Worked a bit more on my sculpt, mostly just fixed/adjusted a few parts.
Neck is still a bit short, but one step at a time! :)

Hey looks great and starting to get some detail :)

    very much so!

... though the shoulders seem 'over-developed' for such small arms. If the arms have gone through that much 'evolutionary atrophy', the shoulders should have followed suit and be narrower and less powerfully built. To me, at least ;)

Tyrannosaurus arms were actually very powerful and fairly well built. Perhaps you're thinking of Abelisaurus? :)

In any case, it's not intended to be 100% accurate anyway (The hip area is already fairly off course) and will probably end up being a tad stylized ^^

That's cool - was just an observation.

and yes, TRex had extremely powerful arms, but then again at its size and general strength, they were still small in proportion, which did make for smaller shoulders - as to do with the muscle attachments.

I actually like the shorter neck - implies a lot more power (bite strength, torque, etc.) rather than reach...

I'm more or less winging it as I'm sculpting, which will probably mean running into technical issues later, I've already made a bit of a mistake by deleting the lower subdivision levels which is going to make re-shaping parts of the body a bit more difficult.

The arms might be a bit too 'big', I'll have to talk with a few of my friends about that (They're very knowledgable about dinosaurs and know a great deal about popular and common mistakes made when drawing or sculpting them)
Again, accuracy isn't exactly what I'm going for here, and it wasn't really intended to be a T.rex from the beginning - instead just a generic theropod dinosaur critter, but I was using my Papo Tyrannosaurus as a reference shortly after starting, so I thought "Eh, why not."

The only major deviation I made was dropping the "Wrists pointing down" mistake the Papo model has, which in the process ended up making the arms likely a bit lengthier and bulkier than they should be. I've shaped and reshaped and re-toned a lot of the body - especially the arms, head, and thighs. The arms were actually a bit broader than this in an earlier version heh.

As for the neck, I think it's just about at a more or less proper neck length here. Maybe a touch longer, or a touch shorter, but for what I'm doing it's just about right. If I was doing this for some illusration that demanded these accuracies, I'd have to redo it and I definitely wouldn't just be using a model on my desk for reference

Heh, anyway. It's been a lot of fun working on it though~

It's some silly/cute avatar DeviantART has. You can gift people "llamas" and that increases this count, and after certain amounts of llamas received you can get little accessories for yours - or you can buy additional ones (Like sunglasses and etc)

I don't really see the point in it, but a lot of people seem to like them so...

I guess it's DA's way of trying to be more of a "social" site. (and make a little money?) :)

Your temperatures are pretty steady. Ours are often all over the place. It's been good this past week, though.

That doesn't sound like fun. It never is. Unless the icy wind is because I'm on top of Mt. Washington. But that doesn't happen often. I've never been up there in the winter. You can't go to the top in the winter...well, not on their coaches. They have tracks that they attach to some of the vans for going up there in the winter, but they only bring the public a little more than half way up, just over the tree line I think. Still, it must be an incredible view!

    I got way off topic, didn't I?
