I'm really disappointed in gravity today... it's always going on about how it's looking out for you, keeping you from floating off into space and keeping elephants from being able to fly (imagine those droppings), but the moment you fall out of a tree a little bit, or knock over a bottle of corrosion chemicals, it's like "Gotcha sucker!"...
I appreciate its work, but come on, can't it cut you a little slack sometimes?

Always abiding by the stupid laws of physics, like some sort of goody two shoes choir boy... but sure, if you are a gravitational anomaly or a quantum singularity, it just looks the other way.

I'm not asking to be able to defy gravity and go zipping around like a superhero... that would be cool and all, and I've tried it enough to know that's not going to happen any time soon... I get gravity probably thinks I'll go flying around pooping on pigeons... and it's probably right, but that's not even the point... all I'm wondering about is, was it really that necessary to snatch my hamburger out my hand the moment I didn't have a death grip on it?

    Frickin' burger snatching natural phenomenon.

Wasn't the trick to flying, to fall down missing the ground?

I keep having dreams I can fly but into the clouds but never be able to return to the ground.

cant decide which character to make Fleet Commander.

someone taller than Capt Janeway.  taking into consideration cover appeal.

what do you think of her vs her ?  Brial is on sale. hard not to be swayed by that
they both look like they can handle themselves in tough decisions

    Brial

    Or

    Leony

Brial seems more experienced... but her ears seem unusually pointy... like maybe in the past Brittany was hung up by her ears, but hopefully now she's learned from that experience and hopefully now she's better at making important decisions.
Maybe it's Bianca's grey hair... or could that just be plaster of paris?... maybe she's also into renovation work... it's good for fleet commanders to have other skills like putting up drywall after a battle or llama waxing.
Beatrice seems pretty fierce, clearly she's killed a small bird in battle and now wears its skull as a necklace... but the images with her in her underwear seems more distracting... like I feel the crew might get distracted worrying about whether she'll catch a cold like while she is issuing orders.

On the other hand Leroy seems pretty punchie... like if you don't say "aye-aye commander!" quick enough she'll punch you in the head.
Maybe Lenov has some baggage and she blames herself for something that wasn't her fault but probably also was... she has a dark past and she is going to kick the snot out of the world until she works it all out.
Lidia seems competent, but prone to rash acts of unnecessary acrobatics too... maybe it's because of her likeness to Lara Croft, I feel like she'd rather be kicking mummies in the crotch or swinging from vines growing in giant statues than formulating decisive strategies.
Like the moment she'd get a chance she'd be doing some insane Kirk sorta stunt or just go running into a room firing both blasters randomly at anything that moves... I feel Lulu would probably be much better suited to being captain of some easily replaceable ship where her rash judgment would be less likely to spell complete disaster for the entire fleet, but if she's successful could turn the tide of battle.

So overall I'd say Biryani would be the better choice for a fleet commander than Linda, but then again I'm only going by their ears or angry raccoon mascara.

If I remember my training as a psychologist (for lemurs), this sort of dream indicates you wish to attain great power, of the sort nobody else has ever held, but you feel fluffy white substances like marshmallows and clouds are standing in your way and that if you turn your back on the things you've relied on throughout your life, like gravity and pizza, you will become obsessed with power and eventually let your god-like status turn you into something that is against everything you believe in, probably a balloon or some sort of zeppelin that's forced to wander the sky forever or until it gets stuck in a tree.

    Disclaimer: I wasn't a good lemur psychologist.

I hate gravity. The scale at my doctor office weighs me more than the one at home!

You should ask him, when the thing was calibrated.

It usually doesn't help if you have your coat and jacket on, which is what happens to me at my doctor's office.

It wouldn't be as much of a problem if gravity wasn't being such a jerk all the time.

Since I can't find it, I'll post a drawing of it. Yeah I drew it even though Wikipedia has a public domain image that looks just like it!

I once did a google search to find about an ABC store, but apparently the stores they found for me isn't really kid friendly, meaning that most of the products aren't good for kids.

talking about kids, my brother sort of rented a boy goat to spend some time with his girl goats. I'm not kidding, but his female goats might be soon. ????

A guy from the electric company just stopped by. He wanted to replace the meter or something, but it required a short power outage. I had to explain that my husband was in a WoW dungeon, and could he please come back later. You could tell he was trying hard not to laugh, but he didn't quite succeed.

I feel like my roommate is doing a lot of little things to annoy me. For example, she offered to wash all the dishes but didn't do the ones I used.

...yep and it is happening more and more.  Of course at times when I like to leave my window open overnight it doesn't help when someone outside feels the need to fire up a loud obnoxious leaf blower at around 06:15 in the morning.

meh neighbours with leaf blowers.  and the fumes.  what happened to good old fashioned raking. and running and jumping into a big pile of leafs

You could break a hip doing that!

remind you of a scene in a movie?

    big ben, parliament

Reminds me of one of those Guilded Era mansions on the north shore... like Castle Gould or one of those.

Oh yeah...who was that dude who retired in the 90s and bought a castle on the Rhine?  Oh he ran that company, MetaCreations...the first issuer of Poser and Bryce.

That's it; Kai Krause, that was his name.  Based on my reading, the dude was some kind of a savant genius or something.  He created the UI for Poser and Bryce, then sold MetaCreations bought himself a castle and just hosted technology conferences.  After that, we never heard from him again, except for some blog postings in German.  What a disappointment.  Not the blog postings, the fact that he never created or invented anything again.

Complaint: Why can't they make a doggy pee pad that doesn't turn  into a slick as snot death trap? I accidently stepped on the pee pad where it had been peed on earlier ,and it was like stepping on a icey pond foot shot out from under me and I ended up full lenght in the floor . Luckily  I seemed to have split a finger nail top to bottum ,bruised my arm and squished my fat .......the plus side being nuthin broke ....... however it took me 15 minutes to butt walk over to a chair I could push against the wall and use to get myself up .......wonder if more bruises will show up tomorrow .

I think your dog is trying to kill you... normally that's a cat thing... are you sure it's a dog and not a cat?
Sometimes cats will dress up like a dog to get someone to adopt them, be written into their will and then the next thing you know the unsuspecting person is falling down the stairs with a pee pad under each foot... that's why it's called "Cat-fishing"... the cats "fish" for someone they can scam into thinking they are an adorable puppy, chinchilla or monitor lizard.

But it's also entirely possible your dog is just a jerk.

The pee pads are good for sliding around the house if you flip them upside down and tape them to your feet... few people notice that in the famous scene in Risky Business where Tom Cruise goes sliding into the room in his underwear singing "Old Time Rock and Roll", his socks are actually pee pads... if you play the scene back slowly you can see the socks are just pee pads wrapped around his feet with medical tape.
It actually required a lot of takes to get that scene right and they had two big Saint Bernards peeing constantly to keep the pee pads fully saturated.
Eventually, Cruise got it right, but the next day he had really bad diaper rash on both feet... in some scene you can notice he's walking funny because of that.

I'm glad you weren't hurt by your "dog's" attempt to off you... stay alert.

You know what you said about squishing fat... it's like I said to my wife when she fell... "don't think of it as fat, it's nature's air bag... but not air... fat"

Now that I've said it again, it doesn't sound as good and I guess that's why my wife threw her shoe at me...

Well... feel better and keep an eye on that "dog".

This is going to be what I start telling people when they ask me why I don't have pets anymore:  "I just got tired of tracking bowel and bladder movements that aren't my own."

What more is there to say, really?

Did you not study psychology for FLYING lemurs?  If not, there's your answer.
