I'm a little jealous of everyone else making their stories and stuff come to life with their renders, while I'm just sitting here daydreaming about mine but never doing anything

I wouldn't be able to recreate some of my dragons with the Mil3 I don't think... Well, not accurately at any rate. Rezca actually I think I could probably get close, with some additional modifying on my part, but he'd be missing a toe on his hindlegs.
Pft, and then there's other dragons that are important to the lore in my world and stories, but I haven't really thought much about what they look like! *flails*

Like... Jiri! My magic-eating dragon I put so much thought and love into making, and I only have a *vague* idea of what she looks like! ><

And that's just the dragons. There's people and things too, and places? ><
Though I don't think many would be interested anyway. We've got Fyre as the resident storyteller so :)

Anyways. Spent a little more time on my drag... I mean dinosaur, today. Started on them feet :)
Though I made a pretty big mistake by putting in one too many joints during the mesh creation process. Five instead of four. Eep, dunno how I'll go about fixing that mistake hah.

It can be just a genetic anomaly!

    Dana

Ehh a pretty major one, that I don't really feel comfortable with keeping around.

Putting in one too many joints would be about as silly as putting in one too few I think hehe.
Pretty much a human like leg setup there in the lower corner heh, three poses instead of four. Dinosaurs walked on their toes, so if you knocked down the number of pivots from four to three you'd pretty much have how our legs work :) Their heels are always up in the air and not on the ground like ours our. We have such boring feet!

    Monday smiled on us :)

...not on my boys, Croatia lost 3 -1 to Mexico, a team they have been good against in the past (and which until today only scored one goal in the entire tournament) . Compared to the two last matches (including the loss to Brazil on Brazil's home field) , Croatia looked completely lackluster today. No getting 4 - 5 men around the ball, several chances to intercept a pass and create a fast break completely wasted by just standing around and not charging the ball, and completely giving up after the first goal by Mexico.

To add insult to injury, Rebic got hit with a red card late in the match for what amounted to a very "creative" flop by the Mexican player he was defending.

    Leela is not happy.

There will no doubt be riots back in Zagreb after this.

They really need to rein in the "flop" situation in international footy. At least the NBA fines players for doing so (though that fine could be a lot stiffer than 5,000$ for what those guys make).

Because we don't normally walk on our toes doesn't mean we can't. We still have that ability. We're just more stable with the heel down. We don't have a big tail to help with balance and stability.

Mmm guess I explained that poorly... When I was talking about the 3/4/5 joints, I was referring to setting them up in modeling or drawing out a 'skeleton' for... well... Drawing :)

Generally, I don't see people recommending four points for human legs because the foot starts where the third point ends, like dinosaurs (And many dragons) generally only need four points since the foot/toes will branch off the fourth point. I ended up putting five points in since I ... Mis-estimated how much geometry I'd need. I'm pretty sure I can remove geometry, but I'd need to do so before I go and put in too much detail and stuff.

As the last update for a while, I worked on the feet and arms a bit, as well as minor touch-ups around the body.
Heh, all this and as my second sculpt ^^ If I were a more experienced Zbrush'er, I'm pretty sure I could make a faithful recreation of the figurine I'm basing this off of :)

    'Happy' Monday all!

Tuesday here, Monday was good, you should enjoy it

Hasn't been so good for me so far...except I watched the season premier of Falling Skies!

    Other than that, meh.

    Dana

Spent the afternoon in physical therapy (for my injured shoulder)... they say it is *definitely* a rotator-cuff injury, but unsure how severe. Lots of 'fun' and now I am in a great deal of discomfort (and that is after painkillers *and* anti-inflamatories... joy)

    Fond memories :cheese:

out of the old/old thread crowd, i think i miss wayii the most.

I miss Wayii, Nanobot, Xaa... several others (though hard to remember their userids)

    (sigh) and Jasmine...

    (sigh)

just spent 5 or so minutes trying to clean a small streak off my flat-screen... no joy - then noticed it was almost perfectly straight and vertical and start freaking that a whole line of pixels had gone out in the middle of my frakkin' screen!!

... then happen to bump the mouse and it moved

    /facepalm

    /double-handed-facepalm

it was the mouse cursor 'auto switching' to the 'text bar' as I was typing in the previous post.

please contain your laughter - I am in enough pain already!

Sorry to hear that. I hope it gets better soon. My wife had a rotator cuff injury. She had to go to therapy and do some exercises at home, too, after the therapy was ended. It took a little while but it healed.

...never thought of Australia as a place for snow.

Also checked the link to the other article about the snow. So is this the official means for measuring snow depth?
