If you can't afford a Constitution Luxury Class spacecraft, might I suggest something a bit more economical (Rick and Morty style).
A continual work in progress, modeled in Carrara.
w.i.p. testing Philemo's filters plugin to get Arianna's skin more natural
That's very nice! What setting did you use?
thx Philippe, a mix between provia, velvia e classic chrome (fuji filters)
here is another try
very nice, amazingly realistic, wonderful to see how your renders are upping the antie
classic stuff de3an, nice lines pure and simple and classy
Thanks. I tried to realize the cartoon spaceship from "Rick and Morty" on the Cartoon Channel's "Adult Swim". Not sure if you get that in Australia.
Was kind of difficult, since the animators didn't draw it consistently from scene to scene. I'd like to model the characters too, but they're several orders of magnitude more difficult (for me anyway).
These are a couple of reference images.
thx Head wax, there is something to adjust here and there but I'm very satisfied with the smile and natural expression
here is my C8 post
I have the Power!
.
w.i.p. another great set by Stonemason
growwwwwl
nice kitty
did you notice a bit of Flowscape in there Wendy
nicely composited
damn you have me addicted to that game!!!
lol... it's pretty cool hey..
I have to get a new video card as my current one won't run that Nvidia screen capture program.. it's too old lol
one of my entries in the Raining Men challenge..
handy for tutorials etc too
FRAPS or Bandicam popular otherwise but a new card will let you do bigger scenes and use that other app DAZ studio with iray
wip testing soft shadows
Looks like a successful test to me!
thx DB, this one looks better: by adding a bulb light I have adjusted the hue of some shadows on the left side and corrected some weird ones on the right
what I love in carrara are the endless possibilities that a plethora of tools and functions can give, both in artistic and technical field
Agreed on that, my friend!
Nice tweak! I've been having fun adjusting illumination of interiors, finding that I can use Shape lights that are specially linked to specific parts of the scene, while enhancing the outcome with the volumetrics of spot lights. I've been noticing how the volumetrics will assist illumination, even on things the light itself is told to ignore, which can be really beneficial. Then, if I need to completely ignore something, just make sure the volumetric are behind that thing.
I just did a fun test in that and was about to make my first save of an excellent result when I think my computer finally died for good :(
I might just try a test of my own patience and (argh) try building a scene on this (argh) laptop again (sigh). At least to try and fulfill my need to work in Carrara until I can afford my new build. (Argh and Sigh)
w.i.p. tweaking fresnel reflection (sheen) on skin via curve filter
Interesting. Works quite well. Nice job!
thx DB, this is my latest wip shot, normalized in post
smooth reflection on the outer edges, more emphatic in the centre
sometimes carrara works like a charm
rising the bar higher and higher magaremoto - so life like!
thx headwax, always too kind

Nice work magaremoto :) although she looks a bit startled,..
a quick ,..messing around in the dark,.. render.
thx 3dage,
maybe she is disappointed for my uncorrect use of maps I just can't find a way to tweak the provided maps at best
cool render and lighting BTW
