@Horo: That is so true. More so in finding something which produces an interesting image.
@mermaid: Thanks. Just following tutorials, m'am, just following tutorials. Or someone's wire frame setup.
@Miss B: Thank you. It was hard to chose which to post, but those two won the contest. They caught my eye.
If you want to see a very special render, following the link below.

there are very nice pictures shown in this topic!
Hope i can also post some of my pictures soon as i haven't used bryce yet but am planned to, just played a little around with it yesterday and looks a bit complicated for me right now :D
Thank you David for all these new tutorials. I could just watch the linked one above this morning, and missed my train ;-)
@chiisuchianu: Welcome
Welcome to Bryce and to this forum. Bryce is not that complicated, you'll manage in no time. Just click on everything and see what happens. Looking forward to what you'll come up with.
Thank you David for all these new tutorials. I could just watch the linked one above this morning, and missed my train ;-)
Sorry. Um... you might find the journal entry in my dA gallery. Yes Gallery. One of them things. Somewhat helpful possibly? http://davidbrinnen.deviantart.com/
And that besides, here's a clue as to what I've been working on.
Today I have mostly been playing with IBL and backdrops.
This is one of Horo's from the free Bryce 7.1 content (I added the water plane).
Interesting clouds today..
( "New Member" since 2006 :) )
Graham if you make a few more posts you will lose that "new" tag. Status depends on number of posts made to the forum in this new forum. We all started again from zero, just some of us are more chatty than others :roll:
and some :red: don't know when to shut up and end up with more posts than any one else. :coolsmirk:
Nice clouds btw
Am liking the Kite gdresh, eye catching, simple and very effective, if it were anywhere else though I might not look twice, but here, a pleasure to see.
Awwwww, how sweet. Daughter? Granddaughter?
@David - I'm REALLY liking the Islands 2. :-)
@Dave - That scene looks so tranquil, I feel like stretching out on the boat to take in the sun. :coolsmirk:
@David: Nice work compiling that list. What will be included in Islands 2?
@Dave: Great looking image. Love the water. Now if only a few fishing poles were seen hanging over the sides of that ship. Or lounge chairs on the deck.;-)
@gdresch: Ahhh, that image brings back memories. In my very youthful days I few one so far out it was only a pin prick in the sky. Nice work.
@Miss B: Granddaughter, first.
Ah the first one is always special...................................not that the rest of the tribe aren't special, but my first GD was special cos I only had boys,

David, Thanks for the very positive feedback on my recent Vol Arch submissions!!!!!!
@David: Thanks for the information.
Finally found myself a space ship that was in my price range, free, and added it to one of my star burst scenes. I also added an engine flair, which took watching one of David's videos again, tweaked the contrast in GIMP and the results are below. As always, please feel free to provide comments.
@dave - very nice one. The water looks good and is, in fact, not completely wrong. The boat is already at a place where frogs and ducks are.
@Graham - very nice kite and clouds. Looks quite real. Yeah, as Pam said, we all started small. I have now reached a third of the posts I had made before we got this new forum and all posts reset.
@GussNemo - nice spaceship you've got here.
Hello all, great work as always!
...here are a couple more variations on the ongoing theme.
..and it looks like I'm going to be getting some of my designs on shirts very soon. :D
@Horo: Thanks.
@TLBKlaus: Really nice images. And congrats about the shirts.
@TLBKlaus - looking good. It's always nice if there's a chance to get something out of one's labour. Hope it works out for you.
Went back to previous abstracts I did to try a few things differently, seems to have paid off.
Looking nice. Sometimes a bit of a pause helps a lot.
A new video from Horo,
Bryce 7.1 Pro tutorial - FOV as Compositional Tool - by Horo Wernli featuring many of his renders and also some very useful information that is suitable for anyone trying to compose a scene.
Also, I'll take this opportunity to point out I've spent many hours sorting through the 200 video's on my channel and putting the videos together into order, categories and then into playlists. This I hope will make life much easier for people to find tutorials to suit their current level of ability.
Thank you for publishing this video on your YouTube channel, very much appreciated. Here is the transcript: http://www.horo.ch/docs/video/pdf/Transcript_FOVcompTool.pdf
great job guys
skull
Watched one of David's videos recently and had a try to see what I could come up with.
Not sure if I need to cut the bottom of the image off a bit to make it look a bit better.
just tip it a bit - looks good
Tilt the camera up a bit, as bigh suggests, or change the size of the bump on the water.
@Horo: Good video, thanks.
@David: Nice work in organizing the videos. It will make it quicker finding a video.
Thank you Jamie.
