Forearm hair and knuckles. Knuckles are separate and can be turned off.

That looks a bit strongly directional up and down the arm. Most men's arm hair is a bit more side to side than up and down, if that makes any sense. It looks like the underlying texture may have arm hair photographed on it as well, which might be fighting with the hair itself and confusing the issue.

I agree. Direction should be brushed closer to the skin. I should find a hairless texture to test with.

I was wondering if a curly version was feasible... something similar to this:

Yes. I was planning on doing some hair for black men as well, which is similar to the hair in your pic. I wouldn't want to discriminate.

Thank you, this is great news!

Model is M6 HD, Bjorn (textures only) and a touch of Swole 6. No other morphs were used.

I'm in! And I love that there are no plugins required. I need to render a dude with hair, not troubleshoot software until I want to claw my eyes out and throw them at the wall as hard as I can. Okay, that was a little melodramatic. But I really like what you have going on here!

I was dabbling with facial hair and found it to be unresponsive when changing facial expressions (ie smiles frowns sneers)...which doesn't work for my purposes. I think textures are the way to go for beards and mustaches. At least you know they will conform. I am playing with the idea of adding a light stubble on top of beard textures so facial hair doesn't look so flat and spec'd out. Adding a light with soft shadows would bring out detail even more.

If it's conforming it SHOULD move along with the mouth and facial movements. Makes no sense. To make sure that you have enough coverage in making sure there is no great distortion you will need to apply each basic facial [removed]I think the default ones that come with Genesis 02 Male and M6 SHOULD be enough) export that to your modeling program, fix or smooth the areas that need the attention and import it out and bring it in as a fix morph. I know there are ways to make partial morphs that auto follow when the end user moves certain dials but I never investigated that too much back when I asked about it as I got busy with my own projects) but back on the subject the facial hair SHOULD follow if it's conformed...

It doesn't..auto following is turned off by default. You have to manually save it with autofollow expressions on...It's a real PITA..

No worries. I'll just concentrate on what everyone is really interested in.

Shoulders, triceps, upper back, middle back, lower back and buttocks are all separate sections that can be turned on and off.

They are static objects. There will be icons for 3 lengths and thicknesses...so that will be the extent of the control you have over the density. There won't be any dials or morphs. Manscaping will have to be controlled via the Polygon Group Editor Tool.

Yes, sign me up. The images you reuploaded are great though. This is the kind of fur I like on a man. Makes me sad that so many fall under the spell of "I'm a freak" or "Gotta listen to my wife or partner and get rid of it" ..... So looking forward to your release. You gonna sell here? What price are you thinking of?

LOL. I never shaved my fur for anyone. I did it once on my own and I wanted to die from the itching...plus I looked like a pasty little boy. Yuck!

I don't see why it should cost more than $10. I've never sold anything on DAZ3D, so I'm hoping it's not a painful process. There's also the possibility that they may take issue with file sizes. The full body suit of hair exceeds 160MB at the moment, so anyone with an old computer will probably limp along when loading/saving models with this product. Then again, you really need a decent PC to run DAZ3D these days. Thankfully, the hair doesn't slow down the rendering process.

There are obviously other avenues (which I won't mention by name) if DAZ3D doesn't approve. Worst case scenario, I can sell it independently through Paypal (ugh). So keep your fingers crossed. I have to weed out some graphical glitches and make an attractive distribution package for release, so I'm hoping to have a finished product in a few weeks.

But some people do like fur - as I have discovered with mine!

I will buy it no matter where you sell it.

If you want to link to the images you will need to require registration to see them (for the ones with nudity, the others don't require a filter of course). Using deviantArt with the mature content filter set is also OK.

Yea, as Richard H mentions, DeviantArt is a good one and quite popular with many artists here!

I agree with your assessment on how this is going to go over for many weight wise. Your correct anyone running DAZ Studio or Poser these days? HEH, if they are running just those programs alone they need a good system not to mention the content. As light in poly's as DAZ tries to make their figures once you figure in sets, clothing, hair and other stuff a scene can be quite heavy so loading up Genesis, your fur pack and a pose stand with some nice lighting will not be all the intensive.

$10.00 is pretty much on the affordable end. Keep in mind who ever you sell through will take a big slice of that out so you really need to figure in that cost too. I'm sure you will sell ALLOT of copies esp how thoroughly you created your coverage of the body. :-)

Will the tops of the feet and the big toes have hair too?

The tops of the feet do have hair, but I should probably add some more since it's almost unnoticeable. I forgot to do the toes, so I will add those as well. Good catch.

Actually $10 is on the low end. You do have to make it worth your investment; especially since you do have the broker fees that take half of that... and account that your store **will** be on sale... so you don't want to pocket $1 or $2 per item after it's all said and done.. because that's what you'll get priced like that. If it's good quality, you should have no problems selling it, but just don't give it away. I would look to see the pricing of similar items and price it accordingly.
