding woods. Are you building this, yourself?
Did you see the link of the one I wish I could open? http://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/details.php?item_id=64807

yeah I downloaded it, but I don't have a program to open it, so I threw together that one in Hexagon just as an idea
Assuming you have a 2D graphics software with layers and know how to make brushes, this is how I would do it:
Create your scene in DS3 with M4 and V4 posed as the dancing couple.
Hide M4 and V4, render and save background.
Hide background, unhide M4, render and save as a PNG file.
Hide M4, unhide V4, render and save as a PNG file.
Load the M4 PNG file into your 2D graphics software. Use a selection tool to select M4.
Go to the layer above the M4 layer and brush in the leaf patterns. It will all stay inside the shape of M4 due to the marquee selection of M4. You can delete the layer with M4 afterwards.
Repeat the previous 2 steps for V4 with a different leaf pattern and / or color.
After you remove the marquee selection, you can brush in leaves outside the shape of M4 and V4 to create the illusion of blowing leaves.
Here are some PNG file of leaves sold by DAZ http://www.daz3d.com/autumn-leaves-resource-pack
actually this is kind of fun haven't done much in Hexagon in awhile

I think I follow all of that. Definitely going to try it :D
Don't know if this prop from PoserDirect will suffice for an ol' shack
Vines & trees are from various packs.. leaves blowing around is from the snow tool here at Daz
took around 30minutes to throw together & render in Carrara
you could export M4 &V4; as an obj, open in ivy generator and grow ivy on them, import the ivy obj that results into studio and turn down the opacity for the stems.
Dry Jack has a shack here
Cool building. I would need to modify it and give it a porch, but it might work. Do you have a link?
For the leaves, how controllable is that snow tool? Can I condense the pattern to fit the shapes of a dancing couple?
Never heard of Ivy Generator. Definitely sounds like a cool tool. It may be just what I need ...
And thanks for the link search ahead of time. :D

buildings:
www.poserdirect.com/buildings.html
the snow tool isn't that controllable but will do for leaves blowing around the couple
ivy generator is here Fenric did a plugin that uses it for Carrara but the standalone on an obj works quite well imported Studio and Poser.
it just creates ivy around an obj as a seperate obj you can then save and import
oh good the experts have shown up... :)
