    so yeah no indicator heart

I'm sorry for your loss heart

Our boy - Tom ended up in a (sort of) similar situation (although there was no mention of a stroke) as your Felix. Although the vet said that "he had lost his cognitive abilities", they never said how or why that happened. I had to syringe feed him. But I had to learn by myself, as our vet wasn't helpful at all. We lost him back in 2009, but I've shouldered a lot of guilt since.

Thanks to everyone who replied about the mouse thing. My jaw hit the floor when I saw the mention of an $80 mouse. I'll have to check some UK sites to see if there are mice for sale around that price (which will have to wait until tomorrow). Now that we've got a (practically feral) kitten, I'll need one that can bounce ^^'

...well now it's Thursday night and my bank card still hasn't arrived.  it has now been 8 days since I ordered it.  The basic delivery time via "Snail" is supposed to be 3 - 5 business days which should have made it Tuesday however, not wanting to wait that long, I ordered express shipping and was told it would arrive in 2 - 3 days (Saturday) which sould have shipped FedEx or UPS 2nd day, never got a tracking or edlivery notice from either so it probably went via normal "DeJoy Delivery" (they have a norotious habit with holding items at distribution stations for a couple days before putting them out for delivery).

I only withdrew enough last wednesday to make it through the weekend in case there was any delay that would have pushed it to Monday.

So much for the latest stackup deal and flash sales. Hope it comes by tomorrow as my Net bill's autopay is due which uses the card not my account and routing number.

Need to call the bank in the morning to find out what's up.  This is the first time I've had this much trouble receiving a replacement card.

I went to Michael's with a $25 e gift card.  I picked out a bunch of Halloween stuff.   I got to the register.  I told cashier I only had 26 and change to pay it.  My order total came up to $28.44 which was $1.61 cents over the amount I had plus the virtual gift card.  At the same time my case manager was calling me with housing info. The cashier had difficulty getting the gift card to work.  By time the store manager got the gift card to work, it was forgotten that I had to choose an item to remove to afford the order.  By this time, it was too late to remove anything.  The cashier took out her visa and paid the amount due.

now I need to find time to paint my Halloween stuff (that can be painted,

I started working again. When I had my mystery illness a while back, I was out of work for a month, and after I recovered (to the extent that I have), they only called me in once in mid-July. I was starting to get the impression that they had just soft-fired me, but I just worked two days straight, so the lull must have been at least in part because of the summer.

...well finally got my new bank card a week and a half later.

The whole situation was a total screw up as apparently it was sent UPS Next Day delivery last Friday, but UPS failed to send me an email with the tracking number and then dropped the ball again not sending me an arrival notice like they normally do.  As it turned out arrived on Monday afternoon and was sitting in a common room in my building since then. Building management did not inform me either (another dropped ball).  They used to keep packages in the office and would notify us when something arrived (we also had to sign for it was well), however, a couple years ago they changed the policy having packages kept in the common room (actually the building's workout room).  Since this change there have been numerous package thefts (which is what I thought may have happened to mine).

I already lodged a complaint wit h UPS for not emailing the usual notifications and will do the same with out building's management company (corporate landlord) requesting that they not only have a secure place for package deliveries that is not used for other purposes, but also go back to notifying  tenants when a shipment arrives either by phone or email.

What a rough evening. Tired, feeling sick, stomach pains, "sulphur burps", I've got the smell of smoke up my nose - Among other things.

I also burnt my mouth with my toothpaste (I feel asleep while cleaning my teeth last night).

Urgh. I've got stuff to do, but I just don't know where to start.

I wish finding a Iray hair shader equivalent to my obj's maps was easier.

Is DIM broken? I've got to go through my entire Product Library, and manually search for certain content in order to be able to download it.

    I want my bed :(....

Yes, the store seems to be supplying bad order data values which ar wrecking the sort order using those at least. Daz is aware.

Do I have Poser currently installed?  Or did I uninstall it?

Converting these base maps to opacity maps is becoming REAAAAAAAALLY tedious. There a just so many things to separate. I make one thing disappear, but it'll also affect something else - that I don't want to be transparent.  *unimpressed sigh*

....was bored so I decided to do a preliminary test of Leela using G8F  Don't have all the utilities and resource content like I have for G3, however there is a much wider variety of shapes than previous generations including one that tend to make a nice base for creating younger characters with more petite physiques and bust lines without distortion.  Tried a couple different bases and mixes finally settling on the Amelia character for Eva 8 as the base with a couple extra morphs/ shapes mixed in.

