Whee, my new monitor came in. It's ginormous (compared to what I had before). I doubt I'd be able to fit another 24 inch monitor on my desk.

Can't wait to try it in Daz but tonight is gaming night and we're leaving in ten minutes.

of course they use an ancient monitor that goes along with windows XP and earlier versions of windows.

FYI, this is what the SOFTWARE GUY (me) does here.. and it has almost nothing to do with software! :ahhh: :ahhh:

I constructed 90% of that, 10% with the able and indispensable help of my hardware counterpart. :bug:

Since we won't have REAL hardware until Christmas, I built a near copy out of parts.. and can develop without "real" hardware.

    Pity me... :blank:

*pities* but love breadboarding personally

I love breadboarding SMALL projects, not mocking up a large, multi-processor breadboard! :ahhh:

What you see there is a TI MSP430 microcontroller hooked up to a 128x64 LCD, a brushless DC motor controller, an intelligent RGB LED, a real-time clock.. and I haven't even wired in the Ethernet controller yet! :bug: :bug: :bug:

Already had a few folks walking by asking if this was the Mad Scientist Department... :blank:

...do you have one of these?

I've been trying to find one, the last one I saw on eBay turned out to be non-functional! :shut:

    It'd be nice.. sigh.. :long:

Fiancé is sick and going to the doctor. He has been ill since early Tuesday. I'm now starting to feel a scratch in my throat. Based on what his doc says he has, I may need to see my doctor

Can't wait to play world of Warcraft on my new computer. I might need to swap out the 300 watt power supply for a 500 watt power supply unit. :gulp: At least I didn't order the computer. I can still look for another computer with a higher rated power supply.

I always get 750 watt. Its cheap enough and you are guaranteed you have enough power for future upgrades. Some of the newer Nvidias require a lot of watts.

...hopefully it isn't what I got the other week (and still feel some effects of). That had me laid out totally.

...so that's what happened. I signed in and suddenly wondered ,"yikes where am I"? IMO, doesn't look as clean and professional.

Also in FF the tab no longer reads "Daz3d" but "All". Makes me feel I'm it's a site for a brand of laundry soap.

It's still there for me in My Account. I don't get it...they've gone for the "Metro" look, which is to say they're making it look like a smart phone. But they made the fonts larger! That crap already takes up too much screen space, but the larger fonts makes it even worse.

Where's that scratching my head smiley?

...yeah, it looks rather "clunky" if you ask me.

What, they think we are all using smartphones or tablets?

...and people wonder why I dislike Windows 8.
