    I agree she's a big change from G7, but the various versions of The Girl have always been quite different for each generation IMO.

    Sorry if someone already commented on this, but why do the promo pictures for that link say "Aiko 7" and "Aiko 7 for Aiko 8" at the base of what is obviously The Girl 7 and The Girl 8???  Veeeery interestink!

    They probably reused the same promo template and forgot to update the text.

    Couldn't resist playing!!!  Just a very short render...Bestie, playing out in the dandelions, making wishes... wearing the adorb party monster outfit and wild wind hair.

    After I went to add credits I realize Predatron's Dandelions are gone from the store!!!  They are a HUGE favorite of mine.... wonder what happened to it?

    Anyway people show me more Girl renders...  have so much to try out!

    I didn't get that error. No problem overlaying on White base cloth.

    Uh... the weird thing to me is that all the movement dials are from Zev0's Fit Control. At first, I was wondering how/when I applied Fit Control to something I just loaded onto the screen.

    She is rather cute, and I'm glad there's several non-white PA characters for her (would it have killed ya' to include just one in the Pro Bundle though, Daz?). But I'm still partial to The Girl 7 and I have no desire to shell out for the Girl 7 morph, so... I'm going to have to pass for now.

    buy 3 or more addons 20% discount = *0.8 = 42.32

    If you havn't bought any previous gen 8 pro bundles, you wont recieve the banner so wont get its 20% discount, so your final total will be 52.9 with 3 addons.

    This is a very good offer but I am a little bit frustrating.
    My shopping cart shows me $ 72 and I have no banner for the 20 % discount (I have only one pro bundle). crying

    The Girl is one of those figures I've never been inclined to use at 100%.  The large, stylized head never really appealed to me in a photorealistic 3D context.  But the body morph itself at a lower percentage worked pretty well in Genesis 2 and 3 for when I needed a more sexualized character for a shot and Lilith just wasn't working for me (or isn't out yet, fingers crossed).  This Girl... she feels even more toony somehow.  I think its in the base texture, particularly with the eyes and the eye makeup.  I'll have to try one of the other figures to see if that feeling carries over, or the base textures on another figure, but something just seems off to me out of the box.

    I agree; she's The Girl 8, before her was The Girl 7, The Girl 6; not sure which generation was the original 'The Girl'.

    I've only been working with Daz Studio for a few months, so The Girl is relatively new to me. I have Girl 7 via a free bonus bundle some time back, but I haven't used her other than for a little mixing of morphs, I think. I did these two renders for @Novica's review thread NEW! Novica & Forum Members Tips & Product Reviews Pt 11. I really do like her as a base model, but I love what the PA's have added to the mix. I bought a couple of the add on characters and the rest are wishlisted.

    1. This is Hazel for the Girl 8.

    2. This is a 50/50 mix with Dottie for Edie 8.

    Original "The Girl" figure was released during generation 3 days, but she was a totally independant figure not created by Daz. She had a version with V3 UVs so she could work with V3 textures, but that was the only thing she had in common with Daz generation 3 figures.

    The first version of "The Girl" as part of Daz figure line was Girl 4, released as a morph for V4.

    The Original Girl (and Girl 4),even with Modern renders and textures added is not that appealing to me. She looks like a bad Playstation 1 character. If that's your thing, that's fine. However I appreciate the Pixary look Girls 7 and 8 have.

    This image I used Xmorphs,

    The nose is Pretty Base Next Generation 8, the mouth is Karyssa 8, the eyes are Girl 8 dialed in 50%, and the torso is Girl 8, the arms are Sakura 8, and  the legs are Mika 8

    That look is muscle striation is due to dehydration. That's what body builders do before competitions but that isn't the way they normally look. I find that look unhealthy, because it is unhealthy, but it does show off muscle development for competition. 

    As far as art style it looks distracting and unattractive.

    That's silly. It's like asking all adults to leave the planet because there are children on the planet. Being a sexual being but doing non-sexual activities is 95% of our time and more of living life on this planet, even if one is 'extremely beautiful';  so one shouldn't be so quick to make assumptions based on their own preconceptions.

    Didn't realize the original The Girl was such a linebacker until you put them side by side ;) I never really was a huge fan of the figure or the genre, but the latest one is okay :).

    What is attractive art style wise is largely in the eye of the beholder... for example I find many female poses unattractive because of the unnatural bends at the spine but this is a popular look and clearly my view is a minority view amongst pose makers because this style persists.

    Girl 7 is still my favorite, I think she's the perfect refinement of the classic shape. I'm sure the new one will grow on me, and as a Girl fan, it's the first Pro bundle I've bought in Genesis 8.

     

    On a side note, I'm having horrible problems with materials on Girl 7 for Girl 8, I will try reinstalling but it keeps trying to use an unidentified UV.

    Hmmm, I like Girl 7 for the Girl 8 best but it may just pose you have her in there.

    Is $72 the price you are seeing in the cart for the pro bundle when having the 3 addons in there ?

    What price do you see for the pro bundle without the 3 addons ? Do you have pc+ membership ?

    I agree with nonesuch that girl 7 looks best to me but it also could be that her expression looks more natural when her lids are partially down.

    My first image with a Girl 8 character. This one is VYK Midge. I really love the look of the Girl 8. I really like the Razors Edge Outfit, too.