Still needs a bit of refining though I think it's a good start.

I thought about entering that contest, but then I remembered I don't do contests... I don't even follow contests, especially contests that involve creativity.
I virtually never agree with the results and it just makes me question my relationship with humans.
It's not that I think I should win... (I should always, but that's besides the point), it's that when I see the other entries, the one that looks the best or makes the most sense never wins... I see the winner and I'm like "Whaaa?... Why the fluckrunckles, did that win and that other one didn't even make third?"...

I'm not talking about DAZ, just contests as a whole... it's too much stress... I prefer to remain in the dark as to what motivates human people as to what is attractive or valuable... Like before social media when everyone who is crazy kept it to themselves, only occasionally blurting out some nonsense at work when other people would be discussing the news... like something would occur and people would be like "Did you hear about that thing yesterday and everyone would be like "oh yeah, that was terrible..." but there would be that one guy who is a little odd who would go "yeah, it was the space donkeys and the Illuminati who planned that, it was obvious all along because the New England Patriots beat the Steelers by three points the other day and since Mac Jones wears a size 12 shoe and it was on the 18th and if you compare the numbers 3-12-18 with the results of the Des Moines, Iowa lottery, you see that 3-12-18- are the first three numbers in the winning lottery, for that day, with the entire sequence being 3-12-18-71-16, and 71°16'2.79" W 42°5'33.72" N are the coordinates of Patriot Place shopping center, the former home of the New England Patriots it really just spells it all out..."

Back they, it'd just be that guy and everyone would be like "oh... uh... okay..." and kinda ignore it and pretend they understood... everyone else would seem normal because they wouldn't let on if they were crazy too... but now with social media that guy would have 10,000 followers and the rest of the people in the conversation would all have competing theories involving octopus or jello or something equally fricken stupid and insane and you'd be in the middle of that shiznit, flabbergasted by how insane you are now aware everyone else is because social media allowed everyone to say the quiet part loud and the sane part not at all...

Thats what contests are like for me... one more reason to doubt the sanity of human people.

    That and I hate deadlines.

We used to do that when I visited my mom on Saturdays, but we don't do that anymore as the daytime temperatures are already down to 10C (50F).

Sigh... Have to wait 8 or 9 months for warmer weather...

Has anything like this happen to you?  I took out my pan of chicken thigh from the oven with my oven mit.  I flipped over the chicken.  I then touched the pan with my hand not in the glove.  I seemed to forgot there was a reason I was using an oven mit in the first place.

Yeah, I've done that lots of times... Left behind sizzling flesh on a BBQ grilling contraption once that apparently wasn't insulated like it appeared to be... that was a learning experience... for most people... because a few weeks later I almost did it again... only touched it enough to hurt, not burn or blister.

I found that I have an interesting steaky aroma when seared properly.

I have a feeling you must be on a first-name basis with the staff at your local emergency room.

Actually yes, two ER doctors recognized me (but not by name) at different times, but I think it's because I made them laugh... I did learn the hard way not to speak potential comical commentary while being stitched up or having bloody gauze removed from a wound... in the case of the former, it was less what I said, than the sound I made, which is sort of a signature disapproving "Neaaagh" sound, reminiscent of something Shemp of the Three Stooges vintage might utter that I make when experiencing discomfort... I think at some point in life I deliberately made the sound for comical reasons and to "not appear grossed out by what's going on", but now I think I do it by default in that sort of situation.

I did have one different doctor tell my friend that I'm "absolutely not funny at all" after he saw the figure I made my friend for surviving a flesh eating bacterial infection on his hand... The guy was a brilliant surgeon, but had zero sense of humor...

My friend on the other hand loved the figure and still has it displayed in his living room... yeah, the incident was something really serious, but he survived, and if you let the gravity of such a situation instill dread in you, you can succumb to fear... I mean fear is good up to a certain extent, as it keeps most of us from hugging stray bears and juggling flaming chainsaws, but if have a horrible event occur, you learn from it (theoretically) and then move on, and if dealing with it with humor is helpful, then embrace that... I honestly think it's better to defy grim situations with dark humor than to give in to the bleakness of fear or the unknown... The universe is constantly trying to kill us and it eventually will, why not tell it to eff off and have a laugh on it when it fails?

Granted that philosophy is not for everyone, but I knew my friend well enough that we at least share that approach to things.

I've posted this picture before, but that's the figure... minus the display case.
