I was playing around a bit

I made some Viseme morphs but damned if I can get mimic to use them, it sees them

or editing the dmc in notepad in lipsync either

I have them all listed but the figure doesn't talk

I am puzzled because I can edit a dmc file to use ANY morphs even a cube or sphere I deform

yet they are in Parameters and show in Carrara too

I have no idea why this figure won't talk for me with a dmc

A lot of work must have gone into the joints.  Simple scene but a good test of bending the knees, shoulders, etc.  Really excellent rigging.

    Do kids still play marbles?

Wendy, I'm sorry, I don't have any skills in this kind of software. I only could teach my parrot to speak, but non of 3d models.

Hi Ted! Thank you for purchase and for your nice comments. It took me 7 month to complete this model, of course, with breaks on other 3d projects. You have excellent skills of creating poses for 3d models. The only thing that distracts in your image is rough shaders. So I decided to share my own universal shaders for skin and hair that work fine to me for quick native renders in Carrara. Skin shader is based on default Bree face texture. You can change it to any texture map of your choice. Hair shader includes synthetic transmap in alpha channel. You can change this map and also you can put any hair texture map in the color channel for more impact.

Feel free everyone to use that shaders for non commercial use. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1-oh9p0JWub_bK5ky16UM5cRibPPVhL3U

It’s ok it’s only really DAZ studio that is an issue

I can make him talk fine in iClone and will do some NLA clips the same way with your existing poses and some facial bone movements to use in mimic for Carrara

he can talk in all the programs that matter cool

Cool, Dave! I see, it was not a problem for you to fit nice clothing to the boy.

here is a Genesis 8 male pose for clothing conversions in DAZ studio,

convert to prop sadly fails for the transfer utility as it scales back  to G8M size though keeping the pose, an obj export and reimport is needed in place with rest of scene hidden

remember to convert to blended weight for Carrara after running transfer utility

its a bit rough so add a smoothing modifier to the clothes if it hasn't got one and collide it against a hidden Leon before exporting obj's too

I quickly modeled the tee and shorts in the first one and converted the clothes in the second one by deboning and refitting using carrara then DS transfer.. took a bit for that one... had to fudge the weight painting a bit devil cool

will get around to it but rendering something at the moment

it only was a 5 minute job posing and scaling in that plugin DS we need then saving the pose if you want to trycheeky

Just went with your pose, a bit of pokethrough in places but it turned out well overall. A Genesis & Genesis 2 pose would be nice !!!!!

Just found the transmaps for the hair - looks very nice with them applied !

PS I also saved the Blended weight as a character preset, none of the parameters were working. So saved the Blended weight as a scene subset then everything worked fine.

not terribly happy with this one

this is just it applied to the clothes not fitted

a smoothing modifier helps a bit but exporting the obj it still will need smoothing on the imported result and making body invisible in Carrara as I mostly do

The best way is to save as a new figure with a new name in a different folder.

I was messing with different clones and I found out that G3M clone works better than G8M. But is not perfect any way.
