the new ones from a couple days ago. the thingee says new items are included, but seems not across stores.

The sci-fi city kits came out before the PA sale started so they are not included. I just added two Stonemason sets and the Vyla set to my cart and the discount is working properly.
Hmm, already in two days have skipped things I would have purchased otherwise. Oh well, maybe with the money I save here I will buy another ship for the hanger in Star Citizen! :-)

The vendor for the city sets isn't on the list. The only stores that are currently part of the current PA whatever-you-want-to-call-it are the ones on the list. The ones from yesterday and the ones from today.
The SciFi city sets may reach half off when the vendor's store goes on sale.

Sorry to hear that folks aren't happy with the sale. The extra 20% for some products makes for bigger savings than others. $3 or so in my case. But I think as more new products roll out it may be easier to find 3 things that you'll want to have. Depending on your personal interests you may not own or want anything I make, so lets not blame the sale if you are only looking to buy some new pumps. ; )
The sale was good for me today with respect of buying 5 items from your store!

The store has Stonemason listed twice now, with respect to one vendor's store having an incorrect name
Stonemason hacked the website so that no matter what PA you click on it goes to his store.
I have let DAZ know about the web site error.
It wasn't showing the real stonemason one, just the PA one with the stonemason name earlier.
I'd gladly notify daz, but I'm not sure what the correct process is. Work requests seem rather slow to notify them of an immediate site issue.

Do I have to purchase the new item and two older ones to get the 50 percent discount? or can it be three older items?

You can do it with all older items. I have three in my cart now that are all older and getting the 50%.

they are all by vendors who are part of the sale today. it does have to be by the day's featured vendors to work (or vendors overlapping from the day before).
I have one stonemason item and two antfarm items, none of which are new releases.

No, I was logged in and checked out, but I did not get a discount apart from the 30 percent off each item.
keep in mind, and i apologize if i'm repeating what others have said, that the 50% comes off the regular price. What shows in the cart as the "unit price" already has a 30% discount applied, and then the additional discount to bring the overall discount to 50% off regular price is what shows in the cart totals at the bottom
so for me i see this.
but actual original price for sci-fi consoles is 19.95, etc.
if i totaled their originals it would be ~$46.88
is that what is happening for you, or something else altogether?
That's pretty much what I got.
Ok. That is correct behavior for the sale. It would be simpler if the cart showed totals of original prices, but it shows totals of sale prices and then the Discounts summary at the bottom just shows the amount of additional discount needed to get it to what 50% would be. It's confusing. But if you add up what the original non-sale prices of your items are from their store pages and not the cart, and compare with the total the cart wants you to pay it should come out right.

My apologies, just wanted to make sure I was being clear.
Unfortunately, not all of us have the money to buy everything we want. In EVERY OTHER year before this, we could just buy the pumps and get 50% off. Now, we get no pumps, Daz and the PAs get no money.
So we SHOULD blame the sale.
