Tingly ears? You might not want to sit out there too much longer, then.

    Tingle ears, tingle ears,
    Tingle all the way.
It's no fun to get frostbit
On a cold Australian day, Hey!

Never saw the sun shining so bright
Never saw things going so right
    Noticing the days hurrying by
When you're in love, my how they fly

    Blue days
    All of them gone
    Nothing but blue skies
    From now on

Another install of Lightwave for 11.5.1 gah 11.5 wasn't that buggy for me, perhaps I'm not doing fashionable enough stuff with it.

Random: instancers work best/are most useful when they drop the instance onto a surface, like an undulating plane :0)

So that means you can change a morph or pose in a clone? Still, it probably takes a lot more resources.

They were messing with the site again. I noticed that the Product Library entries look different. Check out one of your items, there is a download button and a download and install button.

    ...sporting complaint.

Bloody Spurs choked away a championship tonight. 5 point lead with less than a minute to go. Closing seconds and a Heat 3 point shot is missed only to end up in the hands of their "old guy", Ray Allen (who had not made a shot all game) who drops a three pointer with 5 seconds to go to tie the game and send it into overtime. A good number of Miami fans had already left the arena and the staff were preparing to set things up for the award ceremony before Allen made that shot. In the overtime, miscues and missed free throws by San Antonio pretty much sealed the deal for Miami. Series tied 3 - 3 with Game 7 on Thursday.

Apologies, but I'm one of those "small market" fans who's not into the "Steinbrenner" (NY Yankees former owner) approach of "buying" a championship.

    OK that said.

Did finally manage to get the final for my PS June Challenge submission rendered (some 3hrs 47 minutes later, almost as long as the forums were down). Still need to do the Postwork but taking a break.

...well that's a pain. .exes are gone. and all that is there is the "DIM .zip" download, so manually installing any Genesis based content is always going to be a pain considering some components need to go into certain places. And I don't even want to think about trying to figure out where different plugin components are supposed to go. Already been getting "not found" errors with some of the .zip installers which means I have to go through the entire runtime to find and move the misplaced components to the right locations.

It wasn’t broke all that bad, they didn’t need to break it further.

No, for plug-ins there still an .exe file. I just checked the Dynamic Cloth Control, it's still an .exe file. Only content will be in zips I think. Plug-ins and actual applications will still be installers.

...still, as I mentioned, with Genesis, certain components need to be in specific places or you get the "...not found" error like I have been seeing. That didn't happen with the .exe installers, only these new DIM ones. I don't use the DIM because I do not download directly to the workstation as my bandwidth from home sucks small planetoids. This is why perform all downloads at a hotspot, then transfer the installers to the Workstation vie USB stick and do manual installs when I get home.

The way it appears now, to use the DIM to install, you have to be online and DL the item at the same time.

Hotel Oscar Lima Echo Echo echo echo...

... KK, just fyi, the "Solar System Super Bundle DS" clocks in at 882.59 MB... o.0... and DIM (afaik) still doesn't support resume... >_<.</p>

Going to have to wait for a really slow period to get that one down >_<.</p>

ETA: no you don't need to be online to get DIM to do an install. I had downloaded a whole stack of DIM .zips prior to DIM looking stable enough to use (around 1.0.0.58 or whatever it was). I placed the DIM .zips that I'd already downloaded in the directory I'd specified as the "download to" directory, and DIM quite cheerfully found them and allowed me to pick and choose which to install. No connection required.

..well that's one product I guess I won't be purchasing. That is bigger than the Vue11 Infinite PL Edition installer and that took me nearly three hours to DL at the the hotspot which has fairly good bandwidth.

I tried to use the DIM on the Workstation in offline mode and could find no way to access what was on the USB stick.

    (a) Genesis content is no different than other content -- if you're getting "not found" errors either the zip was packed wrong or you're doing something different.

    (b) You don't need to download directly to the computer you're installing on, you can even download the zips from your Product Library and place them in the DIM download folder.

    (c) Plugins are going to zips also -- DIM can now process plugins and software.

Run up DIM. Select Offline mode. The little "cog" in the top-right corner (to show Settings). "Downloads" tab - the "Download To:" folder - change that to point to your stick (seems a little dangerous, because it's removeable media... but if you really don't want to copy the ZIPs off your stick into a "install directory" on your HD, so be it)... Accept... and then make sure you leave the stick in each time you run DIM. You may also wish to twiddle the "Show" settings under that 'Download To' field, so that it'll show you only DS 4.5+ (or DS 3, or whatever combo of applications you want to see files for).

Found out (b) by accident. I downloaded an item that the DIM wasn't finding the usual way. When I ran the DIM, there was the item in the "Ready To Install" panel; problem solved.
