Get well soon!
Dana
Thank you.
If it keeps to the pattern I have about 2 days more left.
More bugger. I was POSITIVE I had RawArt's texture set for Digi-I's Mosasaurus but turns out? Nope. :(
Got Biguana, Trex, Wyvern... But no Mosa... Much sads.
...wish I had Biguana, he was vaulted.a while back.
Vaulted means 'Gone forever' or 'Until they feel like renewing it'?
Not completely out of existance. If you had previously purchased it you can still download it from your product library
Although it could, the vaulted items don't seem to ever come back for sale.
@leathergryphon I hope you feel better sooner than you think.
Yeah, like the Elasmosaurus figure... That disappeared before Digital-I did ^^;
Mmng, impossible to find certain 'classics' again I guess, if you weren't lucky enough to get them when you could :(
...had a loverly day today. Went down to the local coffee shop got an Americano and sat outside enjoying the comfortable "interlude" before the weekend after which I did a bit of grocery shopping for the weekend. Finally cooled down enough so I could cook something more elaborate so made a batch of my curry chicken which will last a couple more days.
Slept great Wednesday night and looking forward to more of the same tonight before it becomes sweltering again.
We've already had more than twice the usual number of 90+ days we get here for the entire summer and August just started.
Complaint: Weather forecasts... They promised it would rain cat and dogs today, starting at 8AM... It's 9:28AM now and the sun is shining without a cloud in the sky...
That's a good thing. A 10 or 20 pound mammal falling from the sky could kill if it hits you.
Non-Complaint: My fever was down from 102F to 101F in the middle of the night and I feel somewhat better this morning. At least I don't feel like I'm going to pass out while going upstairs. Although it was one hell of a night. Had to get up every half-hour to urinate a few more drops. I went to bed before 7:00 last night and got up about 2:00 AM, came downstairs and watch an episode of Perry Mason (the old B/W ones from the '50s). About 3:00 I went back to bed and didn't have to pee till I got up. Wheee...(pun intended)
I'm still not well. Extremely fatiqued, and short of breath. I'm always short of breath, but this is worse.
Thank you.
Not really a promise. Just a suggestion as to what the weather might be.
The weather's fickle like that. Last year - or was it the year before? - it was the middle of summer, middle of a heatwave, and there was nobody promising nor suggesting rain. We got a cloud 'o rain that passed over us pouring down for the afternoon anyway. Of course it also brought some thunder with it, which also started a fairly big fire in the countryside but it didn't spread as rapidly as it could have since the area got doused with rain too so it wasn't super dry and parched so count your blessings / look at the bright side?
Unrelated to weather, second horrid night of sleep in a row ack. At least I got more than two hours like last night, but it was still bad enough to cause me to sleep in and still feel tired as all goodness :(
....good to hear you are a bit on the mend. Still hoping this passes for you soon.
I had a good laugh earlier today... I just found out there are such things as "DAZ Coins"... apparently you buy them and use them towards asset seats for the Enterprise Licensing system... that, and you need to pay a "one time set-up fee" before you even purchase them.
Honestly, my brain is boggled by the reasoning behind this mechanism and the lack of a clear explanation as to why this is a thing... it smells a bit like crypto, but since I have to fill out a form to "get started" on my Enterprise Licensing to get further information, I'm guessing I'm going to have to guess on that whole deal because I'm not going to purchase any enterprise licenses...
I've got lots of questions about that...
- Can DAZ Coins be used in parking meters?
- Can I use Chucky Cheese dollars to buy DAZ Coins?
- What famous person is depicted on the coin?
- Can they be flipped easily to settle a dispute?
- Are they collectible and guaranteed to go up in value based on the value of the precious metal they are minted from?
- Do they come with an attractive display case?
- Who came up with this idea?
Fun times.
