I couldn't find any sap, so put them on myself instead.

Made eight attempts to visit since 7:30 am... either the forums were down for several hours or the servers have been flaking out continuously and I just happened to be catching the flaking out event... but oddly, even though it timed out every shot, the software thinks I visited this thread because it marked this thread as read.

    Stupid servers and crappy software.

    +1 indecision

I had a serious, enlightened, poignant comment that would have generated world peace, but the forum boogered up, and I lost the epiphany.  So, when the bombs start falling, it can be blamed on bad software. angry

What if a little Dutch boy noticed a hole in the dike but it was too large for his finger so he raided his lunchbag and shoved a plum into the hole, would he then be a plummer?indecision

Maybe I should call Jake Plummer.  Wait I don't have his numbers.  Actually I think he deals more with mushrooms than being a Plummer.

edit I think he could be a fun guy as he keeps a bunch of fungi around him.

    Complaint 1:
After an outage of several hours the internet is back on... (the outage is the complaint)...

    Complaint 2:
Verizon sucks goat nuggets… I have 1 bar signal strength at best anywhere on my property.

    Complaint 3:
Because Verizon sucks goat nuggets, I still retain a landline…

    Complaint 4:
Stupid landline is part of Cable/Internet/Phone bundle thus, no internet, no bundle service.

    Complaint 5:
My 100+ year old house is a faraday cage because most of the house has 1910s old school steel reinforced hurricane-proof stucco on the exterior under the siding.

    Complaint 6:
One bar is not enough to receive a signal through a faraday cage.

    Complaint 7:
It’s 88° and extremely humid outside.

    Complaint 8:
Outside is where one has to wait for a phone call when all of the above criteria are present (except for # 1)

    Complaint 9:
The person who was supposed to call forgot what time to call.

    Complaint 10:
After the internet comes back on, the forums keep 502ing (yay, crappy software!).

    Observation:
I was stopped at a light next to a Suffolk county bus this morning and noticed a warning sticker next to the door indicating that "Firearms, Weapons and Explosives" are not permitted on the bus.
See... this is why I don't ride the bus... what fun is it if I can't take my MK19 40mm belt fed grenade launcher with the bayonet mounted on it for a ride with me... how am I supposed to get a seat?
I'm guessing that's a normal warning I never noticed before and all buses worldwide have them...
    Right?
That's not just an "over here" thing...?
    It's totally normal... right?

    Non-complaint...

Lord Of The Rings: Rings Of Power is coming to the Lex Luthor streaming service in September.

I'm not holding my breath, but maybe it'll be good.

Complaint: New DAZ emails are showing only names of new products, no images.  Not exactly the way to entice someone to purchase.  They really think this is a good move?

Mine has product images above the names.

I need stamps!  I ordered some stamps but somehow they aren't getting to me.  The complaint department only has a P.O. Box which means I need stamps!

I just found the problem...they're using a new CDN, I think.  Thenderbird had one in options that wasn't enabled.  Several days ago, there was no problem, this just started in the past few days.  Pictures are here agin!

...during the time when people began bringing  all sorts of critters on the bus and calling them "emotional support animals" (yes there was someone who actually brought a dwarf horse on a bus), I thought of asking a friend who has a couple pythons to let me borrow one which I would call my "emotional support  snake" fter all I Was born i nthe Year of the Snake) .  That way I could get a full seat all to myself.

The downside is I would probably have attracted members of the local Goth community to sit next to me.

I don't know about where you are, but I'm completely tired of people bringing dogs into stores.

I'm not being mean, I love dogs and partly identify as canine, but there places that are not appropriate to bring dogs... not to mention that 75% of the dogs people take to stores clearly don't want to be there... they are either uncomfortable or nervous, not to mention that the idiots on the other end of the leash are putting their pets in danger... I think I mentioned a while ago how I almost crushed a small dog in Home Depot... I was pushing a very heavy cart with large items like plywood and cinder blocks and a little dog tried to jump out of the way of someone's shopping trolley and I missed it by fractions of an inch, not only that, but making such an evasive maneuver wrecked my shoulder for a couple of days... and it's not the last time that or something similar happened... I've also seen a large dog frighten a little girl into hysterical tears because it was so focused on a forklift passing nearby, it didn't see her passing alongside and when it turned, it panicked and lunged at her... then there is the dog that took a dump in the middle of the grocery store, which someone ran over with their cart before the employees got a chance to clean it up... and of course the person took off as soon as it was deposited.
I get that some people need their pet and might have a legitimate need for animal based emotional support, but since the pandemic it's gotten out of hand... Many people do it just to get compliments on the dog too... the poor dog is ready to jump out of its skin, but they are gabbing it up with anyone who says it's a cute dog, telling Fido's and their life story, despite the fact the poor beast is ready to drop dead from anxiety.

And the stores do nothing to stop them... I get that because people are crazy and you never know how people are going to react to being told fluffy can't come in... the employees are paid enough to deal with that and people just don't give a crap who they inconvenience for their own enjoyment.

Which alway reminds me of the look on the face of that lady whose dog I almost smooshed... incredulous anger, like I did something wrong, yet I was the one who got hurt due to her stupidity and negligence.

I think it was last Saturday when I went to a busy mall and saw someone with a dog.  The caretaker was at a kiosk about to buy something.

I wonder if I have some Finnish ancestry... talking to me is pretty annoying and dangerous... more for sanity reasons, but definitely for health too, especially  if you follow my advice... like my tutorial on Do It Yourself tonsillectomies.

"Silence is golden" is also an English saying.

"Silence is golden" was coined as a polite way to say, "Shut up!"

[pedantry] It is mildly infuriating to me when people refer to members of the US House of Representatives as "congress[man/woman/person]". The US Congress consists of the House and the Senate, so both representatives and senators are congresspeople, yet senators are regularly referred to by their actual title while representatives are given a less accurate title. ...yeah I feel the same. I'm, always nervous coming to the end of an aisle at the super pushing my trolley worrying about one of those micro dogs (that are smaller than rats I've seen in New Orleans (not kidding either) coming around the corner and right in my path. Market  asiles have the worst "blind" initersections around because of the height of the shelves.  Like cats these little dogs also seem to like getting under foot, which with my somewhat unsteadiness due to arthritis and a slight bit of vertigo, is not fun to deal with.

There was one time I was at the market and one of these little dogs refused to stop yapping at everything with it's shrill high pitched squeaky voice  I expected it to collapse of hyperventilation or explode.

Speaking of annoying, there's someone, likely strung out on drugs or something, on the walkway below my window screaming at nobody right now .It's a nice evening and I like havng my wndow open but sometimes it just gets intolerables. Even yappy little dogs are not as bad.

I hear this jsut about every night and sometimes during the day.
