...I've got a 3 kilo Halibut (not quite a kilometer long pike but it can still deliver a good smack).

3 kilos is quite a halibut! A smack from that would leave quite a mark! (aack face)

how much does a kilo weigh?

    teehee

    2.2 pounds

I have botanical knowledge of a gnat (please do not rely on me when it comes to plant life in a survival situation), but I've been told that a whole lot of greenery in that picture (at my in-laws' yard) has huge swathes of common butterbur (Petasites hybridus, the plants with really big leaves), and Orcus likes to spend his summers hiding there and watching people go by (and of course no one else can see him).

i'm stuck using IE at dayjob. coming to the forums gives me this security warning.

i have to remember to click 'no'. logic is opposite of the order of the universe.

If that's on the login page, you should click yes! Not that security hasn't already been compromised.

My writing app on my tablet is refusing to update, but I cannot use it until it updates. Maybe it is because I am in a busy library and lots of people are using the computers and wifi.

I complained and it updated. WTF?

    Squeaky wheel and all that.

I think it's approximately two pounds. Don't know metrics that well, that memory is from my high school days, related to something we won't mention here.

You get hummingbirds around those flowers? They look like the type that hummingbirds like, with the long fluted flower.

Nope, we don't have any hummingbirds (or nectar feeding birds in general) in my country, excepting ones in captivity, of course.

Did some doodles and stuff just now. Had a good time doing it :)

    From top-left to bottom right:
    -A Pakkun Lizard
-Youmu Konpaku* (I used a reference for this. There is NO way I could draw her without one!)
    -A raptor foot
    -Something... A worm thingy?
    -An empty box of donuts
-A carnivorous plant in the cliffside

It started with me just having an open page up, with my chin on my desk and only one hand doing anything - the one with the almighty stylus in it!

Well I doodled around, scribbling and just making shapes... And stuff started appearing :B
One of my art teachers once said when you can't think of what to draw, just lightly scribble and stuff. Eventually your mind will see something in those lines, and suddenly you've got something.

Well that pretty much was what happened here. I actually started in the lower corner, then went up from there.
Most of it just was uh... Random... But I felt good :)

    *Youmu is a half-breed actually - She's half-human, half-ghost! :D That "marshmellow-y thing behind her is Youmu's ghost-half.
Amusingly enough, she's afraid of ghost stories and "spooky things". Ironic, given she serves a ghost (Yuyuko - the Princess of the Netherworld)

ahh. i've spent the past hour trying to reinstall Daz Studio DAZStudio 3.1.2.32. Now i'm having issues with the base content that contains the fairy and millennium forest environment (summerwood).

the installer didn't install any textures in the folder DazStudio3\content\runtime\textures\daz

I'll try again after lunch. I'm using Windows XP and i am running as an administrator.

Are you sure it wasn't an installer that had the content in a separate installer? They did that for a while. Still do, I think.

I downloaded both the 122 MB file and the 53 MB DS 3 Base Content file. Victoria 3RR doesn't have her textures either. Victoria 4 quickstart looks fine in the OpenGL preview but odd in the 3Delight render.

I'll go create a new thread now... err, after lunch. I'll try using the full version of V4 with morph++ and another texture.

Don't worry, Orcus is just... ornery, y'know? He knows when to really move aside, but he's not going to do it until he must. He was just crabby 'cuz the dog was giving him a hassle earlier.

Speaking of the dog! Here's two pictures of her. The first one shows why I call Hilla as "a spinning top with a tongue and tail attachment" and the second one shows that dim little spark of some sort of wit she occasionally exhibits. (She's pretty, cute, friendly, loves people, but man alive she was behind the door when intelligence was handed out to animals.)

It looks like she might have a bit of german shepherd in her. Shepherds are some of the dumbest dogs I've ever encountered. When I was a kid one of our neighbors had one that found half a brick and would carry it around for a bit, then for no reason throw it up in the air and stand there while it came down on her head. She'd be dazed for a couple of seconds then pick it up and do it all over again.

But it felt so good when she stopped. :D

can we contact Australia High Command about this?

They don't even sell MP3s on their own official website, just CDs.

If you sign on to their myspace you can play all the tracks you want https://myspace.com/acdc/music/songs

oscar mike gulf, myspace is still around?

If those are the .daz scene files they won't work, unless you can load them in DS2 and save from there. Scene files from 1.5 or earlier are loading with corrupted UV mapping in DS3 and DS4.

Good news at the foot doctor. He excised the blister and part of an adjoining callus. No blood!
Just some antibiotic cream and a bandage. He said I'd been doing exactly what I should have, and to come back in a week. Yayz!
    (breathes deep sigh of relief)

Some fish fart as well - corydoras catfish live in low-oxygen water and will hit the surface and swallow an air bubble, which they somehow take the oxygen from.. then fart it out.

First time I saw my corydoras fart, I called the fish store in a panic! Very educational.
