...at the college in Olympia WA I attended off and on, someone in the CS department had a sense of humour in whereby if you swore at the computer, it swore back at you.
Ah yes Oregon Trail the RL "Kobyashi Maru no win scenario". Though when I was introduced to Halo, that also qualified as I never got more than 30m or so away from the drop ship after it landed before my character was "dropped". Didn't see much fun in that.
I used to play the old maze games like D" (a dungeon crawl on the college mainframe), "Trek" (battling invading Klingons on the college mainframe), Castle Wolfenstein, the various text based games, Star Raiders (only on Artari) along with the early versions of Doom, Duke Nukem, and Civ. The coolest game to this day was one called M.U.L.E.on the Atari 800 which was a multi player game in which you had to take care not to totally thrash on your opponents or the colony would fail and everyone would lose.
Definitely not interested in the current crop of 1st person shooter/stabber/spellslinger stuff out there these days and don't have the horsepower or high speed connection to support the new MS Flight Sim.(nor the proper control interface).

You can copy and paste quotes, say from another tab, I think. At least, I've done it in the past.

Ugh amazon is balls. Select free shipping, it get sent off in like an hour from ordering. Pay for the fastest shipping, and suddenly it takes days to leave the warehouse :/

Another thing they do (I don't know if you have it in your area) but seledt a dedicated Amazon delivery day. Great idea especially during lockdowns. Supposed to work that you can add things and they all get delivered on your dedicated day. Can plan round knowing Amazon will come on Tuesday (suits me) except when they arrive on Sunday or Monday.
Right, I did that one time. Never again. Ship in separate packages. And if something is coming from overseas, I find an alternative or I just go to a store. Remember stores? Yeah, you go into one of these, browse through their products, put what you want into a basket, and then pay a nice man or lady actual MONEY for it, then you go out to lunch or home.
