The thing about the Genesis and Gen 2 figures is that they're not primarily about being characters on their own, they're about modifying the Genesis mesh and rigging rigging in such a way as to form a better base for other characters to be built on.

The fixed weight map and lack of JCM use, seem to give many characters a generic V6 physique.

I suppose its not bad look, but it puts me off buying new characters.

Still, Giselle - by the mere sound of it to me, this is more than subjective - evokes an image of something fragile, a bit fussy and snobbish, possibly with a sweet scent of perfume overdose, pink frills and short tutu dresses. Or, taking the elder way, a grandma and/or retired diva as I mentioned above. I don't think she will be SF. This genre doesn't really need a figure shape on its own, every SF race requires mix-and-matching, which is well taken care of in Creature Creator by Sickleyield and Fuseling. Then there are Martians for both Gen2F and Gen2M if I recall correctly, whereas humans are humans and while you probably have to customise their clothes, accessories (like DarioFish's "Almost Human") and maybe haircuts, changing the morphs doesn't sound as something compulsory. See how many SF stuff was made for V6. That's quite surprising, actually, that several futuristic vehicles are driven by V6 instead of M6, even though he's available.

I wasn't trying to imply that Giselle was going to be a SF. Gia already seems to cover the "Fantasy Warrior Princess" title for this generation. What I said was that up until now we've never had an official female character for the main Fantasy/Sci-Fi genre. SF and CC don't count because CC is just an updated series of the same monsters and SF is always a Victoria character. Even Gia is categorized as a Real World shape.

I think Giselle will be more "Fairy Ballerina" as everyone else suggests, because that's the first impression I instantly got from her the second I got word of her. As for the idea of her being an elder character, I wouldn't hold my breath. I think Zev0's products filled the age niches for this run.

I predict.... The figure will be female, young and good looking with skimpy clothing. Any takers? =-)

I really could use a sci-fi alien with skins, but I'm not holding my breath.

Not at all, my pleasure. I wonder if this set will support Giselle's morph(s)... Still, it is very strange Aiko 6 and Hiro 6 are not already there.

    Oh, right!

Roll and Ball, out today, would probably also work as a ballet costume, without the vest and with different shoes.

Yeah, I'm not too hot on the fetish-style design with the dance shoes, myself...

    This seems fairly authentic:

    http://www.daz3d.com/degas-ballerina-for-victoria-4

It's for V4, but might convert ok.

Littlefox also has a nice series for V4:

    http://www.runtimedna.com/The-Art-of-Dance-Ballet-V4-Performance-Fluffy-Tutu.html
    http://www.runtimedna.com/The-Art-of-Dance-Ballet-V4-Practice-Bundle-2.html
    http://www.runtimedna.com/Nutcracker-Suite-Volume-1.html

    or this:

    http://www.runtimedna.com/VI-Circus-Jester.html

Since all of these skirts stand apart from the body, converting them might not mess up the rigging too much. It would be best to use Transfer Utility, rather than autofit, to try to keep the original rigging intact. They would probably work pretty well on Genesis shapes that are reasonably close to the V4 shape, which would still give you the flexibility to alter the head/face and use new character textures.

Speaking of which. This is Littlefox's old A3 ballet outfit with the skirt parented rather than autofitted. The shoes are the V4 Art of Dance shoes autofit. Yes, autofit. I was amazed. The character is a GenX-ed A3 variant.

From the costume, I'd expect her to be portraying Gisele.

The outfit was in the Deep Freeze collection (along with a slew of textures) last I looked. The sale for that collection goes to the end of this week iirc.

Thank you. The "Fiends Forever" promo made me overlook this. I don't do toons. At least at this point. Have to remember to look closer at items that don't seem to fit my needs. Back when I was writing, I had a secret agent character who was a ballerina. Might resurrect her in GCI.

IMO there's one more female character to be staffed, and that's the lean tomboyish heroine character. A Lara Croft/Aeon Flux kind of lady. Someone who doesn't look skimpy in straps and leather but more a killer machine. Someone who can really live up to wearing this http://www.daz3d.com/novariens-holy-for-v4

Usually I find that the right combinations of Victoria, Stephanie and Aiko works well enough for me. Though, nowadays when I want that smooth, slender female, I always find myself using a fair amount of Hitomi and Satsuki with my female shapes on Genesis, with much better results.

Ladies and gentlemen... we may have seen Giselle.

This one, although not titled, looks quite remarkably and I admit she does not look like any Gen2F morph I've seen before. What's your opinion?

Hmmm, looks a bit like Girl 6 to me.

Giselle, or 48% of her anyway, can be seen in some of the pics here:

I agree about the Girl 6, if not then this new morph brings nothing new, and to be honest from you see in the link you posted I'm really struggling to see what she will have that Josie and the girl and the rest don't already provide.

    Perhaps?

Frankly, I don't know if this is really even a scent of Giselle, she just looked distinctively.

Well, from looking around the wiki, I feel like she is probably going to be a fantasy type morph, seeing as there are quite a few unreleased "fae" items, and as someone pointed out earlier there was a placeholder for Fallen Fae poses for Giselle. This is something I would certainly welcome in my runtime. I also stumbled upon something for a certain anime girl >.>

Funny enough the item that was there is no longer listed. Was probably listed too early mayhaps or may be renamed to something else. Giselle is obviously the next figure we're getting, and I would HOPE that after her another male figure will come. I'd say we still have a few more months till an AIko 6.

Could be Giselle's shape but I don't think it's her texture. We had a similar conversation about the promos of a Neftis3D product prior to Girl 6's release, as I recall. I'm going to reserve judgement until we find out exactly what she will look like.

I would think that showing a non-released character in promos would seriously violate the non-disclosure agreement the PA makes when getting the figure. I am therefore fairly certain this is not Giselle. Giselle will probably be out in 2-3 weeks. Maybe not.

Not at all. Plenty times have we seen DAZ characters snuck into promo images before their release. DAZ themselves even do it every once in a while just to tease the hell out of us! :)

Yeah, I see what you mean. There is a V4 Giselle, which seems to have changed vendors.
