Non-complaint: Wheee... my CPU ordered through Ebay for my unwanted motherboard has arrived from Israel. Two weeks early! It seems to be new in the original sealed box. It's an AMD Ryzen 5 1400. Yeah, it's an old design and has issues with some RAM but it was cheap. Especially in today's market. Now I have enough parts (everything except the bling**), so I can start putting the system together when I get ambitious. Wheee..., fun time. Bling can wait.
What remains to be seen is how well the CPU plays with my RAM on hand. I'm hoping it does work, or can be made to work, at least functionally if not at the fastest.
*Bling: The case is a CoolerMaster "Masterbox NR-400" microATX, tempered glass side window. So "bling" would be more lights than on the motherboard. I have a single string of LED lights that could be moved to the new machine, and someday when it gets a proper graphics card or better RAM I could add some with LED bling on them. "Bling" might also be considered a WiFi dongle or card, or a LED equipped cooler to replace the stock cooler.
non complaint
oatmeal raisin cookie, soft n chewy
Happy Birthday, Faeryl Womyn!!!
i'm trying to decide if i want to "return" a pair of stockings that i bought on sale. I just realized that I have lots of stockings that Genesis 2 can use. The stockings that i bought only cost $5 me so i might keep it.
I don't want to go to the store but I really need gauze for the rash on my hands.
Dobby loves socks
Happy Birthday, Faeryl Womyn. Hope you have a great day.
non complaint. 4pm is not too early for tequila
It's quarter to midnight here
Who's Doctor Tomorrow?... Sounds like a Bond villain or some time traveling Marvel madman... I really hope anyone who visits Dr.Tomorrow gets good news... it seems really scary for everyone if they don't...
I've had many kidney stones over the years and your doctor, Doctor Yes (also sounds like a Bond villain, just slightly more positive), was right about the water and the calcium... there are other health conditions that could form calcium stones, but mostly it's because of a problem with out of balance calcium, and oxilates found in some foods... bad chemical reactions in the body with these oxilates creates the calcium oxilate stones... high intakes of protein, salt and sugar, along with a high oxilate intake and dehydration can accelerate stone formation.
Recently there has been some correlation between osteoporosis in women and the formation of kidney stones... also phosphoric acid in carbonated beverages has recently been linked to both osteoporosis and kidney stone formation, so it's a good idea to avoid that too...
For me giving up soda made a huge difference.
I didn't want to recommend drinking too much water, without knowing if it's kidney stone because a doctor once diagnosed a friend's illness as a kidney stone and told them to drink a lot of water and that made them worse... But when one is certain it's a kidney stone, drinking lots of water is pretty much the only way to flush it out.
I feel a little cheated... my doctors all have boring names... no Dr. Tomorrow or Dr. Yes... a friend of mine actually went to a dentist named Franklin Stein when we were kids... I once saw a Dr. Khan, but his first name was Vinod or something boring like that... I wanted Genghis or Wrathof.
Oh well.
But I digress... since today is your birthday and you said you are looking for fishes to wish you happy birthday, please accept this recycled birthday greeting I made for Miss Bad Wolfie a while ago... (which I really hope I posted on her birthday back then and didn't just upload to the images thread and forget about it)...
Birthday wishes from a fish...
Sorry it's recycled... Maybe next time I'll make a cod or a herring for your birthday...
Does this help?
Thats why I always have some googly eyes handy...
If you have Photoshop, or some image editing program, I have this on my ShareCG collection...

Basically it has this...
Its everything one needs to stay sane...
Just take photos of random celebrities, politicians, coworkers or complete strangers and "googly-eye" them.
Complaint: The rice was tasteless. I had to add soy sauce and teriyaki to make it edible. Additionally, the store was out of the good gauze (which is antibacterial, doesn't stick, and is the perfect size). So I got a different type instead. Welp, got home and went to change my bandages only to find that the new stuff is too small and definitely sticks. So now I'm off to return the unopened boxes and to go store hopping until I find better gauze. To top things off, rush hour is rapidly approaching. I HATE rush hour.
@Faeryl Womyn
Well Happy Birthday.
Ironically, if the gauze is called a nonstick pad, one side of it will have adhesive. Whatever. The antibacterial gauze at Fed Meyer was more than double what it cost at Walmart, but at least it was in stock. Hopefully, my day will get better now. Time to start laundry and settle down with a book.
+1

i started a render thread for bums and buns lol
...och. got home a bit late to do a proper "birthday card" (and it's been sizzling hot and hiumid here so no rendering for now) so Happy B'Day (or Belated B'day, depending on what time zone you are in) Faeryl Womyn.
...suddenly it's summer here, hit 95° today will be 91° tomorrow. Still in the mid 80s and uncharacteristically muggy for here at 21:45 Left Coast time No nice evening breeze tonight.
So stifling in fact in the flat that I actually got something to put in the nuker for dinner as I didn't want to heat the place up even more.
Thank you all for the birthday wishes and yes I feel much better today, because of all you and today the sun is out and the temps are in the low 70's
McGyver thanks for all that info about kidney stones. My mother and grand mother had osteoporosis, both due to a lack of calcium growing up since it was not known how important that was for people back then. Luckily my growing years had that information, not a big milk drinker though, however I'm a cheese nut and always eating it, as well as other foods rich in calcium, when I can afford it. Unfortunately I am a saltaholic, even though I have drastically cut down, I still use too much. Thanks to coffee I do tend to get dehydrated, another reason to increase water consumption.
If you think Dr's names can be funny, my daughter has a friend who's last name was Dyck, her fathers name was Harry and he was a lawyer...lol Imagine being in court with a client with the name Harry Dyck...lmao
you ever feel so tired it;s like being a deep well?
nt breajfast us sap crackling and popping at me.
the krisipie elves related to the keebler elves. family picnics must be sweet
...yep and it is happening more and more. Of course at times when I like to leave my window open overnight it doesn't help when someone outside feels the need to fire up a loud obnoxious leaf blower at around 06:15 in the morning.
