Kessiah (Dryjack) has this one, http://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/details.php?item_id=64438
It's already set up for Poser/DS.
Mock has this one...

buildings:

the snow tool isn't that controllable but will do for leaves blowing around the couple
Thanks for the link.
The dancing couple is made of leaves ... blowing leaves swirl & morph into a dancing couple dissipating again. It's a YA paranormal book.
I think I'll keep working on mine, might come in handy for some hillbilly renders...
speaking of renders.. a quick cobble together in Bryce.....
Rareth, your shack looks really good, one never can have too many different shacks for a derrelict town!!
I grab every shack going in hope of doing one one day for an animation so would certainly use yours too.
thanks, my weak area is UV mapping, as in for some reason I'm all thumbs when it comes to it, so I tend to go with material groups and procedural shaders.
Do I need carrara? Or it's a standalone tool? I just import any saved object into ivy generator and grow ivey on it, then export that ivy as it's own .obj, to then import back into Daz?
Does it include the textures and export them along with the obj?
I love the Daz forums :D I learn so much asking for help & tips here. :D
By all means ... yours is looking closer to what I need than anything else so far :D That render is awesome!

thank you, took longer to render than to make in Bryce.

no, Carrara plugin a seperate thing.
yes, basically, you just import the obj, select a grow point and watch it grow, can do several, gets big quickly so go easy, need to manually load texture maps in surfaces but it is uv mapped and yes, just the ivy model saves for re-import.
lots of tutes on youtube and elsewhere if you search Ivy Generator Thomas Luft, I git the link to this original version via Blender Foundation, there are a few modified ones floating around too but wanted the original to be certain for copyright reasons though he does allow plugins to be written for other software as it says on the page.
Plenty have been but not Daz studio so far.

Now if I can just figure out how to install it ... lol. It downloaded as a rar file and my rar opener has a gaggle of files and I can't figure out how to get to the exe file ... lol.
look in bin for IvyGenerator.exe
oops png textures need opacity maps made for studio, I rarely use it in studio so forgot, hope you know how, only just got photoshop2 myself!!
extra note, as you see, it HATES Genesis! mesh not triangulated
Thanks :D I got it to open :D Now to go play with it.
I'll have to learn the opacity map thing, though. All in time :D
I will admit I usually grow on buildings, Daz people mesh is proving a pain in the butt!!
need to send to Hexagon, select all and triangulate I think so this might be more trouble than you wish
great for growing on other objects though, works on most I try.
ok started another version of the cabin, needed to get materials zones in place and do a test in DS, trying not to go over board on polygons. still need to make some proper textures in Shader mixer, but hey learning alot as I go..
anyway, test image of cabin imported into DS
Chiming in a little late on this. Here's a cabin. Might be a little "toonish."

Same artist has other models:

ok little more work on the cabin, definitely need to spend time on textures,
Thanks :D I'll check them out :D
Trouble or not, it still needs accomplished ... lol. I need to make a dancing couple, made of swirling leaves, however I can do it. I bought the snow tool to create the surrounding flying leaves. I now just need a way to create the dancing leaf-couple in the center of all the swirling leaves.
I ave hex, I just don't know how to use it ... lol. How do you recommend I do it, again? And hows do I do the opacity thing you mentioned before?
You are doing such a great job. I can't use it for this project, but would definitely love this for other projects I have. Do you have a website?
I use DS3, so genesis isn't even an issue. How do I triangulate and exported v4&m4; waltzing? They'll be clothed, too. Exporting all as one prop or object.
export them all as one obj then in Hex select all and triagulate under utilities I think, not on my computer, will look later and do a screenshot.
for the leaves I would just browse to runtime textures and use some one elses leaves like LisaBotanicals which have opacity maps
can use non-ivy leaves that way.
I use Carrara as I said and can do everything in Carrara, one reason I dislike studio is I need to use so many outside the program workarounds.
but for those keen it is all doable.
Depending on just how you invision the scene, Bryce has some textures that do a good job on leaves..
I like the third and last one :D But I don't use Bryce. I wonder if Infinito could do what I need?
some screenies
top untriagulated, will not work
where to find in Hex
the fixed result
VERY slowly growing
yawn bottom half hour later, still going
Looking so cool!
I just found out the ghost/couple lived in the 1920's and are waltzing. Anybody know of any waltzing dance poses?

well the colors are off (not sure where the purple is coming from..) but half an hour in the shader mixer got me this
I found this

about an hour later
and I crashed it
