critical: minimum safe distance from vending machine. snickers alert. reeses peanutbutter cups. calling, whispering, "misty, eat me"

    reaching critical mass.

3 days w/o candy bar. oh the humanity

Hang in there - you can do it! :)

Wonder if I can add some will-power to the mix. :)

Echoing Wooly... "Hang in there - you can do it!"

I had to suppress and turn off my sweet tooth a long time ago and haven't regretted it, once I was past the initial withdrawal.

I had sugar cravings for about a week bad, then a second week just kind of.. after that even fake sweetener was WAY too sweet! :bug:

Then I got diagnosed diabetic a few months ago and I quit 90% of my bread, 99% of my rice, all fruits, cut back on beer, cut back on booze, and am trying to get back to walking a mile or so a day and hiking on weekends - I need to lose 30lbs! :ahhh:

    It's no joke hard. :-S

    GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MISTY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! :cheese: :cheese:

45 more minutes and I can go! :) I got in at 7:00AM today and got 7 hours in for the day, which is plenty.

Lots of errands to do and I want to get home at a reasonable hour, so I'll be busing it all over North Austin for about 3-4 hours. :blank: Cheaper than a cab, though.

Tomorrow it's a haircut, shoes, and a new phone! :cheese: Then the rest of the day with ZOMBIE NURSE!!! :vampire:

And Sunday... BACON FEAST! I have 2 12oz packages of smoked bacon, oh yeah baby! :cheese:

Back to watching small numbers turn into big ones.. sigh. It's a living.

Did you know it is not a good idea to heat up your doughnut with the stove specially when it is still in its box and the box is in a plastic bag. Just a thought I had. I did not try it and I do not think anyone would try it I hope.

are there sprinkles on the donut?

I do not know. I did not try it. I just heard from someone that they saw someone do something like that. So basically I heard a story from someone about it.

if you had a donut right now, what would it be? jelly, powered, kreller ...

sob, there's no tasty sugar free donut beauties

    one with sprinkles and frosting.

Just watched the promo videos (the 8min one and the 23min one)... not seeing anything there that couldn't be done in GIMP. A similar macro should be possible to load up the various layers...

... heh... when I first saw the product blurb in the store, I thought it was "live adjustments" withIN DS... but reading it carefully shows that no, it's NOT actually doing something fancy like Blender's Cycles preview, it's just "live adjustments IN PS" >_<.</p>

I'm guessing you'd use the GIMP as well, KK?

...I use Both GIMP and PSP X10. However, not into writing macros these days though as I've been out of the coding loop for about twenty years.

Was very late last night when I saw this and wasn't about to sit through nearly a half hour of video between the two.

Realtime rendering adjustments, now there's a feature worth mentioning on the What Would You Like to See in Daz 5? thread.

    Good Mornin :)

the sun will come out tomorrow, come what mayyyy tomorrow tomorrohhhhw

been cloudy here the last couple days. Didn't even crack 70° yesterday (official high was 66° some 15° below the normal for this time of year). However by tomorrrow back in the 80s and Sunday, low 90s. This is usually the hottest month of the year here so in a weeks time things could change in spite of the advanced forecast.

94f right now and heating up still. :-S And in 15 minutes I get to go out in it and run errands for a few hours. :bug:

I have a full water bottle so I won't dry out.. but still.. dang! I just want to go home and chill, but.. need to hit the bank and dump some spare cash on the prepaid card. :-S

I think there's a bank branch that's North rather than South that might be easier to reach.. meh.. but not near a Wal-Mart for the prepaid card.

Daz is getting slow with their new releases. I suspect two things...

Either the the little green alien who handles automatic store uploads/updates for the website is sleeping at his keyboard OR
They switched the store to manual so they can put up Girl6 in person.

Before I got into DAZ, that would have sounded weird. Now it just sounds normal.

The only bad part is trying to explain to your co-workers and online friends why you're not going out.. "Oh yeah, I spent my fun money on some goodies... uhh, 3D models for my art. you know.. uhh.. well, hair, a swamp, and maggots. Yes, maggots. Why are you running away?" :blank:

...yeah I imagine I'd get a few looks at the pub when I mentioned i just picked up an Antonov 225 Mriya for free (see pic below) and going to try it out when I get home.

Seen several zombie movies and games... Almost every profession there is a zombie of it, Lots of zombie dogs too, BUT never seen a zombie Cat in commercial entertainment. I imagine zombie cats would be pretty deadly, Cats have a fury dogs dogs often cant match, seen several cat VS dogs fights, and most have ended with the Dog sulking and backing off. Not to mention Cats are incredibly agile little (Or Big) creatures, and not much they cant climb.

    KK,

Not sure if you saw this other thread about Light Dome Pro-R (http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/26570/).

It looks like the lights themselves are usable without Photoshop but what the tool is really providing is a set of Photoshop Actions that make doing the post work tweaking easier.

If you check that thread there's a link to a Gizmodo article about getting Photoshop CS2 for free from Adobe. The actual link to the Adobe page is broken but if you scroll through the comments there are direct links to the files themselves so you can download them from Adobe.

Even if you decide you don't want these new lights Photoshop CS2 can be pretty handy even if it is 10 years old now.

...just skimmed through the thread. Looks like I'll take it off the wishlist. The original LDP2 was so elegant and simple to use and didn't require going through another application to make it work.

Why do they have to keep making nice useful tools like these only for the overpriced pro grade apps that many of us cannot afford?

    ...bugger.

I'd still recommend grabbing Photoshop CS2 for free. I just downloaded the entire creative suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign among others). Sure it's almost 10 years old now but it's full blown Photoshop and can handle things like this at least.

90% of my photography post work can be handled just by Lightroom which I use mostly as a catalog anyway. Another 5% can be handled in Photoshop Elements and the last bit I can either do without or kludge something together in Gimp. Having CS2 will probably mean I can pull Gimp out of the mix and go to something a bit more industry standard.

It'll also be nice to use the Photoshop bridge for the little bit of texture editing that I currently do.

If you need the direct download links from Adobe I'll be glad to send them to you in a PM.

Home - finally. Missed the bus and had to wait 50 minutes, thankfully I was next to a Target so I got some of tomorrows shopping done today - new shoes and a new phone!!! :)

101f RIGHT NOW, no wonder I was melting! But I have cold beer, and vodka in the freezer chilling, so life is decent.

...nah if it were it would have been raining into July like it did the past couple years. One year we didn't reach 90° until nearly the last weekend in August. According to climatologists, that el nino is over. Just odd that it is so unseasonably cool and cloudy to start what is usually the hottest and driest month of the summer off.

...agh, shouldn't have started that render in the afternoon. Now I have to wait until it's done before I can get out for a while. 2hrs23 minutes and still have 13% to go.

I can't believe that 33 flutterbys and a few plants would slow it down that much.
