Ooh, ooh, strawberry shortcake. One of my favorite things. Each year I eagerly await strawberry season when our local (1 mile) fruitstand sells the berries and fresh homemade baking powder biscuits (not cookies) to put them on. I mash the berries with a spoonfull of sugar. Just plain like that, no whipped cream, just berries and biscuits.
When I was a kid I used to go with my mother to pick wild strawberries. Mmmm... wild strawberries... Mmmm... Tiny little nuggets of juicy, sweet flavor. So much moister and tastier than the huge farmed berries, but it's a lot of work to clean the bazillions of berries necessary for a family of four. And she didn't stop at just enough for a meal, she'd want to pick enough to make into strawberry jam. Lots and lots of pint (1/2 liter), glass jars of strawberry jam enough for the year and trading to the neighbors. I hated going to pick strawberries, but it was part of the deal for eating them the next winter.
I need the photo but it isn't uploading. Now it did.
...had the best nights' sleep in over a week last night. Think I made a good investment in that window fan unit.
to this day i forget the z and y axeseez are switched
...I still do that a bit. Often times I also mistakenly adjust the Y Translate when I meant to use Y Rotate.
Non-complaint: My brother & sister-in-law invited me for a trip to a cheese shop near the lake. Nice drive and I ended up with a pound of a good quality blue-cheese. Mmmm... creamy, sharpish, bitey blue-cheese. And I got a small piece of a mango Wenslydale. I also told the lady I wanted a piece of cranberry Wenslydale but when I unpacked the cheeses at home, the cranberry Wenslydale was missing, but also not on my receipt. So, no big deal. Hope I get back to the cheese shop again before summer ends. However, a full pound of Blue-cheese should last me most of the rest of the summer.
Complaint: Also we stopped at our local fruit stand to buy strawberries and the lady before me had the last three quarts already on the counter for check-out. I couldn't talk her out of one of them. I did buy some of the homemade baking powder biscuits and left a strong hint with my sister-in-law that strawberries would be really nice to have on hand when I go to their house tomorrow for 4th of July BBQ. So, maybe she got the hint and will sneak off to another source of strawberries. I didn't realize it was so late in the season. Strawberries are almost over, here.
x = rock the boat y<> the slope
the daily 1.99s thing seems to be over.

sometimes i don't know which is scarier, the nazis or the nuns. nuns with rulers, whack a whack
...yeah the servers are still a bit flaky, was getting that yesterday and today.
It looks like some variety of Severum Chichlid... but it's a gold colored fish, so in someone's pea brain it's a goldfish...
So is this actual gold metal tuna...
Which makes me wonder who buys a golden tuna?... like is this something a tuna fisherman gives their loved ones?
Or like is it like a really misguided gift someone buy to show they are paying attention...
"Look honey, I noticed how much you like tuna sandwiches, so I got you this..."
I wonder how many breakups that tuna pendant has presided over.
gravitationally challenged. i dont remember a gallon of milk being so heavy.
If you want them to produce fry, you'll want to get them in some batter, and 20 gallons seems a bit excessive.
That's a matter of perspective.
LeatherGryphon: I love blue cheese. The other day I got some blue cheese stuffed olives to go with port wine cheese spread and crackers. Tasty. Good luck getting some strawberries.
The tracker on the parcel that I'm expecting is just... Nuts! It can't be working. The tracking order (for where the parcel has been) makes no sense! I'm upset about it too. It was a body/bolster pillow case of my favourite gaming characters
I'm a magnet for this this sort of cr*p!
I tried fried clownfish once.
It tasted funny.

Complaint: Some of Stephen King's books have not aged well.
Hard cover or paperback?
Then I remembered that my camera is the one built into my phone. I started to wonder how I can photos of my fish without the phone and its camera?
Did you figure it out?
My parcel was picked up today. I assume the delivery company have a time machine. They picked it up at 22.34
It's only 20.32
If next door want to start feeding our cat, they can put money towards his vet bills. One in, all in. I love that boy so much. I'm terrified that they'll lure/take him away from us.
...if it isn't live, I don't bother. This is the second year we haven't had a show here In Portland. Last year it was Covid, this year it is the extreme fire danger, even in the city.
Some people were shooting off fireworks around town last night in spite of the ban.
The scary part is we have a large forested park (aptly named Forest Park) just to the west and northwest of downtown and where I live. With how dry it's been it wouldn't take much to get a fire going there. and it would have to be fought on the ground as the park is surrounded by businesses and neighbourhoods making it too risky to perform water or retardant drops from aircraft. Last thing we need is a DC-6 or Lockheed L-100 Hercules (civilian version of the military's C-130) crashing in a populated area as water/retardant bombing is a very dangerous operation and often employs aircraft that are decades sometimes more than a half century old.
