....yeah a friend of mine in college at Steven's Point had a gold Barracuda. The early Barracudas shared much of the bodywork and parts with the Valiant.
As to the "fastback" styling even Rambler (American Motors) got in the act with their Marlin.
Speaking of Challengers... My friend's car on Saturday...
He was in a turn lane waiting to pull into a parking lot, the guy in the oncoming lane stopped and waved him on, but some butt-nugget decided to pass the stopped cars on the right (on the shoulder) and hit my friend's car ripping off the front nose clip, jumped the sidewalk and crashed into an empty car in the parking lot, a couple of feet from a family getting into their car.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes...
My friend is okay, but his car is sad now... hopefully the insurance will fix it up good.
This is his other car that him and his brother are working on restoring...
It's not a Dodge, but a '69 Plymouth Satellite... still a Chrysler product though.
Fun stuff.
thanks to whoever said that they are hosting their artwork on their own website. You gave me the idea that I should look for a cheap website hosting service to host my artwork.
Cloudflare gave an error message saying it couldn't connect, I think. I think I saw a 502 error? Everything seems to be fine now.
The most sporty car I ever owned. Anyone able to identify it?
Clue: it had a slant 6 engine and a snakeskin roof.
...Plymouth Duster. .
Cats be like
...this is why we need Cat 8 as the old Mil cat doesn't bend like a real one.
Bingo! Gold Duster '74.
...ah some progress on my order as I finally got an update that my window fans are enroute and will arrive on Thursday.
So guess it becomes a Dominion Day (Canada) prezzie.
O' Canada, eh?
Cats are descended from snakes, thus the extra bendy spine.
...my theory is that they have the uncanny ability to turn their spines completely or in part to jell-o at will.
Snakes? Or serpents? You decide!
Yes it is... Wednesday, that is...
I don't know about Wednesday freebies, but Wednesday used to be Sundae at Carvel... 2 for 1 ice cream sundaes... but I don't know how well known Carvel is outside of the northeast...
Also I don't know if that's history, but since History is written by the victors and my name happens to be Victor, I guess I can say whatever I want to be history... as I often do... you can blame Winston Churchill for that saying, or at least making it well known... other have attributed it to Niccoló Machiavelli and even Herman Göring who while on trial at Nuremberg was supposed to have said "Der Günters wird immer der richter und der Wieners stets der angeklagte sein"... Which translates from German as "The Günters will always be the judge and the Wieners will always be the accused"... or I think that's what he said, honestly I wasn't paying attention and my German is very spotty, but also since I'm a Victor, that's officially history now.
Also History is a cable TV channel devoted to Bigfoot and JFK-alien peanut butter conspiracies, which I would like to clarify that I have nothing to do with because, 1- They keep threatening legal action every time I call, and 2- if I did have anything to do with their shows, they'd be more interesting.
I hope this was helpful.
Complaint: The Popular Local Deli (that actually really, really, really sucks).
You know the one... the one with the line out the frickin door, that "everyone" in town raves about and posts about on Facebutt (or is it book?)...(whatever)... that one that people will postpone life saving surgery for because it's closed for vacation and they need get one more sandwich there before they get their brain transplant...
Yeah, that place...
Not all popular delis suck, but some really, really do.
Its always the ones that have crowds of people who know how the place "works"... like who you have to talk to, where you have to stand, how to place your order, secret passwords or whatever...
The place you get suckered into going to because some dope suggested (nay, insisted) you try it... the place the moment you walk into it is utter chaos and confusion, no signs, no prices, no proper lines, queues or order, where either you are born and raised with a Mandolorian-like understanding of it as "This is the way" or you can suck it.
We have a Bagel Joint/Deli like that nearby and every now and then, I go there for a particular breakfast sandwich for my wife... I hate it... but honestly, there are no other places close enough that have that particular sandwich, so I suffer through it... and before you defend them, thinking perhaps I don't get their mojo or vibe or the way they flow... no... I've grown up around popular high traffic delis and as a kid used to help out at a friend's deli in Brooklyn... while I get they can sometimes have an obnoxious "Cheers", "everyone knows your name" vibe that gets lost on first timers, there is usually a good reason they are popular that goes beyond a few good sandwiches... it's primarily, flow and efficiency...
This joint has got neither, and on top of that their food is pretty "Megh".
Oddly this particular place was actually made more popular due to a viral video incident that occurred there a year or two ago and was featured in a skit on one of the late night shows.
Bagh.
That's all... no long laments... you all probably have similar experiences, so no need for me to expound on the complaint.
You mean the detergent chaps who employed Shane Richie to kick down people's doors and threaten them to take the "Doorstep Challenge" where homeowners were forced to pit DAZ detergent against a washing machine filled with deadly cobras to see which was better at removing stains?
Okay... I guess they probably have freebies, but if it still involves the snakes, maybe you should pass...
Hmmm... "Boils Whitest of All"???? Who boils their clothes anymore? Didn't that go out with lye soap and washboards? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Washboard_(laundry)
Speaking of popular places to which one is forced to accompany one's boss for lunch. There was (or maybe still is) a restaurant in Northern Virginia west of Washington, DC that is a little pointy roofed building that has a reputation of being the place to go if you want to be insulted, a-la Don Rickles without the lovable charisma, while you eat. Sure enough, before we received our food, the owner, a short, bald, angry old man behind the counter, berates customer after customer for piddly stuff as they're ordering, eating or paying. I'm not sure if it was an act or if he's in his own zoo display and being gawked at by the crowd because it certainly wasn't the food that was the attraction. I sort of remember him as a cross between Don Rickles, Basil Fawlty, and the soup nazi. I was entertained, but not amused.
i'm looking at domain name registration services. One registration company does not display the annual fee for registrating a domain name. i'm going to skip that company. I guess my complaint is that some online stores don't disclose a price, even a sale price, to a prospective buyer.
..."FaceButt". Appropriate name.
Woke up this morning to see a strange sight, there were these grey things up in the sky and that bright shiny thing that baked our fair city for five days was nowhere to be seen. What's more, it's noon and only 72° in the 'hood. not 92° or 102°. May need to pull a jacket out of the closet today. ;-)
Apparently Photoshop requires more than 89 GB of RAM to open.
just got home from day at the office. was motion sick on the bus trip home. the driver love it. i dont travel without barf bags, so she forgave me. the SCAT busses has awful shock absorbers. its bouncy bouncy bump sway for longer than i can handle
what the world needs now is love sweet love
i dont understand the logic. if i wasnt interested when it was 1.99, expect me to be more interested when its 3.99?
i mean like, whats the point?
Not that it's really related, but this reminded me of a deli in NJ that did roughly $36,000 worth of business in the last two years combined. Nevertheless, this place has a market capitalization of over $100 million. The cost of shares more than doubled while it was closed for the pandemic. Since then, shares have gone up even further.
The CEO works as a principal and wrestling coach at a local high school.
I wonder what the company really does. It sure isn't making money off sandwiches.
Maybe it's "perceived value"... like if you keep raising the price people will eventually panic and buy it because it seems like it's going up in value?... or is that "Fear Of Missing Out" where you panic and buy something because you are afraid to look like a pantless schmuck or still yet, maybe it's just hoping nobody pays attention to the price?
definitely suspicious. if i was a betting person, would bet, some kind of betting on sports. or roids.

That's a lot of words to tell us you eat at a local Subway and you hate it but you do it because you love your wife.
the Cookies deli on Church?
got a sudden craving for fresh turkey, gravy, mash taters and stuffing. secret stuffing ingredient marjoram.
I ate at In 'n Out Burger once, and that's all I'll say on the subject.
