    Cool,

I'll get round to that eventually, right now I want to see what DS itself is capable of.

I have made lots of nice renders with 3Dlight im just used to the Reality workflow after using it for a year its like I am lost on how to use 3Delight LOL

It'd have to be a really special project for me to want to render it in Reality. The only foreseeable problem will be if I do a really nice figure and use Garibaldi for the hair, Reality won't render Garibaldi hair as it has no geometry.

LOL lots of options nice its like Paolo says in the Rendo thread you can get nice results with 3Delight but to get the best you really have to know how to shade and mix whereas his Reality plugin takes care of all of that for Lux makes sense since I can get nice renders for the most part and you can adjust lighting while rendering and film response works very well.

I've actually started digging into the Shader mixer, and Shader Builder for DAZ, I even have the RenderMan Shader Language Guide which is really informative, and helps explain what some of the more obscure bricks actually are supposed to do. (of course you have to break down the bricks as those are a DAZ convention, 3Delight uses scripts).

Decided to get Kaelyn out of hiding for some more renders. Even with the power of Genesis, there are some things which just haven't been matched yet. Until we get an official K5 or a new Kaelyn morph for Genesis she's still my favourite little girl. I still find myself using her gorgeous texture set on Genesis youths in lieu of having an actual morph, and GenX has failed me in my repeat attempts to convert Kaelyn to Genesis.

Oh well, on with the adorable.

You mentioned that before I just like what I get out of Reality/ Lux

Its all about what works for you. I can also make decent renders in 3Delight but lux gives me that extra humph...

I'm pretty sure later, after i get some sleep, i will look at it and say "WTF!?!"

...interesting...would fit well on the January PC Render Challenge thread.

    Nice work.

I had the idea in my head for a while now but was never quite sure i wanted to work on it, but i decided the other night just to do a test render to see what it would look like and then just went with it.
It's kinda like Sam Kieth's The Maxx meets Silent hill. I had the idea of a Homeless girl thinking she some heroine. But mostly she's just a violent Vigilante.

Haven't had a PC membership for a long while now so not sure what the challenge is but i would imagine it must be pretty weird if that picture would fit lol.

...a little more work with Leela. Now that the Teens5 teeth issue with is fixed I can give her that silly smile. Also playing around with Collision detection, layering the Mall Girl Jacket over the Pullover.

Unfortunately had to use the normal Daz lights (one of my five source + point light setups) as in 4.5.1.16 using any UE lights now crashes the render on my old system.

Used the base Julie skin texture (non HSS) which I feel is a bit too "dark". Wanted to apply the Deborah texture as it is more fair in tone but in the viewport the mapping goes all to heck.

    Fantastic render!

So, how does Look At My Hair differ from Garibaldi? It must create geometry otherwise it wouldn't show up in Reality. It looks like something I'll have to investigate at some point.

    To everyone:

    LOL!

It's always the way, you lot get prolific when I don't get any notifications! Great work too.

I got the Lantios Portrait Lights, Dental Plan and the aging morphs for Genesis from Rendo. I haven't had chance to do anything with them yet as I spent today listening to yesterday's album purchases. I'll see what I can do tomorrow. I will get round to something sometime, promise!

Keep up the good work folks

    CHEERS!
