sounds good, this will be an insta buy
Haven't heard from Paul today so I guess we'll have to see how this week goes.
I somehow completely missed this thread! Though I tend to prefer my males in RL and in 3D to be hairless there are some regions that definitely need some hair.
You have a future buyer here :)
I received the upload info from DAZ3D last night and REAL Hairy is in their hands now. Only a matter of time.
Man, that's awesome news Mikey!
Looks really, really good! :)
Instant buy!
They're testing it now. Hope it passes. I wonder how long it takes to release after testing.
You probably have a few weeks after it passes so it gets on the release schedule.

So we won't be seeing it in the store tomorrow? hehehe.
hope this doesn't come out the wrong way, but it would be nice if it's a June release date, or late May, it is definitely a must buy
Hell, I'm hoping for the end of the week....hehehe
Hard to know what DAZ will do with something like this. If there is a new male figure coming out they may contact you and ask for you to make specific fits for it and release your stuff with the new male figure (Genesis 02 Male shape is what I mean).... or maybe not! lol
Oh Gawd I can't even think about a new male figure right now. When I attempt to convert RH to M4, we'll see how hard the process will be. It shouldn't require more than some slight scaling and positioning.

Converting to M4 is going to be a lot of work with the multiple fits, morphs, jcms, etc. You'll probably find out quickly why there's no hair products for the guys except when a body suit is used. If you decide not to do it, you wouldn't be blamed for stopping. Make sure you charge appropriately for the extra effort and the lower sales pool so you recoup your effort.
Well Jepe's bodysuit idea was really great for the Gen 3 and 4 but the one kavetch was there were no feet or hands built into the bodysuit so no hairy hands or feet options. That bothered me allot since most really hairy guys have some pretty amazing hand and feet fur!
Everything I've done so far requires heavy use of the Transfer Utility, so since M4 doesn't work with the utility, he probably won't be an option.
Just a peek at what RH is capable of.
licks lips!
You use this work flow to rig to M4, it's not as easy as the couple clicks for the transfer utility but it's not terrible

I hear that. Can't wait to see the renders from people who actually have talent.

Thanks Fisty. I'll give it a try this weekend.

I know right!
I've used the body suit solution only for Gen3 figures, David and Freak actually, for Gen4 I've used the second skin morph, that's something completely different. Project M4 Hairy is also easy usable on Genesis with the Geometry Shell and M4 UV in DS. Only G2M doesn't have a solution yet because it requires .duf format.
To be really honest, the chest shots above don't fully convince me, but that's only me, everybody knows that I'm especially picky when it comes to body hair. A few weeks ago a gave Garibaldi Plugin a chance and got instant and astonishing good looking results. But right now I don't have anything in that direction on my desk, and I'm glad Mickey provides a very fine solution in the meanwhile.
I really wish I liked Garibaldi but I'm more partial to LAMH but I'm sure your work in the big G is superb. I know, Jepe, if you ever dipped your cute little feet into the G2M fur area as an add on I bet it would sell like hot cakes. You still have ALLOT fans here babe!
Now imagine Jepe's hair with RH on top of it. That would make for some pretty sick renders.
I don't think that I will have a chance to try that out because my main render application is Poser. :(
Well that brings to mind will your set offer Poser specific files for those that use Genesis 2 M in Poser?
Not unless the guys at DAZ3D know how to create them. Otherwise it's a no. I haven't touched Poser in years so I wouldn't even know where to start. It's a bit too late at this point.
Hmm, it's pretty easy actually. I'm off to the gym now but you might ask DAZ if they would be willing to make them for you. It's just a simple export from DAZ Studio...
It's very simple in theory, getting it good enough to include in the for-sale product is a bit trickier. Main thing I would see being an issue with this type of product is bulge maps. Currently DS only puts in the ones it needs based upon Gene's rigging. >But< if there is say a X Bulge Left and DS doesn't think it needs a X Bulge Right when Poser gets ahold of it it will just ignore the Left because it doesn't have a Right counterpart. So you run the easy transfer utility on the item, I assume almost no adjustment needed for something as skin tight a this.. then you have to go in bone by bone and check to make sure it has matching pairs of bugle maps and add blank ones to the ones that don't.. then save the figure, then export the dson companion files, then go in to poser and make good material files 'cause the auto generated one suck really really bad.
