Dang! Your entire country is turning into a sauna! (terrified face)

    Yes. ;_;

I like sauna, but that's because you can LEAVE it. 24/7 is less fun.

I am so jealous. Here in the balmy UK it is chilly. So chilly that up into Mid Wales they had frost last night. I as you, frost in late June, and the heating on of an evening. I do hate this global warming stuff.

I found a fun place to waste my time:

Being a long time fan of Smallville, I morphed Tom Welling (Clark Kent) with Kristin Kreuk (Lana Lang) to see what their baby might look like.
Then I morphed Tom and Allison Mack (Chloe Sullivan).
    These are the results.

feeling a bit burnt out on tropes. do i need a plot? Seinfeld was about nothing. pwp/plot without plot.

i don't rightly know the difference between Captain and post-Captain. Admiral / Rear Admiral.

does rear admiral mean his ship comes last in a flotilla? what happens if the flotilla turns around? do they make a big loop so the rear admiral stays in the rear?

why am i puttering around with Vicki 1, so much to do. pwp/procrastinating without purpose

You can transfer morphs from G1 to G2 see (http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/24093/) but it would be nice if there was a tool or script that could handle it for you.

As for the not storing things in the cloud from a few pages back. You do realize that "cloud" is just a marketing term for a network accessible computing system right? The internet itself is part of the "cloud" so storing your data in the "cloud" is a requirement.

Storing your data on a server that you don't control can carry risks but 95% of the websites out there do just that. In fact I'd bet that any site you visit, except for Google, Microsoft of Amazon is probably hosted by someone else. The actual data for a lot of major sites is actually stored on Amazon's servers and uses their S3 service. Many major corporations do the same thing. Large server farms are expensive to build, expensive to maintain and hellishly expensive to run when you factor in power and cooling requirements.

I will agree that allowing a 3rd part to setup and maintain your online shop when that is the main way you do business may not be the smartest way to go. Putting it on someone else's servers is one thing, counting on them to code things properly is a whole different kettle of fish.

And from the looks of it Daz kind of threw the forums out there for the community but doesn't actually have a lot to do with them. They run on Expression Engine which is a fairly standard forum app. That being the case it's fairly easy to see that the emoticons are controlled by a file that points to where the actual images are stored. It looks to me like what happened is either someone changed the pointer file to point to a new location in preparation for moving some things around but the move never happened or someone moved the icons themselves without changing the pointer to show the new location.

Either way it should be a 5 minute fix tops.

...and it will probably be another couple months before someone there stops and goes "oh yeah, the pointer for the smileys, knew I forgot something".

Just washed and gave my foot blister a new coat of Neosporin™ and a fresh bandage to keep it clean. Looks like a normal blister after several days, now. A bit encouraged and more hopeful about the foot Dr. tomorrow morning. : )

I expect the next generation will be called Daz Basic Shape (Daz BS). The Daz Basic Shape(tm) will be able to morph into, literally, anything.

All people will be replaced with Daz BS(tm). You will see nothing but Daz BS(tm) in the store, and your emails will be filled with Daz BS(tm). In time, everything will be Daz BS(tm) and you will learn to love Daz BS(tm).

    *swims in circles screaming*

I've decided I'm going to hold out for Victoria 13, with Dynamic Jiggle(tm)

Dynamic Jiggle? There's a deformer for that in Cinema 4D (all editions too!).

Only downsides are that it truly is dynamic - other than restricting where you want jiggling with weight maps, it's fully automated.
Second downside is it requires motion to work. Faster and more sudden movement produces more extreme jiggling.

Dynamic Jiggle is also known as Soft Body dynamics in some situations :)
Saw a video by (Dimension Theory?) doing that with M4 I think in Carrara a looooooooooooooooooooooo.... *takes deep breath* oooooooooooong time ago. It was pretty amusing :3

I actually (and oddly) just bought a morph package for Genesis that allows one to simulate breast and glute motion. I have similar morphs for V4, so I guess if I were in a weird mood I could make a bouncy, pneumatic Vicky...! (evil grin)

True soft body dynamics would be cool, but I'm not holding my breath for them to appear in DS.
...ahh the "B & B" tool. Very useful.

Good diabetic shoes, just worn out. I'm supposed to replace them every year. I didn't. (smacks self repeated on forehead) You'd think I'd learn to be proactive where diabetic foot care is concerned after all the surgery and recovery time I've been through, but no.

Time to stock the fridge up with beer, fill the ice cube trays, and hide indoors all weekend! Yikes! (bug eyed face)

I had one twice...'66 Chrysler Newport and '69 Chrysler Newport. They both had 383s, the '69 had a positraction rear end. Those were tanks. And wide! I could lay down in the back seat without touching either door! Fit 6 comfortably!

...currently getting ready to cook up my Cajun Blackend fish. Have to use redfish as I still can't find any catfish up here. I wonder if it has to do with the Salmon Lobby (kind of like the Butter Lobby in Wisconsin back in the 50s - 60s)?

Red Potatoes are roasting away in a lovely mix of Garlic Tarragon Butter and Black Pepper.

    Buttered Baby carrots simmering nicely

Fish is all rubbed with spiced and ready to go.

The trick is timing it out right so that the potatoes and fish are done at the same time.

"A dear friend's cat is in need of life-saving eye removal surgery for an ocular tumor. He was unexpectedly laid off recently and unfortunately the $1400 pricetag on this surgery is way outside of what he can afford right now. I've been trying to raise awareness and seek donations for the poor kitty, so I created the below IndieGoGo account to help him out.

The alternative to this surgery is putting the cat down. If all of my watchers donated fifty cents we'd have it more than covered. (Not that I expect that, but it's a nice thought.)

I set up an IndieGoGo account to try and raise money for the surgery. If you have it in your heart to spare even just a tiny bit, my friend and his cat would be forever appreciative."

    http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/my-cat-needs-life-saving-surgery?c=home

I donated $25 since is all I can afford at the moment...

But eeesh... A tumor behind the eye?! That sounds all sorts of painful ><</p>
