...huh? this is THE place to air one's moans and gripes.

Just because a lot of us are currently annoyed about the perpetual log offs and misdirects when trying to post or even preview what we wrote and our frustrations are aimed at the forum/site software doesn't mean we don't have a legitimate bone to pick.

He did make a comment on your render and character's back story and such. Perhaps he hoped for some discussion on his thoughts. But this thread moves so fast, and people miss posts all the time. It's not easy to keep up in here.

Thank you for the insight. Seems the ebot I clicked on when I got back home after stepping out for a while missed a number of posts. Paged back and found it.

This software is so bloody flaky.

...that is the individual user's responsibility not the host or other members who are inconvenienced because of these flaky individuals. If they are dumb enough to leave their computers open in a public place while unattended and/or not password protect their personal profiles on multiuser systems, then they deserve what they get. It's the individual user who needs to practice 'Safe Surfing".

I for one have a low tolerance of paying for and being inconvenienced by the the stupidity of others. I am sick and tired of clicking "Submit" only to be sent to the login page after which I am redirected to my account page every time thus losing what I wrote and the place where I was in the forums/thread.

I'm sorry, but the needs of the many outweigh the stupidity of the few.

I have to disagree with this. A site's security is the responsibility of the site's management and development teams. The stupidity of the few can lead to malicious code being uploaded somehow. I don't get into the hacking thing, but I know that it is easy to hack into a site if the proper security precautions are not taken. And since this site already is lapse in some ways concerning security, every step they take to make it more secure is important. If someone hacks the site and gets to the database and gets passwords and such, then it becomes your problem too. And you'd be crying foul pretty quick, and rightly so. But the fact is, you'd be paying for someone else' stupidity...but in a much worse way than you are paying right now.

The needs of the many can be denied by the few.

Yeah, that happens to me, too. It really...annoys...me. (being polite here) Too much about this site annoys me. With a team of their own plus a team of Magento "experts" they should have all of this crap ironed out by now.

    Complaint:
First of all, I like being a Platinum Club member. (Not the complaint)
I'm having difficulty finding things to use my Monthly Coupon on. (Now the complaint begins. I'm so upset, I ended a sentence with a preposition.)
Of the 76 new releases currently listed, 20 are Daz Originals.
Out of that 20, 18 are either free, Value Category items, or 1.99 items; I can not use my Monthly Coupon on these, or in the case of the Freebies, don't need to.
That leaves me with two items to choose from: V6 Pro Bundle (which I own) and a texture set for an outfit I don't own (and don't want).
Is it just me, or are fewer Daz Originals being released lately? I have a lot of love and respect for the PAs, but I can't use my Monthly Coupon on their stuff. (whiney emote).
I have just about all the older Daz Original products I need, I want to use the Coupon on newer stuff. (even whinier emote)
I also have a personal problem with the Monthly Coupon: it burns a hole in my pocket if I don't use it as soon as I get it, LOL. This is not Daz's fault.
So I ended up buying 2 texture sets for some V6 clothing I do own. Technically, yeah, they are new (there's still a NEW bar at the top of the product thumb), but they don't show up when I look at the New Releases page.
Did I mention this is probably a personal problem? : )

I empathise. Is even worse when one is a Bryce addict that only uses an older version of Poser as a plug-in for Bryce.

Complaints: unhappy guts, something I ate yesterday is getting its revenge today. It's supposed to hit 102 today and I need to make a lunch time bank run. Didn't get enough sleep last night. Feh in general.

    No non-complaints today. Feh.

...before the change in site/forums over a year ago user complaints relating to bad experiences with the software were no where near as prolific as they are now and yes the thread has frequently taken on more of a Daz "complaint department" feel.

Having been here for over five years, I am very familiar with the original and subsequent incarnations of the "...Complaint Thread" on the old forums and the frequent silliness involved. However after time, things evolve an such evolution is often triggered by certain catalysts, the most recent being over thirteen months of ongoing performance issues since the "Big update" (which should have improved and enhanced the user experience, but in the eyes of many community members here has failed to do so) that show no sign of going away anytime soon...even Daz soon.

...I hear you. All this lovely stuff just released last night including, FINALLY, a "real" looking full sized Grand Piano. Yet, I can't use my coupon since none are DOs. Still going to get the piano (if not the entire LA Dolce Vita bundle) as I have been waiting years for an accurate looking concert stage grand that would work for my story.

That said, I feel I'm in the same boat this month for all the same reasons. However I don't even have the V6 G2 stuff as a fallback because for me the jury is still out on the whole G2F case. Unless something comes out that catches my eye, it will be another coupon on a growing stack of not redeemed ones. This is not what I am paying to be a member of the PC for. Loss of the old Vouchers, which could be used for both PA (up to 50% of the price) and DO items (up to 100% of the price) for whatever the reason was a real blow. to the community, particularly us longtime PC members.

Over the last year I estimate I have lost more than half the value of the annual membership fee in unused PC coupons (including special issue ones) because there was nothing I either wanted, or didn't already have that was DO while items actually I wanted were ineligible as they were 1.99$/2.99$ items. About the only thing that makes it worth being a member anymore are the weekly/monthly freebies and the occasional 1.99$ prop/set that fits my needs.

Lately I've actually got more mileage out of the special 'thank you" coupons as they worked on anything in the store.

Glad to hear it. My day? Well, it's a day. Neither good nor bad, just average. My friend just dropped by for a minute to get the last little bit I owed him for doing my brakes...he needs it to get his inspection sticker. My sister popped in for a couple of minutes then took off again.

Complaint: Washer repair man was here yesterday and replaced the pump so that he could see what else might be bad...the motor and possibly the motor controller board are bad, so he ordered those and we have to wait until they come in. He said they'd probably arrive by Friday, but the earliest appointment was the 19th. He said to call when the parts come in and maybe they can fit me in at an earlier date. We've been without the washer's use since the last weekend in June. It's frustrating for Diane.

...OK now you got me wanting to do a Xin Xin Bubble Bazooka pic.

In the meantime here is a little something I whipped up yesterday with Xin XIn and a slightly bashed version of Jack's Nouveau Vignette. Replaced the original door, window and interior walls of the set with segments of the Folding Screens prop scaled to fit and retextured the interior ceiling with one of Marieah's freebie Wood Shaders

    Also Used:

    Krei Geisha textures for A3
A3 MFD with the Kimono Expansion retextured with Silkessence
    Cherry Blossom Hair for V4
Iron Fan (Silk fan) retextured with Silkessence
    Entry Guardians (pedestals) and Yukimi
    Mil Cat
Urban Environment Shaders (used on walkway and pedestals)

Yeah, but the keys don't move and the pedals don't move. (frustrated emote) It seems you just can't get anyone to make everything work in one model. That harpsichord by Ness Period Productions has all 61 keys rigged. When I tried to use it, a couple years ago, the textures were acting up. But the keys worked.

When you open the grand, does it have a reasonably accurate harp and hammer setup?
