Exactly. I hope to see many, many equally cuddly renders when it's finally released.

I want to be honest, for me personally all and everything depends on the growing direction of the hair - if it doesn't follow the natural human growing pattern, I won't use it.

From what it looks like, it does so far.

It doesn't need much to convince me, but it must be convincing! :D

Well, in my humble opinion mans body hair is different on each and every one of us though. I've seen guys with patterned looking hair and others with wild and wooly hair and everything in between!

The pits, arms, and tummy convince me :)

That's absolutely and totally right, Richard. But it always follows a growing direction and that is mainly the same. When you look on your right lower arm and hand, the hair grows from left to right, not the opposite direction. As the head hair never grows in the direction from ear to crest. You know that as a hairdresser. ;)

True. My comment was more for the torso (front and back) rather than the arms and your absolutely right, it's got a path that it follows rather than being scattered willy nilly.

The torso too has paths/directions the hair follows, but that would be a bit more complicated to describe although not uninteresting! ;)

I'm most excited by the underarm hair.

I agree with Jepe. I've used several reference photos as well as real men for most of the hair patterns. Some areas, such as forearms are so different from person to person that not everyone will agree on its accuracy. There are a few areas I would like to tailor before the release...arms being one of them. In the meantime, here's the back.

The back looks pretty nice! Although I personally don't like my RL dudes with it hehehe

I'd hate to see this project pushed back further due to the concerns about the hair flow.
After all, this product http://www.daz3d.com/unshaven-bundle-for-genesis is used quite heavily in male renders.

I dunno about you - but my forearm and leg hair def does not flow like that.
And I have yet to meet another dude with that flow. Just saying...

I'm not a big fan of fibermesh in any of its forms, whether its body or head hair. It has an unnatural wire feel to it. Unshaven's growth patterns are a bit odd, but once again it's all in the eyes of the creator. Catharina Harders (MEC4D) has some sick talent, especially where her male skin textures are concerned.

My original arm hair used to run in a straight line from elbow to hand with no deviations. The image below shows how useful everyone's suggestions can be if you take the time to listen.

I'm looking forward to this, Mike. Be aware of that DAZ judges a product by the promo images only, the better the promo images the better the chance to get it accepted. :)

I would hope the images I sent, including the one above, would be considered high enough quality for their consideration...especially after letting it render for 48 hours. I'll cross my fingers.

Good luck MikeyFTL, I am sure if Daz just looks through this thread and see the pictures you have posted already, then read all the comments from the crowd of us that are wanting to purchase this item.... then hopefully we should be seeing it in the store by tomorrow at the latest ! ;-P

Wishing you every success, and lots of sales.

    Kind regards. :-)

I submitted the first images to the folks at DAZ3D last week. They replied immediately and told me they really liked it and sent me some forms to fill out. I sent the forms back and they were supposed to send me the FTP info so I could start uploading the product, but I haven't heard from them since Friday. Maybe today they'll send. Everything is done, tested and ready to go.
