Thanks, I have that, yeah
Yes, I tried adding the Arabian and Thoroughbred morph and a little of the Emaciated horse morph to get a less bulky horse body for the little fae and teen characters. Not bad thanks for the suggestion. Still wish there was a real morph maybe a pony or foal morph.
A centuar couple ......
Really love the Centaur with the IDG Iray Essentials shaders. She renders pretty fast too.
Thanks so much Alliekatblue and L'Adair. I can't tell you how hard it was to keep my mouth shut for the past month to tell you that a free update was coming. I had to strip all the female centaur presets out of the product to get it released before now, otherwise they were going to hold the product. My other option was to have all the centaur(s) presets refer to the horse mats, and then that would have meant the Daz Horse 2 Pro Bundle would have been required to use any of it, and that did not sound ideal to me. Rock=Hard Place.
I'm really enjoying all the renders. You all rock!
daz horse 2 maybe old but obviously everyone in charge must believe it still has life in it using it as the centaur base and various new releases horse wise took a long time yes so you may just get lucky here and either daz or a pa will create these morphs and who knows maybe we'll get an update on the cats, dogs and big cats too
If you have Growing Up for Genesis 3 Females, try this: Start with the base female character, make your centaur body as "less bulky" as you can, then apply a small percentage of the Youth Morph to the "Genesis 3 Female Centaur", which will make both the G3F and the Centaur body smaller. It won't change the shape of the centaur body, just make it smaller overall. Then dial in the fae character head and body until you like the look. (Apply the materials for the fae character to the G3F Centaur at any point, of course.)
Maybe one/some of the PAs will do a morph pack for the Centaur bodies, like those we see for the base characters: Legs longer/shorter; Rump Rounder; Girth smaller/larger; etc., and for the G3M/G3F bases, a few morphs to do things like smooth out the groin, (which can be too obvious on the female after applying various morphs,) and morph the back to reflect the centaur body so clothing will flow across the centaur's back, etc.... Muscularity for Centaur 7... Aging Morphs for Centaur 7... Vascularity for Centaur 7...
wonder what the chances are of seeing hd morph addosn for centaur/d horse2 probably slim but who knows could happen
It would only take one morph-master to come up with a basic set of body morphs for the centaur, which could also work on the horse and increase his/her market quite a bit. Maybe... I wouldn't mind vascularity morphs and/or muscularity morphs, but I suspect those will never happen...
@DestinysGarden, way to keep a secret. I was so happy to get the Horse 2 shader and so surprised to get the centaur presets for free, something I would have gladly paid for. Thanks for your work on this.
And another from me ...he's got draft horse morph and she is shetland pony and a touch ofdonkey to round her butt
Still someting about the transitions from the human to horse that doesn't sit quite right with me. When they have a belt or armor or something covering this area it's fine but when it's bare more barbaric natural ... I don't know.. even the females should have some sort of a happy trail traveling up slightly to the navel area and perhaps up the small of the back a bit with a really nice gradual falloff of the furline. I hope someone does some skins that are along those lines eventually. Still not bought the female pack.
This is true, and I love what he's done.
However, C7 uses any G3 figure/character so the transition has to be able to be applied to any G3. RawArt uses skin on the centaur body texture as well as the coat on the torso texture to get his wonderful transitions. You can use those skin/coat materials on any centaur, but you can't put a centaur body texture with another G3 skin texture and get the same results.
Perhaps some PAs will decide to do an extra torso mat with their new characters, and include a tasteful "happy trail" in a color that looks good with the skin... Maybe we can convince Zevo to add a Centaur Hair option to Skin Builder 3 that allows us to add the happy trail, and a bit of fine hair on the back to help with the transition. For the lady's anyway...
In the meantime, I've used fiber body hair products to make the character more hairy at the transition. Here's one, (posted earlier in this thread,) where I used a G3F skin and Oh My Body Hair on the torso. I let the belly hair overlap the centaur body: The Elder. The transition is actually below his folded hands. If you look closely at the full-size image, you might be able to spot the belly hair.
I used C7 for G3F for an entry in Zev0's SB3 render competition. The last centaur I posted here, Sagittarius, was C7 for G3M using GenX2 to get the female form. It turned out really good, but I had to use clothing that was made for G3M to get the look I was going for. (After wasting hours trying to make something for G3F work with the pose!) This was much easier with Battle Queen for G3F. I hope you guys like it:
Retribution
that's a vey interesting different look/face on her L'Adair
Thank you. I used various morphs, including some from the 200 Plus - Head & Face Morphs for G3F, to give her face a longer, more equine look... longer, more prominent nose; wider mouth; squarer, wider jaw; bigger teeth. And I increased the size of her head a bit, too. I used a bunch of Muscularity morphs to buff her up, too. But I don't think her bulk is obvious in this shot... the angle of the camera conspires with the gloves and shoulder guards to hide most of her arms.
she has a lot of character and personalty and you know she kinda reminds me of Chohole for some reason
so, so, so I'm late to this party, but I did want to get in my render of the creatures of the realm.
Here is my use of Centar 7 Female with a little postwork background. Oh, I used Genesis 3 Female Characters and Wardrobe top work fine.
For some reason i cannot get either the G2F or G2M centaurs to work. This is the Alexi centaur loaded and then rendered:
I cannot apply character MAT files to this at all, although i can change the hide on the horse part. If i load a G3M character first and then the Male Centaur Additive, i get a similar effect. Any suggestions?
EDIT: What i mean is that i can say apply the Dash character mat, but you still get the whiter patches on the skin which appear to be from a second G3M
That definitely looks like you have two figures loaded on top of one another.
What version of Studio are you using? Centaur needs 4.9 to work right otherwise the geoshell shows up and gives the weird effect you are showing
I am using 4.9.1.30 Pro (64 bit) so i don't think that is the problem. I assumed it was something like that, but cannot for the life of me work out how to fix it!
hmmmm can you load just the base centuar? And are you using Iray or 3Delight?
I get exactly the same thing with the base centaur (and female centaur) and whether i use iray or 3Delight.
Are you against updating to the current release of 4.9.3.166? I suspect you need a later version than the one you have installed.
Not at all. I wasn't even aware there was one!
Now, if i can only work out how to get the latest version...
