This was quite a surprise when I woke up. The Pro Bundle galloped straight into my cart.

When I load Smart Content/Creatures/Male Centaur,  the figure loads in howver there are no textures on the male part (the horse bit is OK) I cannot apply textures to the male part. Pic #1

    Kherion (pic #2) is similar

No lights were used for the render

It appears the huma part is ovelaid by a "Centaur Shell"

Well I'm not keen on the junction area where the horse and torso meet and it looks real odd there with clothing.

The two FW/FWSA characters do have basic 3Delight material presets.

It doesn't say anything about 3Delight anywhere on the product pages. Did you purchase them and find out they have 3Delight presets?

I am really excited about the centaur and hope there will be a female version too.

Inner beast poses are not triggering a discount.

I purchased the pro bundle + a few extras. The presets ore for skin only, however I'm happy ( I thought they looked ok) with the 3Delight renders with the Iray facial textures using 3Delight portrait lights.

the geoshell probably blends the skins

you may need to select him in the scene list or under surfaces

Huh, the forums lately sure seem to have an "everything should be made for me" issue... and the price is on par with the Horse 2 pro bundle.

    Tell me about it. indecision

Just want to say a big "Thank you" to those who appreciate the work and dedication that goes into each product from all of us PA's. We strive to bring new, diverse and creative products to our customers. Unfortunately we just can't please everyone. But that's cool. I'll continue to work with inspiration from those who, even though they may not need a product, can still appreciate the work put into it.

Nope, can't please everyone, but please, keep on keepin' on! Love your work, Niki!

I really like this bundle and appreciate the effort which went into it (though the hip seam should have been the same as Ronan's for all of them, imo). However, the gender-based interaction poses are a massive let-down, as they assume all centaur-female interactions are romantic and all male interactions are aggressive. Is there any way to use the g3 male poses with a female char and vice-versa? It would have been great if the poses could be applied to either gender from the get-go :)

Bah, floating balls of nuclear fire are overrated. More seriously, what isn't overrated is the work you and the other PAs do around here. With all the diverse needs you cater to and the multiple angles those can be approached from, there will always be malcontents (like me, for instance), but I do believe the overall positivity of the forums and the growing enthusiasm of the community really speaks volumes and lets us know how much of an impact you make (at least on my wallet: I have seventy of your products and several more wishlisted). So, no, thank you. Really.

I feel your pain! I'm a writer. Seems like I'm chained to the desk. Art is sometimes my only escape!

on the off chance someone FBX exports it please let me know how that goes.

I gather the transition uses a geometry shell so I would need to replace that with a transfer utility conformed pieice (doable after creating a prop and using geometry editor)

the geografts may or may not work, some export perfectly rigged to iClone others dissapear leaving only the rigging no mesh, there is no way of predicting which will happen,

Ehhhh, the mainstream Daz/Poser world is still very much stuck in a pre- '00s "No homo"/heteronormative mindset, so I'm not really surprised (sadly). Luckily, you can apply female poses to male figures (and vice versa) with no hassles, save for some tweaking here and there. No autofit required, lmao.

That said, I'm quite surprised by this. Looks pretty neat! I'd been wanting some references for centaurs for a while now, but I kept getting major headaches trying to do the "old fashioned way", so this'll be a great thing to have on hand! While I'm not complaining that the guys came first this time, I suspect we'll probably be getting a female equivalent eventually, sort of like how Anneka eventually got the male demon-thing character.

I appreciate it too I just need more information as I do not use DAZ studio much so have to know what I need to adapt for iClone,

geografts are a 50/50 risk but can be used as separate figures linked if needed

likewise Geometry shells need to be made props then fitted with the transfer utility

its all doable and I do it often

but if things like hairs and outfits sway me as the ones in the pro bundle are it gets very tempting, I have wishlisted it for those alone,

I am needing dental work or I prob would toss it in my cart now am hoping a few renders and other users trying stuff will give me more incentive.

    Kudos and amazing work!

I really like when people think outside the box and do something really different.

(Of course, glancing at a promo, I'm stuck wondering... wth didn't anyone ever come up with a zebra morph/skin for Daz Horse 2?)

I'm liking all this ancient mythology stuff athough I've long forgotten the myths. What's next? Cyclops? Harpies? Griffins? Spinx? Medusa? Pan? There are so many...

    Wow.  Centaurs - way cool.

I myself am a G2 fan... but I'll probably make an exception with this one.  Gotta save my pennies.

Great work, you guys, keep it up!

I think we're confusing a  'private' conversation among forum members with the love and fawning that happens in the official commerical release thread.

Double edge-sword here. I'd like to be free to comment about Deviney's offerings and maybe even offer a harsh critique of something - (I actually don't and loaded up on his stuff(s) again this morning)

You don't (really) want HIM showing up and reading your negative comments do you? lol ...is the PA looking over your shoulder, cruising the threads? Maybe.

Maybe keep that in mind and temper the temper.

Maybe people take liberties because they HAVE SUPPORTED in the past. Soooo they can't say ANYTHING bad? No personal review? No personal opinion on something in a store? Really?

Can't say when they don't spend money- only post when they do buy something?

Or love something...or are a fan of a PA.......

Every artist lives in their own head. Me, me me...creating tends to be a lonely craft and selfish for the most part.

So I understand everybody's desire to chime in with their personal stake in everything that happens here.

I only render height-challenged-neanderthol-dancers-in-skimpwear so yeah, all these sales suck this week!

Lesson for the day: Be mindful of other's feelings - whether you are drawn to a product or not, that still somebody's baby.

Man, I would love to see a harpy for G3F! Granted, we'd probably get a tarted up version, but if they included something haggard/monstrous alongside it as well, that would be amazing.

Can anyone who owns the centaur tell me if the horse-hide has a bump map?

One of the (bizarre) absences in the Daz Horse 2 skins is that... NONE of them have bump, Normal, or Displacement. None.

I was a bit surprised by this as well. I didn't see any male riding the centaur  figures either. Could use some too. Generally female and male poses are interchangeable, so yes you can apply them,  but I don't particularly care for using female poses on men. There is a lot emphasis on hip and breast movement for g3 females. It can look odd on men. And yes you can change that by adjusting the hips, chest, and back.

  • While I don't need the centaur myself, I'm nevertheless happy to see something so unique!  I think this is really great and hope to see more releases that push the creative envelope.  Great job, team! :)

I've run into a weird problem.

I load the kentaur and apply a kentaur character in the loading/creating window. All is fine, and when I do a spot render in that window, it also renders fine. When I go to the render window, suddenly the huiman body is visible, and it also renders. If I go back to the loading window, all is fine. Did anyone encounter something similar?

Inorite? All I want is a bump map. My kingdom for a single bump map. Will, it doesn't come with one (other than the noise map the horse had), but I hope to have that issue addressed (soon?) with a supporting product, that did not get in on time for this release.

And Rawn's centaur body shape really is completely rockin'!

Edit:those are two completely different and unrelated thoughts. I just really love what Rawn did with the guy. Great proportions.

It comes with a bump map, basically just a square of noise.
