Home - finally. Missed the bus and had to wait 50 minutes, thankfully I was next to a Target so I got some of tomorrows shopping done today - new shoes and a new phone!!! :)

101f RIGHT NOW, no wonder I was melting! But I have cold beer, and vodka in the freezer chilling, so life is decent.

Now to get some Joe Bonomassa to listen to, and kick back! :cheese:

    TY for coffeee *slurps*

...agh, shouldn't have started that render in the afternoon. Now I have to wait until it's done before I can get out for a while. 2hrs23 minutes and still have 13% to go.

I can't believe that 33 flutterbys and a few plants would slow it down that much.

Transmaps? Those slow 3Delight WAY down. :-S

...well there is also something like 16 of Lisa B's plant sets, some of Pedatron's Grass tiles, as well as a couple tree backdrops from Ecomantics.

...and Leela, but don't think she's the cause.

Well, if you're using clones and not instance, you have serious material bloat.. each entity will have it's own texture RAM (geometry is negligible).. so you could be swapping to HD and not realize it. Check the performance monitor and look at working set size.

I've seen one entity cloned turn into 30GB of texture on a 12 GB system.. swap hell.. slower than a salted slug. :blank:

VERY BIG none complaint: Due to the fact I'm no longer on Dialysis and that I've lost some body weight, a no no for renal folks, I'm now allowed light sour cream and cheese made from low fat milk as a treat to help add fats/calories to my diet. That part is great. The best part is I'm about to enjoy my first taco salad, minus the guacamole (not allowed), in almost 5 years. I'm so looking forward to it.

    Congratulations, Jaderail!

As long as they don't kill her character.
No Zony then, I guess.

No! They can't do it! It will change the whole balance of the team.

And nothing says they can't have Tony still involved with her. We just won't see it. I hate it when actor/actresses get into a role that lets them shine, and then they decide they want more and leave. I don't know if that's what happened, though.

Good morning, TGIF and all that! Can't wait for the weekend!

    COMPLAINTS! :snake:
    - Insane nightmares all night :ahhh:
    - Accomplished nothing useful last night
    - Going to be stupid hot and I have errands to run after work
    - Shoulders hurt like heck
    - Fussy tummy

    Non-complaints:
    - Ton of beer at home so no beer shopping needed
    - More vacation money on prepaid card this evening!
    - New cell phone and shoes this weekend, and a haircut! ;coolsmile:

Other than that, hoping to work on Zombie Nurse this weekend, as well as get WAR VIXEN into the tentacle eyeball forest. I need to learn best practices for creating and storing characters as I need to do this for all my illustrated serials. :-S

Protip: microwaving an already-fried veggie burger turns it into the toughest rubber. Do not do. :blank:

    KK,

Not sure if you saw this other thread about Light Dome Pro-R (http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/26570/).

It looks like the lights themselves are usable without Photoshop but what the tool is really providing is a set of Photoshop Actions that make doing the post work tweaking easier.

If you check that thread there's a link to a Gizmodo article about getting Photoshop CS2 for free from Adobe. The actual link to the Adobe page is broken but if you scroll through the comments there are direct links to the files themselves so you can download them from Adobe.

Even if you decide you don't want these new lights Photoshop CS2 can be pretty handy even if it is 10 years old now.

Oh, man...I'm 10 years behind now? I haven't been able to upgrade it for quite a while. I started with Photoshop 7 from a magazine CD, then upgraded to Photoshop CS, then upgraded to Photoshop CS2. But can't spend the money anymore. But it does more than I have ever had the time or energy to learn anyway.

Did you know it is not a good idea to heat up your doughnut with the stove specially when it is still in its box and the box is in a plastic bag. Just a thought I had. I did not try it and I do not think anyone would try it I hope.

are there sprinkles on the donut?

I do not know. I did not try it. I just heard from someone that they saw someone do something like that. So basically I heard a story from someone about it.

if you had a donut right now, what would it be? jelly, powered, kreller ...

sob, there's no tasty sugar free donut beauties

Dunkin' lemon filled with the chocolate frosting. Can't find those very often anymore, mostly they have the powdered sugar on them. But sometimes you can find them.

Google for "antonov 225 mriya free" - it's a fairly odd set of words - skipping the models on ebay and the one in wood, you'll find it.

@ Misty: I feel your pain, not like I did in the old days but... I was the KING of M&M's in my day. I was never out of M&M's for, oh, I'll say years... Then boom it all changed...

No Chocolate, M&M's, Kisses, Hersey Bars, Thin Mints, Milky Ways, nothing, none, nada. Same for Ice Cream, I was a Rocky Road, Turtle Tracks, Moose Tracks, Chunky Monkey, Fudge Ripple sort of guy. That all went too. I'll not LIST all the foods, deserts, fruits and snacks that suddenly went from all I wanted to ZERO in one fell swoop.

It's been almost 5 years now so I do not CRAVE things anymore but I do miss things, to me a small bag of plain old potato chips and a small real Coke-a-Cola is a HUGE treat! Those are enough to toss my numbers, renal, for fits if I do more than one a week.

Really though to me it was Stop or hurt my health in a very large way, I'm fine with it now. And I have developed some real willpower to boot.

...but they (the flutterbys) look so much better than using the "Swarm" option as I get none of the fringing effect that occurred with the low res versions. The final render took 3hrs and twenty one minutes, the file size in memory was 7.8 GB before rendering.
