My dad was a snorer.  I don't know how my mother put up with it.

My mom used earplugs when dad was still with us.

...this is in the middle of the city to blow dust and litter off the pavement in front of a building, which a push broom could be used for.

I could understand if it was 09:00 or 10:00 but that early is ridiculous.

Around here people seem fine with having their landscaping people come to do work at 7 AM on a Sunday... WTF is wrong with you that that's okay?
Maybe it's okay with the person who hired them, but maybe it's not okay with everyone else?... Secondly what shady cheap ass contractor is so hard pressed for work they gotta show up at 7AM on a Sunday?
My guess is someone for whom this isn't their primary line of work, that what one guy explained to a friend who wasn't okay with an early Saturday appointment... the guy was like "well I only do this on weekends..." yes, so that's everyone else's problem I guess...

I more or less got the same response from a tree removal guy a few years ago... so like you dabble in tree removal?... yeah, that's the kinda dedication and safety I'm looking for... But after the last few storms the past couple of years, I think anyone with a chainsaw thinks they are a qualified lumberjack now... you should see some of the insane things I've seen these guys doing... it just gives you chills because you can almost feel the injuries before they happen.

...and make for an endliss supply of Stupid Human Tricks videos on YouTube.

Mmmmm, bacon wrapped around fried chicken livers,... swoon...

Non-complaint:  Had to pop in here with the first baby photo of little Mimas, my newest adoptee.  Created from the unwanted motherboard.  Aren't they cute when they're young.  She's still in intensive care until her new case home arrives.

My cats have tiny little snores that are absolutely adorable. My husband also snores, but that is less cute and now I wear earplugs to bed.

Doing a deep dive on horror movies this evening after finding an article about some of the most disturbing ones. I'll look up one movie, and the wiki entry will mention how it influenced another or how it's different from the director's previous works. That leads me to look up that movie and so on. Following new subjects from Wikipedia articles like that is called wikisurfing I think. The plot summary feature of these pages is great. It satisfies my desire to know what happened without having to waste hours getting grossed out (or money on rental fees). I don't usually watch horror, but the stuff some people come up with is fascinating.

Have you ever seen the Internet Movie DataBase?  https://www.imdb.com/   Look up a movie, or actor, or director...see all the things they worked in, ordered by date descending (newest on top).  You get a list of all the actors in a movie or TV show, can click on a name and see all the things that person was in, etc.  It's really cool, and helpful sometimes.

Yes! I use it to find what else someone has done or who played a particular character. I like how there is a picture of the actor/actress next to thier name. It really helps if you are bad with names or haven't seen the movie yet.

Reminds me of one of those Guilded Era mansions on the north shore... like Castle Gould or one of those.

i forgot my login information for an online 3D art gallery website.  It is no big deal because I rarely log into that website.  Plus I don't like the new artwork being posted.  No loss.

My coffee doesn't taste like its been stirred after I put stevia in it. I also accidentally got decaf instead of regular coffee.

Now I think I forgot the stevia in the (decaf) coffee.

Non-complaint:  It's alive, it's alive!  New computer "Mimas" birthed from the unwanted motherboard has found a home and has settled in.  Now it's time to think about a Windows10 key for her.  Case is a CoolerMaster "Masterbox NR-400".  It comes with two dumb (2-wire, single speed) 120mm fans.  I put them both in the front and added a third fan (120mm 3-wire Thermaltake Blue Ring) at the rear that can be controlled by the motherboard fan headers.  The motherboard has a tiny spot of RGB bling on the front edge, and the ring of blue from the rear fan adds a little balance to the teensy bit of RGB bling in this system.

This is not a fancy computer, but is a nice middleclass computer good for household chores and moderate gaming.  No fancy graphic card, just an "MSI N730" (GeForce GT 730).  It could find use as an archive server.

I have a string of LED RGB lights to put in but I don't have the proper connector I need a F-F adapter or a two or three way splitter with F on all ends.  I've ordered a splitter.

    Long live Mimas!

I stayed up late and slept in again. Trying to decide if I should have regular or decaf coffee. Sometimes I think the regular stuff tastes better, but I'm not sure. Going to try to go the whole day without buying anything. No bubble tea, no burritos, no Daz!

I asked my goldfish if they like watermelon. They were too busy eating the pieces I showed them.

..mine would be two hotcakes smothered in butter with real maple surple, hashbrowns, a BLT with a triple order of bacon on it (hold the "L" & "T"), and an extra side of bacon.

It will be on the grounds of the Grande Estate of my story world.

...nice.  I only have two, "Big Sister and "Little Sister"   Oddly Little Sister has 32 GB of memory (her larger sibling only has 24) but a smaller case that cannot accommodate the Titan-X)  Both run W7 Pro64 and are on a local network so I can throw 56 GB of RAM and 20 CPU threads at Carrara rendering.

The case looks similar to my Antec P-193 in that it has a separate "floor" between the MB and PSU.

It's a beautiful set and I have it too. I just wish the structure was a little bigger. It makes me wonder where the bathroom is.

...well after our two day taste of "summer" earlier this week rather nice yesterday and today before heading downhill back to cool and damp.  While the fire danger is a major concern, the "piddle" we've been receiving lately is more annoying than helpful as it barely wets the streets (causing the oil accumulated on them to turn as slick as glare ice) and that is about it. We haven't experienced a real "soaking" rain in months which is what is needed.  In mid April we had our first "red flag" fire alert (April is usually one of our wetter months) the earliest I've seen one issued in my 32 years here.

There was a fiarily large brush fire the last few days east in the Columbia Gorge that closed the major interstate through there. State officials are bracing for what they are calling a "challenging" fire season as we are in the midst of the worst drought here in over a century. Yeah, in supposedly "rainy" Oregon.  Currently there are two small fires one 110 acres and the other, 680 (neither contained) in the southern part of the state, but the season doesn't kick into high gear until late July through September.

Complaint: Why can't they make a doggy pee pad that doesn't turn  into a slick as snot death trap? I accidently stepped on the pee pad where it had been peed on earlier ,and it was like stepping on a icey pond foot shot out from under me and I ended up full lenght in the floor . Luckily  I seemed to have split a finger nail top to bottum ,bruised my arm and squished my fat .......the plus side being nuthin broke ....... however it took me 15 minutes to butt walk over to a chair I could push against the wall and use to get myself up .......wonder if more bruises will show up tomorrow .
