my w/l down to 15. my rendo list empty now.

i'm finding the new stuff mostly boring.  dunno what it is,

mike 8.1 was exciting and then it just fizzled after that.

the flutterby on the nose was cute, but not enough to buy it.

I got my wishlist down to 460 but attempts to reduce it further have been met with strong internal resistance.

...my W/L unfortunately went the other way (seeing new Stonemason stuff does that to me).

Pretty much feel the same about a lot of of the new stuff (save sets and props and some clothing if it isn't sxclusive to G8.1).  Not even considering G8.1. Only have a few G8s and then just the really "unique" ones. (don't need yet another Vicky, Mike, Josie, Girl  etc).  Crikey, I never even bothered with AIko7 as she's ceased being that cute anime character (did pick up on the Kieko 6 pro bundle for 1.99$ though)..

Oh, speaking about flutterbys on the nose....

I admire the restraint with the wishlists... mine has peaked past 1000, and the rendo one is past 500 now crying

...mine is up to 415 items. from about 380 before the sale and I've moved some items off of it.

Oh and to make matters worse, just got an email that Rendo is doing their semi annual 50% off the entire store sale which will last until end of day Wednesday.  As if we need anything more to make our bank cards go into hiding.

Crap, I got a phone call on my cell saying crappy stuff like if I don't talk to them (who ever they are) they will do legal action against me. Whatever! I hung up on them.

You're being more kind than me.  I push all phone callers to voicemail if they're not recognized by my contacts list.

I haven't had to answer anybody selling me a car warranty for almost a year now.  devil

I stand in awe. My wishlist is where I let my inner hoarding demons reign supreme. I'm afraid to look but I think I might have some Millinneum 3 items there.

i could toss my tea into the harbor in protest, but is too expensive to waste.  my tea comes from Ireland, nothing to do with gas prices.

From Ireland?surprise  Oh, must be a green tea.  Are Leprechauns involved in any way in its production or contents?devil

Leprechauns are too busy working outsourced jobs previously held by Keebler elves.

Well, I was a bit worried for the Leprechauns after their last gig at "Lucky Stars".  Glad to hear that they are OK.  But now that begs the question, where have the Keebler Elves gone? What exactly are the contents of that green tea?surprise

Because, of a couple of reasons.  Dry air is a thermal (as well as electrical) insulator but moist air conducts heat (and electricity) better, The thermal conductivity is why you feel colder in damp cold air and hotter in humid hot air.  Also because evaporating sweat carries away heat, and in moist air your sweat doesn't evaporate as fast as it does in drier air.enlightened

However, there are limits.  If you notice your skin turning black and falling off in chunks, it's advised to step away from the fire once the ropes burn through.indecision

...well these last few days have had one good effect, they totally convinced me to never live in the Desert Southwest.

Our humidity was in the low to mid 20s so it was still relatively dry..  However, any breeze or wind actually felt hotter than when it was calm. Like I mentioned it was as if I was standing say, 20 feet behind a jet fighter with its engines running.

I shudder to think about this phenomenon happening in regions like the Great Lakes where the humidity can be as high as 80% this time or year (currently what Milwaukee is expereincing today but it's raining there right now).  That 115° here yesterday had a "real feel" (heat index) of 123° F.  In Phoenix where the humidity is about 10%, the heat index would actually feel lower at 110°.  In Milwaukee where the average humidity for June is around 65%  it would feel like 210°, basically, "lethal".

During the European heat wave of 2003 where Paris recorded a high of 112° and multiple days of temperatures 99° or higher, over 15,000 people succumbed.  The average humidity there in June is about 75%. so the heat index would have been above the boiling point.

I saw my doctor today. Her scale weighed me at x pounds. I just weighed myself and it showed I weighed y ponds. X-y is about 10 pounds. Weird?

    Possible reasons:

    1) You weighed yourself at home, naked, dry, and empty.

    2) You had a big lunch before seeing the doctor and have since vomited it up.

    3) You've taken a big dump somewhere between the doctor and home.

    4) Somebody needs their scales calibrated.

    5) Your doctor's office is located directly over a small piece of a Neutron Star underground.

    I'm going with #s 1, 2, 3 or 4 or all of the above except #5.

Or possibly you forgot that you removed the 10 pound ham that you had secreted on your person.

Scary thought:  If you want to envision what 10 pounds of fat looks like, imagine three and a third cans of Crisco spread all over your body.

...well they sort of botched up on the Charger making it a 4-door.  The original 1960s - early 70s models were a 2-door coupe like the Challnger.  The 1966 model (frist rpoduction year) was even cooler but hard to find one these days.

I'm trying to learn Unreal Engine, so I'm watching a tutorial, but it's way too basic. I'm half an hour in, and despite learning a couple things particular to the way UE operates (like keyboard shortcuts), he's only telling me how to do things that someone who has any experience at all working in 3D already knows.

Wait a minute...that forecast says it's going to precipitate Coronavirus on Thursday.  It's either that or Thursday has been renamed to "Coronavirusday".  I'm quite sure I don't want either option!

Yikes, life is quickly becomming both the "rock" AND the "hard place", isn't it?

Non-complaint: I love waking up to a cold energy drink. Had pizza for brunch. The hubs is helping a friend get ready to move, so while it sucks not having the car, it's nice and quiet here. Also, the temps are so much better today. Thank goodness~!

Miss Bad Wolfie: Your toes are pretty short. I actually like them better that way, but other people tease me about mine because they are stubby. Love your feet! Unless you have a fungus or something. Then get that sh*t checked out.

...bugger, a bit miffed at Amazon.  Ordered the dual in-window fan set I wanted on Saturday (am a Prime member).  The delivery date I was given was stated as being Tuesday (today).  Checked the tracking and it hasn't even shipped,.  Worse, when I looked at the order invoice it now says "not in stock" and I'm getting a new delivery date of Friday.  I thought you could only set up a reminder when the item you were looking to purchase was not in stock.

While the worst of the weather is over (for now) it's taking time for everything here to cool down (and it was still in the mid 90s today).

Ooh, ooh, the '66 Charger.  I remember from that same era, the Plymouth Barracuca.  Very swept back rear area.  My first year college roomate had a red Barracuca like that.  I remember our late night runs in it to the local donut shop while studying.

For some reason, the mid '60s went all pointy for a while.indecision

Edited to add:  I finally remember what they called that car style, a "Family Fastback".  All the rage for a year or two.
