I guess the only way I can get CMS fixed is to restore the computer to factory setting and reinstall everything. I got to plan this out to make sure I will have everything I needed backed up first.
Even that will not work if the PC updates again and the updates Break the CMS again. Finding the Cause it's not working NOW is much better way to do it and LOADS less work. But still work for a PC savy user.

Best to reboot Windows after uninstalling software, and to reboot before uninstalling if you had been using the software in the current session :)

Complaint: Very crappy day, the worst part of which was having to kill 3 hours waiting for a prescription renewal on Metformin. When it finally came through it cost me $2.42. :blank:
The rest of the day was of the generally crappy variety.
Non-Complaint: I have $15 of Store Credit, for unexpectedly winning the "Best Non-Entry" (which wasn't even originally a category) in the DAZ Monster/Creature Contest a couple of days ago. The money came into my account today.
I apparently excel at producing Non-Entries.

Add 1 more item to the crappy day list. The Store Credit magically zapped my PC Membership somewhere into the Vast Unknown™. :blank:

...this says to me the CMS is way to volatile to depend on if every new Windows update has the potential to corrupt the database. Bad Idea on Daz's part.as their developers would have to stay on top of every update to the OS which means other bugs will not get fixed.

...terrible tradeoff if you ask me.

LOL! So what's the plan to move that ache to a new place?

Wait a few years and everything will hurt except your hair.
    ...that already hurts for me.

And yet I've never had a single issue with the CMS and from reading around on the forums I'd think that the vast majority of Daz users never do.

I keep Windows up to date as well as all of my drivers and its never broken. I use Microsoft's Windows Defender for my anti-virus (actually Microsoft Security Essentials built into Win8) instead of Norton or McAffee. Testing has shown that the AV protection of Windows Defender is on par with Norton et. al. and it has a much smaller system resource footprint and tends to be less invasive. I've also run systems for years without any AV but then I don't click on links in emails and visit any potentially sketchy websites on those systems and I don't recommend that for everyone.

Maybe it's because I've been working with computers for about 35 years now so instead of expecting them to work I'm actually amazed when the damn thing does what I want it to. :)

It's never to early for ice cream and I've got some fresh strawberries that would go great with that chocolate.

Sure Happy It's Thursday... but.. complaints! :snake:

    - Intestines churning like cement mixer
    - Fuzzy brain as I come off the antibiotics
    - Would like to go out but more important to save up money
    - NO BEER UNTIL TOMORROW! (cry cry)
    - Leftover turkey burger for breakfast :blank:
    - More stupid time-wasting meetings
    - Need 20+ hours of sleep

    Non-complaints:

    - Paycheck showed up! W00t! Now I can afford beer tomorrow night!
    - Last nights turkey burgers with cheese came out PERFECT! :cheese:
    - Made it to my desk without having some panicked test dude jump me before I could even sit down
    - No emergencies to deal with waiting for me
    - Have some content money! Only enough for 1 item, but still, something!

I need to write the Shield-Maidens Tale portion of Olaf and the Giant Chicken, I'm too dead to be creative today but hopefully this weekend I can get to it. There's a lot of catching up to do and I still owe the thread a WAR VIXEN VS ZOMBIE render. Urgh.

    Woot!

According to Steam only about 3 more hours until my copy of ShadowRun Returns will be available for download. Then I have to decide if I want to actually play the game first or just dive straight into the toolset to make my own campaign.

Yeah, I saw that new V4 character. Not something I need more of but I'm glad to see it since it shows that they're still supporting the older characters even with the new G2F release. I've also been really happy with the PC items the last few weeks since they're either Genesis items or props/shaders that can be used with anything. I'm glad to see that all the worry about seeing nothing but G2F stuff was for naught.

OK? I think it's pretty great. Skin on his face looks a bit shiny, but maybe he's beginning to perspire.

Hey thanks :) Going to try to tweak the procedural bump a little to break up the larger shiny bits, I'll post something later :)

Been looking at this for too long but I think this is with fifty percent less reflect

Yeah, I saw that figure and thought - "Hey, that's Ankh-sun-amun"! Pretty hot woman, heh.

Bones, zombies, war vixens, battle maidens. I think I'm good for a while! :vampire:

Yeah, I love turn based strategic combat (Like the original Fallout) and I've been a fan of ShadowRun since it came out. I mean magic and cyberpunk what's not to like.
