    I was responding to SimonJM regarding the layered clothing comment. Release date hasn't been finalized yet. I am hoping next month sometime.

  • Hi,

    i tried fit control on G3M. After saving i saw, that the file is very large.

    So i tried to remove "unused morphs" with the Delete Unused Genesis 3 Male Fit Control Morphs.dse but i get the following errors.

    See attached graphics.

    "Please select a follower item and try again" appears when i select M7 root
    The next error appears when i select a follower item like hips or legs and click on the script.

    How can i reduce the filesize or / and remove morphs i didn't use?

    Select the clothing, not the character, to delete unusec morphs from the clothes.

    i'm the only one to get horrible freeze after adding the fit control to G3F?

    when i add fit control to a G3F daz freeze every 3s, so impossible to do anything.

    once fit control removed, all back to normal, so this come from Fit control.

    if anyone know how to fix this stupid freeze with fit control, say me

    Hi this happens when a follower is present on figure with high density polygons (Usually hair) when the script is open. We are working on a fix..If you want to avoid the issue, use Fit Control when no hair is on the figure. If any other content is causing this slowdown, please let us know. But yes, the issue happens when the script cycles through content of high density nature, slowdown usually clears up after 7min, but that waiting time is impractical. If you don't want to wait for it to stabalize, just save scene, close studio and open again.

    First of all, absolutely love your products! I don't think I've ever adressed you directly so just wanted to open with that. Anyway...

    Sorry to necro this but could you post a step-by-step solution to the filesize bloat on 4.12, please?

    If I save a scene subset of a character with his outfit I'm getting gigabyte size .dufs now, saving can take like ten minutes (literally). I think it's linked to 4.12? Maybe not, dunno.

    Before, the same character with an outfit would be 100-ish megabytes and saves were under a minute.

    Illustrations with scene elements attached:

    - Trench coat dude: saved october 2020, filesize 1.18GB

    - Pullover dude: saved in august 2019, filesize 136MB (resaved it today, in 4.12 and new scene subset is still 136MB)

    I can't make sense of this but the long saves are really breaking my flow, if that makes any sense.

    Try deleting unused Fit Control morphs on selected items to lighten the scene.

    The morphs are projected onto clothes and are designed to be remembered in a daz scene..Only way to keep them on clothes for export is to select the fit control morphs and save physically to the clothing item. So choose clothing after FC morphs have been applied, then go save support assets, choose morph assets and save to a folder on the clothes. Now if you want them removed from the clothes again you will have to go into the data folder of the clothing and remove the morphs you just saved.

    I read your answer about exporting FitControl morphs, I tried it but I didn't have success.

    I have a g3f character with a cloth fitted to it (unparented from the g3f).
    I need to export(fbx) the cloth with some FitControl morphs so I can import it into unity.

    I saved the cloth as a morph asset with the needed FitControl morphs selected.
    I deleted the cloth from the scene and reloaded it on the g3f, The saved FitControl morphs appeared and worked correctly.

    When I export the cloth (fitted to my g3f), and import the fbx into Unity, the FitControl morphs doesn't work.
    If I unfit the cloth from the g3f character (fit to None), and then export it, the morphs will work in unity, but the cloth wont fit the character.
    (And also, I can't use the unfit metohd because I have to export the cloth with some other morphs from the character, morphs which are available to export only if the cloth is fitted to the character)

    How can I export the cloth fitted to my g3f character with some FitControl morphs?

    I found a workaround, it's not elegant but it works.
    I save the needed FitControl morphs to the cloth as morph asset.
    Then, I close DAZ Studio, and manualy delete the same FitControl morphs from the g3f morphs-zev0-FitControl folder (I move them to a tmp folder).
    Launch DAZ Studio, and export the cloth, and it works. After the export, I move the removed morphs back to the g3f... FitControl morphs folder.

    I think , this workaround could be avoided if when saving the FitControl morphs to the cloth as morph asset they wont be connected to the FitControl morphs on the character.
    Is there a way to do it?

    When using Fit Control last night on G3F, I ran into a clothing item (https://www.daz3d.com/fantasy-wrap-for-genesis-3-female-s) that wouldn't receive the Fit Control morphs. I read through the manual, and made sure that the wrap had a smoothing modifier, but the morphs aren't showing up for that item. All of the other clothes accquired the morphs just fine. Are there some items that this wont work for? I found a workaround for what I was trying to do (fixing pokethrough from the clothing underneath the wrap), but it had me scratching my head for a bit.

    Hmm, maybe I should try reinstalling the wrap. I haven't had this happen with any other clothing. I was getting pokethrough in the shoulder area layering it over a full-body item I was using as armor. Lowering the displacement on the shader I was using on the bodysuit solved the problem, but now I need to play around and see why the wrap wasn't accepting the Fit Control morphs. Thanks for responding so quickly.  Your products are must-haves for making the most of the other content I have.
