Its okay, we don't need to agree. We don't have similar tastes or interests in toons, but we don't have to. That's what makes people interesting. How boring if we were all alike.
Sales will speak for themselves, but with deep dish sales triggered by bundle purchases it will be difficult to ascertain whether it is girl or the sale which is sealing the deal with buyers.
As far as the need for a different style of male toon- I don't honestly think we'll agree on that either, but yeah, I do think they could do something different. And no reason we can't have both.
But we all know men's content doesn't sell, so change is unlikely. Since there is only one figure in the lineup that is male (that we know of). We aren't likely to see another male for some time.
If all you are doing is pinups, you probably don't really need a male (or female) counterpart. If you are doing illustrations, though, or anything with a cast list of more than one, you need at least something stylized in a "style" that doesn't clash. Although if you are just using the figures for sources for dial-apinning, that is less of an issue.
I don't know how popular the original Girl was, but the Girl4 morph got used a lot in dial-spinning. Which has only continued, since the dials are much easier to spin nowadays, and there are far more more dials availabe.
I rather suspect that the Freak was intended as the Girl's actual counterpart. They were both exaggerated Toon figures of a very particular kind of retro style. But if there was any real attempt to pair them on DAZ's part, it didn't last. PAs made counterparts for both of them. And eventually (although it took a while) DAZ brought out their own versions.
Yep, my wishlist is the story of my life. Wish I had 'discretionary' income that I could blow on whatever I wanted!!
Support doesn't watch the forums far as I know, and neither Hinky nor I can do anything about sale prices not working- contacting the sales support is the best thing you can do. i hear there are some people also struggling with an incorrect sale price on Girl bundle+add ons, all I can say is to ask support. And also add my empathy- the couple times in the past that has happened to me, I was sooooo impatient!! Hope it gets worked out soon. :)
If internet related, start by clearing cache; most effective and simple enough. If that doesn't work can try other stuff, but is likely a waste of time. Not sure which browser you use; Firefox: Go to Options > Privacy and Security > Cookies and Site Data > Clear Data; the pop up has a couple of options - try just deleting cached data. With Chrome: Open up menu (Top right usually) > More Tools > Clear Browsing Data > again there are various options for deletion, can start with just cached data (images, files etc).
I always wait for sales as a matter of principle; funny last three or four days I've removed from wishlist a lot (not bought), and added few.

I thought last night it just wasn't showing that I purchased the Girl 8 pro bundle, so I waited untio today but still not getting the extra discount and I have P3D morph pak @ 51% off and bestie's place @ 30 % off in my cart, no additional 30 % off for owning Girl 8.

I really appreciated the bonus content offered with this promotion, thank you DAZ!
It definitely helped push me to purchase the Pro Bundle and several Add-ons during the week of release. So many of the other promotions were offering freebies that I owned already, the worst being Daz Horse 2 and all the Starter Bundles I already owned, so this being the first promotion where I could actually get a few things from my wishlist, I actually bought much more than the free limit as a show of support.
While I love stylized 3D toon characters, I was on the fence about this particular Girl 8 release. Personally, I think there's something really strange about the look of her nose, lips, cheeks, and eyes... proportionally, the nose looks too long for The Girl; it hangs very low and is overly rounded off, almost bulbous and lacking contours. The lips are also very uncharacteristically narrow and thin for The Girl, who typically had a very wide set mouth with fuller lips, higher cheekbones and protruding rounded cheeks. This Girl 8 looks like a toned down Aiko 4 American morph with more rounded eyes.
I must say though, the Published Artists are doing great work — I'm definitely grateful for all the great Add-ons available, especially:

Looks great there, but increasing his eyes a little would do it. Guys frequently have more normal eyes I've noticed.
Good film, tough watch at times. Yeh that would be interesting - see how folks protray the deeper meaning in the film.
