Yet another render from Lux 1.4 via Reality 4.
This time Naida from http://www.daz3d.com/fw-naida-and-nalin
... and one more
Nice, but the skin looks a bit dead, sort of like a mannequin.
CHEERS!
Yes, that's the problem with all my Lux renders - skin always looks not so good.
I just need to find some good skin setup for Reality DS, just one ...
...are you using Reality2.5 or Reality4?
I am using Reality 4 for Daz Studio.
Below is another Lux render 1.4 test.
This time is http://www.daz3d.com/miu-zen-for-victoria-6
...are you using the reality "skin" material?
First one is DS 4.8, i'm happy that after re-installing all my aoa stuff the lights actually work. (haven't tested the cameras yet)
...cool.pic.
Missed your unique style.
Definitely getting there, though something is still amiss. I haven't used Lux so I couldn't say what though.
CHEERS!
Looks great, glad to have you here.
CHEERS!
Thought I'd share some of my tinkering here. This is Bjorn with an UberSurface2 MAT I've been working on.
CHEERS!
This looks very realistic Rogerbee. :-)
Thanks, it's taken some doing, but, I think I'm getting there. I downloaded store promo pics for the main figures and have worked out their background colours using the colour picker in Photoshop. They are all saved as custom colours in DS now.
Does anyone know how they do that bokeh effect in the promos, is that done with Ron's Bokeh perchance!?
CHEERS!
I have not changed any material received from Daz Studio in this render
and I do not know if Reality change them automatically.
Have to check the documentation, though.
Great image, Dire Bunny, as usual.
Great render, Rogerbee.
One more Lux 1.4 render of Miu Zen via Reality 4 for Daz Studio.
Just checked materials of Miu Zen passed to Lux via Reality and they are Lux skin materials, indeed.
...very shiny.
When I was working with Reality4, I was able to get nice skin tones using the SSS Shader and the Reality/lux 'Skin" material without the excess shine. . Unfortunately I have no finished examples as render times on my system were "glacial" (even after 10 - 11 hours of "cooking" it would still be fairly grainy).
I updated to Carrara 8.5 Pro, so I now have access to Genesis figures. Why did no one ever mention they come with rigged pectorals? And why, oh why, haven't I seen an animation with rigged pectorals before now?!?
;-)
BTW, there's some nice things going on here. I would have commented, but as usual, I don't seem to get e-mails about threads I'm subscribed to in the Commons regularly.
Thanks, I lost that MAT due to overzealous housekeeping. I did another though and it's better.
CHEERS!
Hello boys!
I didn't know they could do that!
CHEERS!
Looks to me like you should dial back the specular and raise the glossiness and adjust to taste.
CHEERS!
Hello boys!
I didn't know they could do that!
CHEERS!
Yes, it opens some whole new realms! The Oscillate tweener is my new friend. ;-)
Oscillate tweener, mmm, interesting!
CHEERS!
So basically the bouncing required just two keyframes, the breast being up, and then the breast being down. The rest was done by the tweener. It automates the bounce.
I set the beginning state, and at the end of the animation set the end state, which creates keyframes, then instead of using a Linear or Bezier tweener I used the Oscillate. For example I keyframed the pecks being pushed up, with the end of the up phase creating a keyframe. The tweener between the breast being down and then up, was a simple linear tweener, then I moved the breast back down at the end of the animation. If I had left the Linear tweener in place they would have mechanically moved back into place, but the Oscillate tweener has different types of oscillations, such as Sine, Square, Bounce etc. It also has controls for the number of oscillations, damping and up phase. The longer the point between keyframe A and Keyframe B can determine your settings. If I had wanted two seconds of just bouncing breast (and who doesn't  ), then I would have to add more oscillations and adjust the damping as well.
LOL!
Who knew they could be so scientific. Anyway before the thread descends into chaos, here are 2 new MATs, M4 Rob and D5 Neo..
CHEERS!
I get enough comments and dirty looks from the wife when I do still image pinup renders... I starting adding bouncing "pectorals" and I'll be sleeping on the couch...
Beauty shots of my Carrara procedural skin shader and dynamic hair eyebrows and eyelashes. Note that there are no image maps used to generate color bump, SSS, etc.
I used full GI and SSS. The first image is the raw render from Carrara, except for the background.
The second uses render passes, such as GI, SSS, Specular, Shadow, etc. in PS and blended and adjusted. The shadow pass is great for adding soft shadows in post production. Just apply a blur to the shadow layer.
