called sputinos to order a pepperoni pizza, my voice came out a squeak. i hope they heard the pepperoni part. allergy misery. woes.

i hear thunder rumbles oft times, but don't see lightning. may the lightning stays up in the clouds?

...looked at part of it, really seems more complicated than it's worth, particularly since I am on such an extremely tight budget and even an 18$ purchase is a lot of money right now just to use a 6$ coupie.

and don't really render as much as i used to, i try, but energy is low. would help if i could read the print in the tabs lol seasick

I managed to find a shader that works in 'fixing' the neon green, but it's not going to match my previous images. And if it's doing this for Reld, I bet it's going to happen to my big wyrm, as I did the exact same trick for him. /facepalm

Try looking at all of the shader's settings. Are any of them green? The subsurface setting, the specular setting? One of them has to be green.
It can't just happen, because "it's not easy being green".

I don't understand why it happened but I found the culprit to be the very grey scale image I was using for the spines. I found a similar style grey scale image and that fixed the issue and only slightly changed the color. I got sick this afternoon, so I haven't had a chance to mess with the big guy but he's most likely going to have to have the same fix, since I used that same image for his spines.

...dealing with two mid-day suns in the scene I am currently rendering. Had to pull everything in a bit closer together after which the refraction of the water was messed up by the reflection again.

Seems I have to always end up trying something new each time.

my fault for not reading the fine print.

edit: I bought the dancing pole and poses but not an item from a select published artist at the same time.

on the topic of sexy, I went to Renderosity to look for um, lingerie. I found some garter belts for $5.00. Only downside is that the garter belts don't come with stockings or matching underwear. The stockings and underwear cost an extra $5.00 each. So the total for the whole outfit and extra textures will be $15.00. And I saw more addons for $5.00 - $10.00. The costs adds up.

main problem I have with underwear/swimsuits (and ESPECIALLY garter belts) is the straps - they follow the form instead of stretching between points - extremely irritating! real clothing of both types has elastic and will stretch (so you don't even have to worry about texture distortion - the real does the same thing) - or at least span the areas. Instead it seems all 'hugs' the skin like it was glued (also a common problem on the breasts of many outfits/shirts).

different parts of the outfit should be constructed of different meshes with the appropriate settings for each! (even if they are then grouped as one figure)...

Outside my window is a bird going WICKETA WHEE. He's been doing it every five seconds for the last three hours, and I'm ready to strangle him. Or just yell out the window "SOMEONE MATE WITH HIM PLEASE SO HE'LL SHUT UP!"

I got out my little cheap binoculars to try and get a look at the noisy little twerp, but all I can tell at this distance is that he is brown on top with a lighter belly and some brown/black/white pattern on his wings. Oh good, that narrows it down to only about 70% of the passerines. So identifying him for my life list is out too. Stupid bird.

A very, VERY appropriate link for this topic!!

(from 'Sequential Art' - a webcomic I have been following for a looonnnggg time now - extremely good, I highly recommend it)

hmm... yes, but only *extremely* rarely

I usually have the urge to grab the hair (and ears) of the *source* of that feeling and pull it out while screaming as loudly as I can; MUCH more satisfying!

    Stress: /stress/ noun
    1. pressure or tension exerted on a material object.
"the distribution of stress is uniform across the bar"
    synonyms: pressure, tension, strain

    2. a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or very demanding circumstances.
"he's obviously under a lot of stress"
synonyms: strain, pressure, (nervous) tension, worry, anxiety, trouble, difficulty

    3. the self-inflicted physical and psychological trauma from attempting to resist the strong or near-overwhelming urge to choke someone who has gone out of their way to deserve it.
"Bill certainly causes Dana a great deal of stress"
synonyms: self-control, proper behavior, respect for management

    ...yes, like today.

Packaging engineers must be a sick & twisted lot. Picked up one of those 'payas you go" phones and card. The phone, charger, battery, & such are encased in one of those sealed hard plastic blister packs that look like they are supposed to simply pop open but really don't. Spent about 30 min trying to figure out how to open it without either slicing my hands up or damaging the contents, but to no avail. They make this stuff so "tamper and theft proof" these days that it is impossible to open for anyone, even the customer who pays for the product contained within.

It's like those "child resistant" pill bottles. A 5 year old can open them but for us older folks (especially if you have arthritis) forget it,

"Fetch me a child of 5, I need to take my meds again."

    auuugggh!~ I completely agree!!!

anyone who thinks we can't *actually* make super body-armor for soldiers that is both cheap and lightweight has never tried to open a blister/clam pak in the last decade!! add 3 or 4 in layers with something in between and you would be dang near "Iron Man" levels of protection and under 10 lbs total weight!!!

hmm... probably should add "team player" to the synonym list for #3!

No, because when I'm stressed about bills, some of them make me want to strangle someone. Especially someone at the credit card company!

I'm at that point with my website hosting company, too! Still no SSL certificate installed! I'm almost ready to try wringing the phone (like in the old cartoons, when doing that would wring the neck of the person on the other end)!

ahh! ok, yeah I understand totally... we live in the days of 'customer abuse' instead of 'customer service' in all too many cases.

which really, REALLY irks me (and puts me into definition 3) when some ignorant, quasi-educated doofus starts ranting against the evils of 'capitalism' - yet pointing out the things that are going on in the modern world. We haven't had capitalism in over 30 years anywhere in the world (except possibly AU/NZ though I don't think their economic model is actually capitalistic anymore). For example; *NONE* of the components that drive the economic force of 'enlightened self-interest' exist anymore - which is why companies world-wide have moved to a model with only a vague, disinterested hand-waving in the direction of 'customer service' (as well as a host of other problems). And that is only one of the forces necessary for a system to qualify as capitalistic!

... basically like complaining about the current woes of living in and then declaring, "And that is what is wrong with the Ottoman Empire!"

you know... if we were able to somehow *invent* a phone /device that would allow you to throttle the person on the other end - you know it would sell!! not like law enforcement would have any problem tracking down any resulting murders with modern caller id. And people (the survivors at least) would rediscover being polite!

One would hope they'd rediscover it. But you forget about call ID blocking. I wonder if wringing the phone would work on a caller who's blocked his ID. :)

I find that a well-timed blast from a small air-horn into the phone works well at dealing out pain without actually having to kill anyone. Very satisfying.

Now that's an idea! Unfortunately, a lot of the junk calls I get are automated...you can't even yell at them because they just keep talking. Sometimes even hanging up doesn't help, the damn thing keeps going and hangs on to the signal somehow. >:-(

    very much so!

... though the shoulders seem 'over-developed' for such small arms. If the arms have gone through that much 'evolutionary atrophy', the shoulders should have followed suit and be narrower and less powerfully built. To me, at least ;)
