No reason why M4 can't be included down the road. Just have to figure out how to conform to M4. The Transfer Utility doesn't seem to support it.

I believe only triax figures work with the transfer utility. You would have to use the figure setup tools to rig the hair, then make the appropriate fits for the various body shapes.

It selects the facet size of the actual mesh, so if the mesh is dense, it will select smaller blocks, or triangles. set display in wireframe to see how it works.

Thanks :D I can see so many uses for this nifty little tool :D A specific strand of hair kinked, with an otherwise good pose, can now be 'erased'. :D

I know it's a bother :( But so many of us still do not use genesis ...

It's not a bother. M4 is a huge demographic. No reason why he can't get furry like the rest of them.

But you won't see your return in investment for the effort you'll expend for it to work properly. This is why you don't see to many beard or body hair items that aren't an overlay. Of course it's up to you, but you should set your expectations accordingly.

Gen2Male will certainly take priority for now.

Lol ... He's not dead ... but has certainly been receiving less attention than V4. But if he were truly dead, vendors other tan daz would not still be creating products for him. Money talks.

Since what I do HAS to look remotely believable, I still prefer the generation 4 figures over any of the genesis lines, even with all of the needed morph tweaking. The textures are getting better, but the figure still looks like the hands and joins are prosthetics ... too rubber-like. And no matter what, they all look like cousins or siblings, male / female alike. I know it's not a popular sentiment, but it's what my eye sees.

Anyway, I KNOW it's an added bother for throwback products to some people. But if one doesn't ask, one doesn't get. :D

Yes it does. Basically you click on Icon, choose piece of geometry you wish to edt (clothing, hair or figure), right click on geometry and go polygons selection and choose preffered method of selection. Then after you selected what you want hidden (selected bits are highlighted as yellow) go to polygon visibility and choose hide selected.

Well would you look at that. It works. No poke throughs. Wish I knew about this ages ago.

Me too :D I wonder how it does on dynamics, when one part of the garment drapes through another part?

Depends on where he wants to sell the body hair. There are some other sites that M4 content still sells, as much as any male content sells.

I am definitely interested in this, though I primarily use Genesis1 and Gen 3&4 models. Recently developed an interest in V2 and M2 since they come with so many morphs and I was smart enough to grab them when they were free, along with all the other models so long ago, and have them in my account.

I would suggest investing in Generation X and giving Genesis a try, especially if you are a DazStudio user. If you also get the legacy shapes for Genesis and the backwards compatible conversions for the G2M & G2F shapes, Genesis becomes as massive powerhouse when it comes to shapes and skin textures.

As an example: I can take Predatron's David 3 Alien shapes, mix them with V4 shapes, cloth it with M4 duds and apply an M6 texture.

Add me to the interested list. And as a guy with chest hair, I would tell you that poke-through really does happen, especially in the pectoral area. But you just yank that one hair out and move on, or you adjust your shirt.

LOL. I know what you mean. I always have a few poking through my shirt. But that level of "realism" is considered an error in the 3D world...especially when 1000 of them are punching through.

Actually I've heard from one vendor that he may be going back to M4 to create content. A lot of the (admittedly sparse in relation to V4) male content on Rendo is for M4, although there are a handful of G2M ones over there now. I suppose it also depends on whether people can afford to update their pcs/ laptops to cope with the extra power daz now needs, especially when using Genesis. Some Poser users are still using M4 as well because they think using Genesis in Poser is too much hassle (I personally haven't had a problem).

New and improved. I've started to break down everything into sections.

    Current sections include:

    - Vneck
    - Pecs
    - Nipples
    - Abs
    - Belly
    - Happy Trail
    - Pubes (not shown)

    Arms and legs are next.

I was wondering if a curly version was feasible... something similar to this:

Yes. I was planning on doing some hair for black men as well, which is similar to the hair in your pic. I wouldn't want to discriminate.
