Well, I, for one, have needed a decent centaur since the beginning. And I appreciate all the armours; so, I don't have to try to get things to fit. Thanks, Daz, for giving us what we need.
I love it. I haven't had a good centaur since the oooooold Poser centaur, but Daz....for the love of Mike...have some pity! Didn't I give you enough money last month? :P

Well, I'm somehow puzzled. Expected Ophelia 7 as this figure was referenced in at least one recent product.
Think I own all of the G3F pro bundles (exception is Lilith where starter was a better deal for me), but this one, I don't know?
The two guys and the hair shall work with all G3M, poses and the 4 outfits seem to be Centraur only whereas one could always kitbash as some of the elements are really nice. Bundle seems to go below $40 once bought with three add-ons. But that would be even more Centaur-only stuff probably. Hmm - but might skip that one.
I figured there would not be a centaur without first a new horse. I WAS WRONG. Though I'm looking forward to somebody who buys it telling us about the horse parts-- are they actually new? I suspect so; it doesn't quite LOOK like a horse, but sort of a horse-lookalike. Which is fine for a centaur!

Huh, the forums lately sure seem to have an "everything should be made for me" issue... and the price is on par with the Horse 2 pro bundle.
I am curious about the horse part as well, is this from DAZ Horse 2, or new model? Wondering how easily existing Horse 2 poses can be adapted if you copy and paste transforms from the limbs.

Does it work on G3F I wonder? To make a centauress? Of course, you'd have to do something about the anatomical elements, which on closer inspection are present LOL At first glance I thought this was more Knight-Mare than man-stallion.
I *like* that this seems to be usable with *any* of the G3M characters.
No, the horse portion is not the DAZ Horse 2, although there are similarities (I would definitely not expect the DAZ Horse2's textures to work on the horse portion. Or the morphs -- although I could be wrong about either of those). Given that Centaurs are mythical, the artists have a good deal of leeway on how realistically horse-like they need to make them. I think they hit a reasonably happy medium.
Can the human torso be scaled down separately? Because with all these heavy muscles the poor centaur wouldn't last long, as his horse parts aren't adequate to the task of carrying such a burden, aspecially when it's weraing armor and weapons.
Well, this should be a funny thread anyhow. I'll skip this one for the moment. Too specific. But anyone who's interested should also have a look on Rogan addon by RawArt. The transition between horse and man looks IMO far better than with the base figure in the bundle. Now got to go back to Ponderosa.
Two of the Centaur 7 add-ons are G3M characters. They can be used for either Man or Centaur... The third item to reach the best offer would be centaur specific, though. (Add-ons include two G3M characters, four textures sets—one each for the four wardrobe products included in the pro bundle—and three pose sets.)
The horse part is a geograft, so it will not work on G3F.
Centaur 7 - well, that's a real surprise. I like him, and he has a nice big pro bundle. But... the two FW/FWSA characters are Iray only, and I don't need all this armour stuff... Chiron/Kheiron was a healer in the Greek legend - so he's got far too much war stuff. I don't know. I like the base figure and its textures and morphs, most of the characters and poses, and some of the armours. Hmmmm...

It might work using Cross-Figure and Slosh's Genesis 3 UV Swap products, even though the cross-figure resource was never intended to turn male figures into females. But even if it does work, it would be a stop-gap process, until Centauress for G3F is released.
I have absolutely no use for a Centaur or Centauress... So I suspect he, (and later she,) will end up in my cart sooner or later. An orange banner for supporting G3 males would go a long way toward making that sooner...

While Chiron was a healer, he was an exception among his warlike race--Centaurs were supposed to be beastly, the human part too often ruled by the animal. Heracles had some bad experiences regarding that (though, to be fair, Nessus actions weren't that dissimilar from what one could expect from Apollo; protagonist centered morality and all that jazz).
Regarding the new figure, especulation aside, has anyone tried a g3f port? I seem to remember that the difference in polygons with g3m was limited to the chest area, so maybe it will work. If not, how about parenting? It must be easier than with Horse 2. Also, any renders of just the geograft with textures applied to see how kitbasher friendly it is would be appreciated. Really on the fence about this one, I am not that happy about the possibility of just male centaurs or about having to buy the female pack when it comes out.

The two FW/FWSA characters do have basic 3Delight material presets.
You can always use GenX to transfer the desired female morph over to G3M, and then combine this with the centaur geograft to create a female centaur.

They're all DAZ Originals and DAZ has been very good about including 3Delight materials.
I got the whole shebang! Anxious to play but won't be installing right away--need more room.

A really funny beast indeed. What about a George-Centaur ? (because i do not and will probably not own the product, its only a quick-and-dirty photoshop sketch...) :)
Maybe it's a typo, but Kheiron's product page says:
All the others say male UV. I'm guessing there will be a female version. I like the bundle, but have to wishlist it for now along with a couple of other great recent products. I spent a lot on March Madness and recent personal events are causing me to cut back a lot on DAZ spending for now. Can't wait to see some renders from others. I really love the armors, hairs and characters in this one.
