Thanks all
do we have an official carrara gallery in the daz galleries?
i guess galleries are individual things? can't have a "carrara" gallery?
No, I don't think there is a Carrara gallery. I could be wrong because I told them to go F themselves over censorship and I haven't looked back. There used to be the ability to tag products from their store that were used in the picture. I used to make sure to tag Carrara before anything else.
RE: Carrara in galleries.
You can type Carrara in the gallery search box. Use the search boxes at bottom of gallery screen, not the top. The top is for the store. There are a few people posting Carrara images in the galleries who are not always as active in the Carrara forum.
Here is the first page earlier this morning.
@Diomede_Carrara which search box did you use? Image or artist?
I typed Carrara in the box to search images.
Thanks. I noticed that there were some artists I didn't know. Some I looked at used Carrara to model a room or structure and then used Studio to assemble and render their scene.
I've been playing around with the dynamic dress I made. Trying different settings, etc. I want to try something a bit more ambitious. At this point, I'm frustrated with trying animations with dynamic clothes, so I am just working out how to use it for still images. I may try loading a Gen 2 figure to see how it behaves.
My workflow for this particular item is to pose the figure, orient the dress on the figure as best I can. Then I use the model in the Assembly room function and soft select to push and pull the vertices to fit the figure. It takes a little work, but not as much as I thought. I then run the simulation and render the last frame of the simulation as my still image.
I should note that the hair is Phil W's Sidelong hair with the shaders modified to get rid of kink, clump, and way-dialed down wave shader. I also changed the highlight and shininess. I was going for an Asian look for the model, and I feel that it fits the character better with the changes that I made.
nice and sensual EP
Thanks Wendy! I'm trying it on Olympia for G2F right now.
Trying Olympia with the dynamic clothes. I actually had a nice looking drape, but there was a bug and the simulation didn't show up in the render. I exported the mesh to an .obj file, and reimported. It retained the drape in the exported/reimported file. I'm trying a couple things to see if I can get the physics simulation to work in the render.
Yes weird how it can do that, Octane will of course show what’s in the Assemble room but I have noticed that sometimes with Carrara native.
DinoDamage!
thanks.
is nice to see carrara represented in the gallery.
just some 360 renders of the terrain wizard landscapes
you probably have to watch it on YouTube to use the 360 pan around feature

Spun up some dials for this image for a competition but found out it's not eligible... oh well...
bit of Carrara render combinations with FX in Hitfilm fun
Thanks, Bunyip, for the cmment.
Stezza - the Beatles pic makes me think I should have made the challenge theme elate to a famous image (not necessarily recreate it). Excellent. Maybe a future one.
Wendy - loving the cool walk through and special effects. I need to experiment more with hitfilm.
searched the Daz gallery for carrara. 2019 is like 30 carrara uploads. or tagged carrara. could be more but untagged.
