I successfully created morphs for length, thickness and clumping...so the total package is looking more and more user friendly. But I certainly have my work cut out for me now.

So what do all of you think is a reasonable price? Be realistic. I'm not out to gouge everyone.

I was going to log in and post a price that seems fair but then I got a notice from CG Cookie that there was an issue with my subscription and got side tracked to getting that resolved. Turned out to be a server glitch and all is well! lol

So... for as much work as you are doing here, your cut, the intro price and what ever else...

On sale for perhaps a week at half off ... $15.00, Full price, $30.00. I'd pay that no problem. There are SO many skins out there, even older ones that work with Genesis 02 Male from M4 and Genesis 01 that are basically hairless but still very useable except for that missing goodness. So it would be a well loved and used product I would think.

I dont know what a good price would be. This could be used for comparison on picking a price.

I'd say somewhere between $20-30 would be reasonable. I'd pay $30 myself haha.

$30 seems reasonable. Manfuzz (sold elsewhere) and Unshaven are the only comparable products, and they're both priced at approximately the $30 level. Especially with a 30-50% introductory sale (depending on how and when and all that), that seems fair.

    Hi MikeyFTL,

Great product in the making, I would certainly buy this from the examples you have shown already, and the prices being proposed. The hair looks very realistic and convincing.

Nearly all my works of art are male characters, and for me, underarm hair is essential, and so often ignored. I would love to see some example renders of underarm hair using your hair method.

Many thanks in advance, and so looking forward to seeing this product in store. :-)

I think $30 is a reasonable price. if it came with more options than what is currently on the market, I think I would be comfortable in paying a little bit more. :D

I forgot all about that. Underarm hair is a definite.

I love when the underarm furn blends in a bit with the chest hair and sometimes rolls into the back hair..... Yea, I'm a fur freak, what can I say! You should see me at SF Pride. I about have fainting spells when the menz are all out showing off their bods....

Ha ha, sounds like fun RAMWolff, but personally I do not like to see "overly" hairy men, but as I have stated in an earlier post, having hair of some moderate degree in all the right places is essential for my male characters. This obsession with shaving body hair, something that only women did, has now come into the male domain, being called the "smooth look" and is very worrying. For me, body hair is the epitome of masculinity. Having said that, this product looks to be giving good variables of body hair options, so will definitely be going into my runtime when available.

    Cheers. :-)

Adam T. at (a site best known for his many freebies) has a low-cost body-hair set for M4 and V4: chest, pube, and pits for Mike, same sans chest-hair for Vicki. I think I paid $5 for the bundle at half-off. Of course with more options, more coverage (back and limbs) and a more current figure, I wouldn't say go that low. But if the regular market says $30, undercut it at $25, or $19.99.

Nice morphs, by the way. Is there one to do (for lack of a better phrase) "bikini-top" coverage? Less up the middle, more around (though not on) the nipples and the lower pecs, with the densest parts on the lower surface of the pectorals, maybe rising to the armpit hair?

$30 is a good price before discounts, and based on what his does, there's absolutely no reason to undercut, especially when this site has more visibility.

What is the polycount of the hairs in total if you load all on?

I think $19.99 is a happy median. I'm flattered that many of you are willing to spend $30, but I think that's a bit excessive and may deter the more budget conscious users. I know this because I'm broke. Hehehe.

I was afraid someone was going to ask that question. Currently the full body is around 1.7 million polygons with a filesize of 197MB. If it weren't for the ability to generate flat hairs, something this big would cripple most machines. But with flat hairs, render times are hardly affected. I'm sure lights with shadows will slow things down a bit, but they usually do anyway.

Yes, that is the only downside of doing hair this way:( If you want to retain all that fine detail, the polycount has to go up..

What you can do with the pricing is just put it on sale for like 6 weeks at $19.95, DAZ will get half, so you'll get $10.00 or thereabouts per sale. After 6 weeks let it wonder up to $30.00 because at this point folks will be on to the next big thing (that's how it's always been in this industry ....*SQUIRREL* (LOL) and then you'll have a product that will continue to sell more slowly but probably continually.

Full body set with 25% extra thickness. Thighs need more hair added...but it's just about there.

Hey...you may need this if you keep showing off those pits like that...

    But this is looking good.

I wonder if you can get around the polycount by instancing?
