Its really not much different to a traditional artist (Or Non-CGI artist) buying paintbrushes, Paper, Paint, Graphite etc. But when you say, "I spent my fun money buying a swamp, hair and some maggots" well, I can see the misconception ;-P

I suppose if I stayed non-specific it'd be easier for a layman to swallow. "I spent my fun money on 3D art supplies for my artwork." is far more digestible...! :gulp:

But not nearly so much fun as seeing the reactions to the specific purchases. :coolsmirk:

    LMAO So true Cho!

I guess one could use the saying "Where's the fun in that?" haha

Ha, I found this weekends movie: "Nude Nuns with Big Guns"!!!

That, some food, and a six-pack should make my Saturday night! :vampire:

I was looking at the remake of "Evil Dead" but from what I see, it's a humorless rip-off gorefest with no soul.. blech.

Besides.. nude nuns, guns.. what else does a movie need?

Maybe you need something to take your mind off it.

How about some good ol' fashioned pen & paper gaming?

Of course you'll need some New Dice :)

Did you know it is not a good idea to heat up your doughnut with the stove specially when it is still in its box and the box is in a plastic bag. Just a thought I had. I did not try it and I do not think anyone would try it I hope.

    KK,

Not sure if you saw this other thread about Light Dome Pro-R (http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/26570/).

It looks like the lights themselves are usable without Photoshop but what the tool is really providing is a set of Photoshop Actions that make doing the post work tweaking easier.

If you check that thread there's a link to a Gizmodo article about getting Photoshop CS2 for free from Adobe. The actual link to the Adobe page is broken but if you scroll through the comments there are direct links to the files themselves so you can download them from Adobe.

Even if you decide you don't want these new lights Photoshop CS2 can be pretty handy even if it is 10 years old now.

On my watchlist for this weekend now! Gotta load up on popcorn and beer!!

VERY BIG none complaint: Due to the fact I'm no longer on Dialysis and that I've lost some body weight, a no no for renal folks, I'm now allowed light sour cream and cheese made from low fat milk as a treat to help add fats/calories to my diet. That part is great. The best part is I'm about to enjoy my first taco salad, minus the guacamole (not allowed), in almost 5 years. I'm so looking forward to it.

YESSSSSSSSS!! Hooray for you, so cool!  :cheese:

at what age do boys, in genera, stop running to greet Dad coming home?

I can still remember running to greet my Dad and him grabbing me up to ride on his shoulders with me whispering in his ear, "Did you bring me anything?"
My Dad's gone now, but he left me with wonderful memories...
To answer your question, I stopped when I got too cool to do it. (about age 11)

I need maggots for the rotting flesh of victims of various monsters! How cool is that? :)

i had a feeling i was portraying a character with too young behavior for a 12yo.

A 12yo boy, generally, would be more interested in clothes shopping than going to the toy store?

Krispy Kreme Original Glazed - stuck in the toaster oven or broiler (removing it from the box and any plastic bags) for about 15 seconds or until the glaze has all carmalized to a nice golden brown.

Don't click that link Misty - it's not good for you.