Wonderful. I thought I was done with this nonsense but now it's back: Mesh isn't aligned with the rigging and touching anything sends it back off to some point in space away from the joints themselves even though I've told it "Bind to this spot", and it somehow manages to ignore Undo and even reloading an older file it does the same thing. I was irritated before but this is getting to angery now :/
The body's default pose is meters into the air there. If I change it in any way, like making it lower down, the geometry itself will zip back over there away from the joints themselves. "Set Deformed Mesh" is supposed to bind any and all deformations as the new default state and position when a rig is in its neutral pose. I do that, and click reset pose... Everytrhing's fine. But if I close the file and re-open it, this is what I'm greeted with. It'll also happen if I move the axis center of any of the objects involved, or store the content in the Content/Asset Browser and re-load it.
Really?
Heads DAZ wins, Tails you lose!

Laugh about it, talk about it, when you've got to choose...

Hnm, may have by some random chance found the answer or at least fixed the model problem.
The Pose Morph tag. Which is what lets it blink, open its beak, etc..
Deleting that and the "Mesh won't stay in place" problem stops entirely and so far hasn't come back after multiple tests thus far. My guess then with this new information is that the 'Base Pose' was somehow making it revert to that at any given chance. So one hurdle overcome, unless it breaks again right after I post this :')
Now there's just the matter of getting those pose/morph's back; probably will have to do them by hand now since I'm not seeing any way to modify the (locked?) Base Pose but at least there's only three of them to remake.
I made spaghetti tiponight. It was mixed with new sauce and frozen old sauce. The old sauce was too spicy for me so I put water in it. I think a tad too much water. I got a bowl of spaghetti ready for me to eat, as I thought, but it is too hot. Might want to check it again in a few minutes.
Complaint: Well, I new it was too good to be true. My fever's down but now I have considerable blood in my urine.
Non-complaint: So, I made a call to my urologist at 2:00 and got an appointment for 3:45. Practically nobody in the waiting room, Doctor gave me a prescription for an antibiotic (Cipro) to take for a week. A culture of my urine sample won't be ready until Monday, but I hope this weekend that the Cipro knocks out whatever infection is going on and its nothing more serious
Complaint: Just the exertion of going to the doctor, completely tuckered me out.
Best of wishes to you and those working to find a solution
Words online can only do so much, but we'll be thinking of you for sure!
Spaghetti Tiponight?...
Tiponite, aka Element 128 on the periodic table (well, not yet) is an extremely rare "quantum metalloid" that's not even found on earth, it's used to plate transitional vanes on artificial gravity arrays...
But I suppose if you were to plate raw spaghetti with Tiponite, you could induce a flux induction flow for a short period of time... long enough to get to a repair shop and buy a new array panel.
Thats brilliant.
That should be on one of those Five Minute Crafts videos like the one where the person sticks an airplane wing back on with hot glue and hamburger buns... maybe that wasn't the best example, but it's really annoying when you lose artificial gravity because the transitional vanes detached and that's a great quick fix.
Thank you.
At least a burden has been removed by knowing that, for now, I've done the right thing and there's nothing more I can do until Monday, except take my antibiotic.
Now I'm off to bed early, I'm just tuckered out.
Best wishes from me too, I hope it's not painful at least.
Ow, that doesn't sound great... Sorry I didn't see your post earlier... I hope it's nothing serious.
I want to say something humorous to cheer you up, but I'm betting you are too tired to deal with levity at the moment... also I'm not that funny today... well, smelling and looking, but not with the jokes and general jocularity.
Feel better and don't over exert yourself.
In the meantime I'll work on some bladder and bloody urine jokes for when you are feeling better.
There really isn't a lot one can do with that material, so don't expect much.
Anyway... get well soon LG.
Get well soon - Cipro is heavy duty stuff, should take care of it!
doctor couldn't find anything wrong with my lungs after looking at the x-ray. I guess I have some pain in the shoulder and armpit area for some strange reason.
I hope the rest and the medicine do the trick and you're much better in the morning!
