    Monsters, creatures, aliens, etc - definitely of interest to me in general, but...

    Monster Mashup for Genesis 9 Pro Bundle:

    Male and female barely distinguishable at a glance. Creatures do not seem to look any better or even as good as their G8/G3 equivalents.

    Monster Environment Bundle:

    Bundle of older products with no discount for owned components?

    Daz+ Monster Environment Bundle:

    Same as previous.

    Skin folds aren't even better, neither make any anatomical sense. I don't understand why they even bothered with a 'male' version.

    @mding Cake One, imo, is superior quality. You could try out her Daz+ Click 'n' Render series to see for yourself cheaply. My favourites are the linked one, and the Pop edition.

    Although i didn't mean the Image Based Lighting sets like click'n'render - i own and frequently use most of them, they are great - but referred to the DOF hdri sets which are meant to be used also as background environment like a beach or a forest path to place your chars into. Did you refer to those, too?

    Cake One HDRIs are very high quality in my opinion. I have several of the beach ones. One pretty unique feature of them is that they come with versions that work with DOF. Most HDRIs do not have sharp foregrounds when used with DOF. The Cake One HDRIs have a version that preserve foreground sharpness with the HDRI. They were photographed so that the necessary Render Settings changes work properly with them.

    Sorry, @mding. Yes, I'm referring to the whole lot, as barbult said. I own all except two of the UltraHD sets, and they give great light, the skies are beautiful, and they can be used in all types of situations.

    @GhostofMacbeth - Wow. Rogues HD might be the best G9 males in the store. They don't have the feminine or androgynous looks of many/most G9M, and while their musculature is still a bit on the "orcish" side (oversized upper bodies seeming common to G9 in general), the shaping overall seems much improved in your characters. They bring to mind Jason Statham and David Boreanaz in some of the promos. I'll likely buy them later tonight after Daz posts any other sales or offers for the day.

When I asked Design Anvil about it in another thread, it was said to an oversight in that case. (Perhaps something has changed in the submission process?)     I agree, great faces on the new Rogues set. The G9M body is a no for me. I haven't had the desire to see if I can get the G8M body only to work with G9 yet.

    Unless a user plans to use a DAZ product in the creation of an original game (not a mod to an existing game), then they would have no need for an interactive license, so I don't see it being that big of a deal. Also, some PAs might not want their work used in a game.

    I agree about Rogues though, nice character and I do get the Jason Statham vibe also

    I wish dForce Sexy Suspender Outfit had a shirt closed morph. It's a great looking shirt. I guess I could put a t-shirt under it.

    It is actually fairly tricky to make a close morph, as you need to have  enough space between the shirt and the buttons to leave room for the other side of the shirt if it can be simulated. Else the user need to push the buttons out after simulation, but that might be acceptable.

    I wonder if the suspenders do simulate, and if not how it looks on girls with a different size breasts.

    @Hylas Just wanted to thank you for starting this thread. I was just checking it for the 3rd or 4th time today and thought, man I look at this thread multiple times a day and it has been so enjoyable and informative, I should say thanks to you and everyone who makes it some of the most up to date info you can get about the newest products without having to go and look for it separately, if it's even there at all. Love it.

    Sure, but I've seen people post about wanting interactive licenses for various products, so there seems to be a market (however small) that can be easily served at no additional cost to the artist. And I myself have passed on some of Sade's releases, because there are often similar products that offer additional licenses.

    I don't actually need interactive licenses, but knowing they're available is a welcome reassurance that the artist doesn't have hangups about licensing that could pose a problem in the (admittedly unlikely) case that I would need such licensing at some future point.

    And I do place some real value on the availability of a 3D-printing license - for example, Summer Sleepwear is quite cute, but it's consistently among the first items that I've cut when trimming a cart - because of the lack of an option for a 3D-printing license. It's not *that* big of a deal breaker to me, but it's been bumped out of the cart often enough that I haven't purchased it yet.

    Anyway, I bought GhostofMacbeth's G8 Orc Horde items recently, and those do have all of the additional license options, so a heads up seemed to be in order in case this wasn't a deliberate decision to exclude the interactive option from Rogues. Changes in licensing options from some artists make me think that something in the submission process could have changed. Might be something as simple as having to specify what used to be assumed, or a check box on a form being moved, or something like that.

    I tried.

    I made a dForce add-on, but after I had applied it, I realised that there is no setting for contraction-expansion for a dForce Add-on.

    You can put a top under the shirt. There are some morphs to loosen it.

    And the suspenders does not simulate. It wasn't my expectation, but I was curious. As they act as conforming, they can look a little weird dependant on character morphs and pose, and there is a risk of clipping with the shirt (or other tops) (which might be fixed with smoothing, and collision with the shirt).

    Today's Steampunk Gas Mask seems to be a near clone of BadKitteh's Ragnarok Mask (which has been around in various forms for a while).

    David Brinnen and Forbidden Whispers have done a fine job of modeling and texturing, but it feels a bit weird for someone to produce such a close copy of a very distinctive work by another artist, let alone one whose product is available in the DAZ store. I wonder how BadKitteh feels about that.

    I'm assuming that BadKitteh's mask is a wholly original work, but perhaps both masks are imitations of some other design, which would make things a little different.

    Thoughts?

    well for what it's worth, one can buy real steampunk cosplay masks made of genuine leather of that design and I doubt they were inspired by DAZ content

    From the page for Ragnarok Mask:

    "Ragnarok mask is based on a design of, and licensed by Tom Banwell Leatherworks. Now available for Genesis 3 Female(s) and Genesis 8 Female(s)!!!"

    Beyond that, I'd say they're similar but different enough to be distinct.

    Also, I like having variations of a given concept available. Small details and distinctions can make all the difference sometimes.

    Thanks, I hadn't remembered that (assuming it had ever penetrated my brain in the first place). It did occur to me after posting that the waistband on the trousers would, assuming the parts are separate, hold the closing fabric back and cause unsightly distortion even if my suggestion had worked in principle.
