...after what just happened today (see previous page) I'm ready to drink a bottle of each.
...I actually was on the modem at the time it occurred as as I had switched from the Hotspot's server because their bandwidth was getting hammered by someone streaming vids. Like I mentioned I was blocked from from getting on any other site as well as every tine I opened a new tab and clicked a bookmark the same screen would pop up. Currently back on the Cafe's server as I am finished with my downloads.
That 10$ surcharge does not include the fact I have to purchase their 120$ "hotspot" modem.
They just send you a bill here, wireless data bill shock is a recognised (by the Tabloids) medical condition that leaves people angry and speechless :o)
...that wouldn't be as much a bother as it wouldn't take effect until the current service month was over.
It's the whole blocking of service which has already been prepaid for until I agree to the surcharge for a service I cannot use until I spend the additional 120$ for the modem it requires (getting 0$ trade in on my current one even though I pay extra each month for insurance against failure or loss of the modem) is what riles me.
...can't help you on the tequila (don't really drink the stuff as it reminds me of paint thinner) but for Wodka's try one of these:
Vikingfjord - a Potato Wodka From Norway distilled with pure glacier water. Very smooth and clean.
Luksusowa - My personal favourite Wodka Distilled in Poland since 1928.
Monopolowa - Though made in Austria since WWII, it still adheres to the original Baczewski family recipe dating back to the late 18th Century. Extremely high quality, and over two centuries of heritage at a very reasonable price.
smooth and clean. tinks i can even remember a name like Vikingfjord.
swedish chef says something that sounds like fyord, yorrd deh fyord
Morning. Coldest day evah here, or something...
What a way to wake up....!

If you were here, damn man, I'd *give* you one of the bottles! (holy carp emote)

Effing message board! "Error Message: Unable to receive your submission at this time" - what BS.. (very angry face)
...thanks, about to head to the neighbourhood brewpub for their Wednesday "cheap pint" day.
They also have a very fast server.

It was lying. : )
Rock on! Have fun for me! (cool smile)
noes understand the silver fish symbolism?
fast waitress?
...that too.
Seems the "upgrade" was done anyway as I just plugged the modem back in and tested it after which there was a text message that read:
So evidently it was forced on me and I'll have to pay an extra 20$ next month (once for this month and again for July). The old modem still seems to work at least, for now.
The issue I have with being an instant "hotspot" is anyone else within range can glom onto it. thus impacting my bandwidth so there is zero advantage for the extra cost.
...you betcha' I'm going to call them tomorrow, and it won't be pretty. Looks like that thee bus/hour+ trip to the Comcast office has now become a necessity.
Well, I hear a pint or two of "CatDog" calling me so off to the pub.
Morning. Coldest day evah here, or something...
If that's the coldest day "evah", I'd like to trade. If that were our coldest day ever, I'd be quite happy!

...and over at the Daz Dept. of Redundancy Dept...
I was going to post a long, serious rant in here, until I decided that nobody, not even me, cared.
I won't be going out, for strippers and/or beer, because I was meant to write, and if I don't the freaking UNIVERSE will move against me until I do! (really pissed off face)
So I will work on my two short stories, and turn my long-form novels into serials.
And I hope nobody no-one no freaking annoying deity gets in my WAY so I can finally try to recapture a thing that existed for maybe a year.
The world is such an awful place, without her.
:D :D :D
Dana
I hope your mission goes well, Wooly!

It is a plaintext file, just one with an extension associated with DS.
Right-click on it.
Open with... either Notepad or Notepad++, which I'm going to recommend to you right now.
...not on the workstation (not at home) yet. If it just had a .txt extension, I would have known to do that. All these ".d-- this" and ".d--- that" files, who knows what it means?
I've tried opening a number of things with Notepad++. Either I get readable text, or a bunch of gibberish. If it's gibberish I close it quickly - Usually means it's something you're not supposed to touch ;P
Apparently you can modify CivIV savefiles with Notepadd. Change the difficulty of a save, even the leader and civilization you're playing as. Fun ^^
On another subject, I'm getting an art from a friend of mine (Commissioned, but the end result is the same :B ) of two of our dinos racing and having fun. Is looking cute so far :3
Mine is on the right, hers is on the left.
.dsx is just their version of an XML file. XML is used on the web a lot, but it's really just plain text in a specified structural layout, used for the storage of data...information. Just like the .dson files are actually their version of json files. json is a javascript data file format. They're just using web standards in their applications. You can put any extension you want on a file. The only thing it will change is whether windows can automatically determine what application to use to open it. The file itself, its contents and structure, will still be the same thing.
But the folder structure for the product is right there in the zip file, too.
Dana
...with a veritable alphanumeric soup of filetypes floating out there these days, tossing a new extension into the mix (instead of simply using one of the established counterparts) just adds to the confusion, especially when it looks similar to a more specialised filetype.
Apologies, but the way I see it, this is becoming more complicated then it needs to be.
Was there something about an Install Manager there?
OK...I admit it.
Victoria 6 popped up in the Store, and I bought almost everything.
I'm so ashamed...
*hugs*
Been trying to ignore it all :o)
Have the eye surfaces been updated?
