...well, just went to their site and got on the support chat to get a better description of the service.

Seems I can just get internet without all the other stuff and at a very good introductory price (29$ for the first 6 months which goes to the regular rate of 44$ after that), Have to add 7$/month for the modem but that still is less than what I am paying now (for the first 6 months and just 1$ more after that) for a 20mbps connection with 300GB month (DL/UL). Yeah I know speed will vary from what is advertised, but to have a stable connection so I can actually stream vids (great when I need to pull up a tutorial on something) and with a router (not very expensive) I can hook to both systems so I can DL app, plugin, & utility updates direct to the workstation.

Going to head over to the office tomorrow (short walk away) to check into this more. The good thing is my place already has a lead and junction box from when it previously had cable service so installation should be fairly quick and inexpensive.

Not feeling violent (it's been done :D), just glad you may have found a solution to your 'net woes, KK.

    Yawn.

First I was woken up by the Horribly Screechy Kid of My Neighborhood, and then by a telemarketer. Feeling a lot like a swarm of wasps hopped on fermented apples had made a nest inside my skull.

...news to me too as the last I knew, to get the best monthly rate for internet, one had to do the whole telly/phone bundle thing. DanaTA's response prompted me to check into it again.

Still not completely sure about how much I will really pay as the fellow I chatted with mentioned something about the best rates being available with a bundle package so when I go there tomorrow (well later today) I'll inquire more (and there is still also the installation charge and equipment deposit to deal with). The one other concern is whether or not it involves a contract period rather than being month to month. If so, then it's all moot as that is what usually kept me away from considering the larger established telecom services.

I have been known to use a large wet fish for slapping (bass mostly). I find the SMACK very satisfying.

is the magnito compatible with IE8?

i saw KK's avi with Safari last night. but can't see some avies on dayjob compy with IE8. plus it's too wide. i have to shuffle the horizon bar back and forth to read.

    screenshot

okay, changed the view to 100%, but now is so small reading makes me dizzy.
firefox browser would word wrap so i didn't have to do the shuffle thing. woes IE8.

You have to remember that you're being served by the nearest cloud. If the nearest cloud happens to have a problem with image dispensing (could be like a single image, or a dozen), you don't see it. And the nearest cloud at home, at work, or on your phone could be totally different ones and you get a different cloud each time.

Edit: Also, when you use IE, make sure that your compatibility mode is on. This usually helps against IE's foibles.

Bah, that's nothing. Our ancestral folkhero pulled out a freshwater pike hundreds of kilometers long, and turned it into a feast, and from its jaw he made a magic zither...

Complaint: I can't see all of the animation timeline/editor window on my laptop. There isn't enough room on my screen. I have to hide a few toolbars everytime I want to scroll down to see the rest of the objects =/

Sorta hard to explain, but when there's so much stuff crammed into a small window... XD

    I feel your pain. (frownie)

Poser Pro 2012 is useless on my laptop because the 15.6 inch screen is too small for the UI.. DS 4.6 is at least usable.

I need an external monitor/keyboard, those are slated for purchase in July. Le sigh.

    Fishie fishie fishieeeeeeeeeee! >-))))))>

I want fish now and the only thing near me is a stupid Whatacatch sandwich. Nearest decent seafood place is a 3 bus, two-hour trip! (ahhhh face)

I'll make do with a fish sammich, I guess, for now. I'll have to make a pilgrimage next weekend...
