Vic is most certainly fond of VB

    Don't know about other states.

I 'unno what Misty meant about Firefox doing "sneak updates" since I've never had it pull anything like that once, ever since I started with version 2.0 way back when. =/

Yeah, it always asks me. And even when I click the button, if it warns me that something is incompatible, I can click on the back button in the dialog and click the remind me later button.

    Dana

Interesting... I've only had it ask me a few times in my entire history with it D:

I went with v4 up until 7 and 8 were out (Had to upgrade because of DeviantART deciding it hated my browser. Was also when I started using Opera for a while) and it only asked me about an upgrade once during that version.

    Only time I've ever been unhappy with FireFox was when I jumped to version 4 because it obsoleted the Foxkeh theme I had, which was so adorable. ^^;

Also: Drawing I did last night =3

did they make a new Riddick movie?

browsing utube, it's hard to tell if i'm seeing an old advert.

    Rosaleen!
the Company of Wolves movie? 1984.

-Jesus, what big teeth you have!

if they ko Loki in Thor2, it's going to ruin the Avengers movie for me, i won't be able to watch it.

I believe they started to make a new Riddick film, but I'm not sure if it was scrapped or not :S

Yeah - the antibiotic I'm on for my lower GI infection has a low, but possible, chance of interacting with alcohol and if I'm one of the sensitive ones I could end up in the E.R. suddenly. :bug: So, I'm not taking the chance!! No beer until the stuff flushes out.

Last pill Wednesday morning, then by Friday morning all out of my system so LOOK OUT NEXT FRIDAY NIGHT!!!! I'm going to get 12 bottles of the absolute best beer I can find and grab some spicy sausage and party my fins off! :ahhh:

Needless to say, next Saturday - home all day recovering... :red: :red:

Only 4GB more content to install. :blank:

The local mini-mart has over 50 different local and American microbrews - more than the nearby liquor store, AND it's open Sunday! :-) Nice for next weekend.

My fvae beer right now is Dogfish HEad IPA, followed by Real Ale Brewhuse Brown. Real Ale is brewed here in Texas, so I can drink local.

I just discovered I own a 3D divers outfit. :blank: I was going to use the helmet to put on a gorilla and do my own Robot Monster movie poster. Sigh. Many discoveries today.

At least laundry is done! :cheese:

OK - no more uninstalled content. Currently installed content:

    - 138GB
    - 410,277 files

    :ahhh: :ahhh: :ahhh:

Now to run Runtime Repair across it all to make sure everything is good, fixed, and stable. :blank:

I guess it's a good time to get some cheese slices and more paper towels, I'm almost out! :bug:

Back in an hour or so.. urgh.

    KK,

It sounds like either a cache or cookie issue. I'd try clearing both.

Also, try switching browsers to see if it's actually a FF issue. If you're seeing issues in IE as well then it may be something on your router or with your ISP.

As a note you should be able to be logged in to GMail on multiple machines with no issues. I check mine using Thunderbird on my main PC, the mail app on my phone and the browser on my tablet and all 3 can be connected at the same time. It might log you out on one machine if you login on the other from the same IP but even so it should still let you connect.

...OK ran CCleaner on the Notebook (also clears unwanted stuff from the registry. Restarted FF, signed back into Gmail clicked on the ebot to this thread again and the smilies were back. However, discovered I was also signed out of the forums so when I signed back into the forums *poof* they were gone again. So for this irritation, it has to be something in the Daz Forums site software that is not refreshing properly when I sign in and not my system as I can get smilies on other forums/sites.

You may be right, but don't count the smilies on other sites as evidence. I think the smilies on other sites are actually on the other sites.

I've been avoiding 22 because Norton Safe Web won't work with it. You could be on to something.

...that's odd, as it is working on mine (the XP notebook) I have the search field on the toolbar and I get all the little "Norton "OK", and "?" flags in Google. Id so see that the Norton Vulnerability Protection plugin id disabled as according to the Add On Manager it is incompatible with ver 22.

Just went to the Norton support site and learned that the the SEP browser IPS (which is tied to Norton Vulnerability Protection) is not compatible with the latest version of FF but should be fixed in the next update. Unfortunately, there is no real workaround.

Right now I just wish I could get the bloody smilies to show up when I'm signed in.

Still have no idea why I'm having issues not letting me sign into GMail or post a comment here on the Workstation.

Oh, I was mistaken, it's the vulnerability thing that isn't compatible. I really hate this. Why can't they work together to put security updates out at the same time? Surely they realize that they are not working in a vacuum separate from one another!

Is this Runtime Repair a program? How do you know it will work correctly with all the new fangled folder structures that keep showing up, especially with the DAZ3D software? It might actually break things.

...OK something really really stupid is going on now as the text to an entire post which I entered simply kept vanishing with nothing showing up either in the submitted post or the preview window.

It is getting late and THIS IS REALLY GETTING ME IRRITATED!

With the web console opened after clicking Submit Post on both systems I saw to different sets of instructions on the two machines.

I am unable to reproduce the actual code from the web console here, either by pasting or even manually typing it in using the "code" tags as for some reason doing so apparently conflicts with the forum software which kept resulting in the blank post. I would think "text is text" but it seems not the case in this instance so I have to try and explain it verbally (which I'm not really good at concerning this kind of stuff).

On the notebook where everything went fine the final instruction and the normal posting operation is carried through with the software assigning the value of "whitelisted" to the "status" variable

On the Workstation it inserts the statement "customer account index" for a variable "class' (which does not appear in the successful operation on the notebook) after which it then assigns the value of "whitelisted" to the "status" variable. From what I can tell, this is most likely the cause of the constant redirects. and failure of the forum software to post a response. I have no Idea what could be triggering this as again all my FF and add on settings match on both systems.

It's now 04:45 and I'm really frustrated and tired from all this. Will most likely end up sleeping half my day away tomorrow. I am at the end of my rope with this whole mess as I cannot find anything amiss with my feeble knowledge of this junk. I'm not a bloody IT specialist, I just use these stupid things however, it's beginning to seriously get in the way of what I'm trying to do here creatively.

Time to try and get some sleep provided I can unwind from all I've been dealing with tonight.

I wonder if DAZ3D's software is blocking multiple connections under the same account login. Try logging out on one machine, the one that posting and smilies are working, and log in on the other machine...and see if you can post. Then do the opposite. Then try logging in on both and see what happens.

    Dana\
...already tried that and nothing. Even when I am on the site on both I can still post comments on the notebook, even if I first signed in on the workstation. It has to be something in the connection from my workstation that their software is not recognising properly or that Cloduflare is screwing around with.

...then it has to be that blasted CoudFlare rubbish. What a pain in the bum it is I tell you. I wonder if it is what's buggering up my ability to post from the workstation as well as it usually was at fault for those types of misdirects.

    ...Sunday complaints.

...woke up late, after 12:00 after being up until 04:30 trying to troubleshoot FF/Daz/Gmail issues (to no avail)
...still tired and frustrated and half my day is already gone.
...CloudFlare. It has to be playing a major role in what is causing my woes with the forums here (even though I have a rock solid connection now).
...still no solution as to why I cannot sign onto Gmail from the workstation.
...getting behind in my CG work because of all this rubbish that is forcing me to be something I am not.

    Sunday Non complaints:

    ...nice day outside.
...nice week ahead looks like we may get through the month with 0.00" of water from the sky.
...had a good brunch (too late for brekkie)
...have a job interview this Thursday.

RRepair is updated every so often and mainly works with Poser, I don't run it on Daz-only stuff. Helps clean u p messy file references, spaces, etc. - does a good job so far.
