Okay to get this thread back on track. I need some help in the STAR TREK realm of things.

    But first....

A respectful "Please take your Star Wars conversations, renders and such over to the Star Wars Thread. Crossover images are okay, as most of us are fans of multiple genere's. But a polite Please has been asked. "

    Thank you.

    Back on track...

I'm working on a couple of other projects while working the Mirror Universe series. The Primary-Secondary project is to get my sequel to my very first novel done. A TOS era book. I'm looking for a Romulan bridge. a large one at that. the set up is it will need to be a bridge for a Juggernaught romulan ship. Any suggestion where I can find one or get one converted. I have the tools. I just need the set.

and for show and tell....my fugly romulan commander...no gorgeous romulan ladies in this novel.

Demonslayer was working on a TOS Bird of Prey bridge- he sent me renders of it that I used as backgrounds in my novels- but I don't think he ever finished it. Then too, he based it on "Balance of Terror" so it might be too small for your needs. With the more intense intrest in the NG Tech, I doubt there's one out there.

Nice work on the Romulan! And the background is very striking as well. Something you made?

You don't like the Romulan Bridge from Rendo? Aside from the screen textures, I always thought it was good.

Asking the gentleman now. Thanks Bluto.

And as for bridge, I was refering to this one. http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/starship-bridge-7-for-poser-/87135/ as Trek bridges or any scifi bridge it's not one of Rduda's best...if at all. (DAZ - given recent changes in policy this is not an endorsement but to point out the source of my personal opinion.)

Sorry Richard if it is your work, but it doesn't have the feel.

Didn't someone say a few months back that the Bridge 7 set was based on — but not quite like — a ship from the Star Wars: Clone Wars series? I had been wondering why this one didn't really have the look of a Trek bridge.

I took a look when Paul posted the link and got to wondering about that myself.

Shadowhawkone just pointed out to me that bridge is from the beginning of Revenge of the Sith. It would defiantly not do well as a federation bridge knowing that now.

still waiting on a response if the other individual will share his creation.

If I am not mistaken that is General Grievous's ship from the opening of Revenge of the Sith, the One that they flew down to the surfaces. Dang it Paul you beat me to it again!

I don't think it is a bad set, definitely not a Star trek set and having played around with it, it does make for a great universal bad guy bridge but it would be a big oops to use it in a Star Trek novel.

Here is the crew of Starfleet's most controversial starship, the U.S.S. Invictus. From left to right are:
-1st Lt. Ernest Dawson. Lives up to his name as he's intensely "earnest". Dawson is in charge of the detachment of Starfleet Marines aboard the Invictus. He reports directly to Lt. Cmdr. Threlven.
-Lt.Cmdr. Verden Anom. Invictus's Bajoran Chief Engineer. She's a bit in awe of seerving under Capt. Norstrom.
-Lt. Cmdr Threlven. Chief Tactical Officer and Head of Security aboard the Invictus. Despite being perhaps the best Tactical Officer in Starfleet, no starship captain can stand his acerbic, sarcastic presence for more than a month... Except for Captain Norstrom.
-Cmdr. Maria Santos. First Officer of the Invictus. She is not Norstrom's choice for First Officer. Santos was assigned to the Invictus to "keep an eye" on Norstrom.
-Capt. Stellan Norstrom. Starfleet's most controversial Captain commanding Starfleet's most controversial starship. Tall and imposing, Norstrom made his reputation in Starfleet during the Dominion War... Before the "Centine Incident" forced his retirement. Starfleet asked him back to command the Invictus.
-Dr. Thomas Laird. Invictus's Chief Medical Officer. The oft-married Laird is considered good-natured but eccentric by most. He, along with Threlven, has the Captain's ear.
-Dr. Angela M'Benga. Ship's Counselor of the Invictus. She comes from a long line of starship medical personnel.
-Lt. j.g. T'Prae. Invictus's reluctant Chief Operations Officer. She was the "throw-in" of the deal that transferred Threlven aboard the Invictus. But, as a Vulcan, she has reservations about serving aboard a "warship".
-Lt. Fesstatorius. Helmsman of the Invictus. Fesstatorius is a Wyvern, a race of evolved dragons that have millions of years of flight ingrained into every fibre of their being. Despite his fearsome appearance, Fesstatorius is really a gentle soul.

So why is the U.S.S. Invictus controversial ?

    Good question!

The Invictus is so controversial because, without making too fine a point of it, it is a "warship". Starfleet prides itself on being an agency of exploration, and it doesn't like to be seen as a military force. But, Starfleet also has the responsibility of defending the Federation from hostile forces. Starfleet has flirted with warships before with the Defiant class and Prometheus class. But, both the Defiant and even the Prometheus were small, overpowered ships. The Invictus is a very large (25-30% larger than a Sovereign class starship), very heavily armored ship with a vast arsenal of weapons and a detatchment of Starfleet Marines.

The Invictus is Starfleet's response to a number of events: the Borg incursions of the sector and of Earth itself, the Dominion War, and Shinzon's attempt to destroy Earth to name a few. The Invictus was envisioned to be a strong line of defense for the Federation. Or, as I like to put it, "...When it hits the fan, Starfleet sends in the Invictus!"

    Just had a thought.
Anybody think a letter writting campaign to RDNA might get them to re-release the Space Command outfit I used for my WOK uniform?

my guess madd, is that it might be worth a try .
after all they are in the buisness of selling digital content for money .
if enough people voice up that means there is a demand , to which they might be willing to supply

Was playing around with Sculptris and came up with this vorta like morph. I realize now that the ear hole is a little high, but other than that it looks pretty cool, I think.
